Chapter 1264 - 1261: What Did Huhu Say?

  • Next Chapter

[Streamer streamer, where are you, I miss Huhu's butt, I miss Huhu's big tail, you…..]

[I'm not only here in person, I also dragged my wife, daughter, brother‑in‑law, and my brother‑in‑law's girlfriend all to the scene to make things harder for the streamer (lol)]

[Huhu smells stinky, but once he falls into my arms he'll turn all nice and fragrant...]

[Streamer, my tears have soaked my potato cakes, now they're numb and spicy and I wanna take Huhu home with me.]

"Hiss..."

Ah Qing widened her eyes, looking at the barrage on the public chat in the livestream room, hugged Huhu tight, patted his belly to calm him down, taking in the shocking sight of a web celebrity's offline fan meet with over ten thousand people coming in groups.

Ah Qing had honestly never imagined this. In her head, for Huhu's offline meet and greet, three to five hundred people would be normal, and two to three thousand would already be incredible.

After all… no matter how popular a web celeb is, they're still just a web celeb. Once you leave the internet and return to real life, you don't really overlap much with everyone's daily routines.

How could people possibly, just because a web celeb calls, spend time, effort, and travel costs to run all the way into some mountain valley.

But Ah Qing had clearly underestimated one sentence: if you're just lazing at home anyway, you might as well grab three or five friends and go out for a stroll.

One person wanting to come, then dragging their family along, turns into three or five people showing up.

Besides, Ah Qing wasn't some nobody; she was the officially certified world‑record Fishing King.

The Fishing King personally coming to the Immortal Palace to sit and talk, and all those anglers who suffer under the stigma of "always coming back empty‑handed," flocked over hoping that one encounter with Ah Qing would let them ascend like a dragon, with fox cries echoing in the nine heavens as they angle for whales.

"Are we going through the underground parking, or…" The nanny van arrived at the barricades in front of the Fox Immortal Palace and pulled up by the roadside, facing a long, winding line of cars. Lin Bingyun turned around to look at Ah Qing in the back seat and asked.

"Little Fox… you were saying you needed to pee real bad, right?" Ah Qing's pupils went blank and her whole body stiffened. Her neck seemed to make a "kaka" creaking sound as she lowered her head to look at the Little Fox and asked.

"Don't you dare pee on my leg, or we're gonna have a problem!" Ansheng looked at Ah Qing with his face full of suppressed laughter, lifted his little snout and pecked her on the head, then looked over at Lin Bingyun and cooed:

"Pull the car over there. In a bit, I'll personally cosplay as a speed bump and a toll booth!"

There were quite a lot of tourists in and around the Fox Immortal Palace, but with the Security Bureau and the public security guys on site helping maintain order, everyone was lining up to go up the mountain in an orderly fashion, or just wandering around inside the Fox Immortal Museum.

Inside the Fox Immortal Museum, every tourist who walked in fell silent and wore an odd expression.

Divine statues need to have golden bodies…

But no one had ever heard of any temple actually using 999 pure Gold to cast the golden body of a statue.

"Hm?"

Ansheng was riding on Ah Qing's shoulders, his chest resting on Ah Qing's head, occasionally letting out a couple of soft coos in response to the audience members around them who said hi to him.

They came to the parking lot in front of the Fox Immortal Palace gates. A signboard stood upright at the entrance, with text in various languages.

[Tourists and viewers, turn left to enter the Fox Immortal Palace.]

[For legal aid or complaints about unethical bosses, go straight for two hundred meters then turn left to reach the Fox Immortal Opera House.]

The tourists followed the sign and split up. Occasionally a few visitors, refusing to play by the rules, walked toward the [Opera House] direction with faces full of curiosity.

But in less than three minutes, they all came running back from around the corner, faces pale with fright.

"Well damn, they've actually stationed troops there!" Ansheng, full of curiosity, rode on Ah Qing to the corner and took a look.

In front of the Opera House there was a security gate, with four or five police cars with flashing lights parked in front, and a dozen or so armed warriors standing guard at the security checkpoint. Everyone had to be questioned by the warriors before entering.

You had to be able to correctly say "Spiritual Particles," "Beast Warrior," or the name of one of the corporations under the Landlord of Longevity to be let into the Opera House.

"Xiaolan, the Opera House can wait. Tell me our opening lines for later first!"

Ah Qing wore a stiff smile as she responded one by one to the audience members who stepped up to greet her, then lowered her voice to speak to the Little Fox:

"The biggest scene I've ever been in was doing morning exercises at school back in the day…"

"Even in my dreams I never dared dream of this many people turning up; I was afraid they'd squeeze me right out of my own dream."

She'd thought this would be a little meetup for fellow enthusiasts, but judging from the loud, excited atmosphere on site, there was probably going to have to be some kind of speech later.

Back in class, when teachers asked questions, Ah Qing never even raised her hand, much less prepared anything like a speech outline.

"What do you even have to say? Later, you just put me on the stage and I'll take care of the rest," Ansheng said, smiling at the clearly uneasy Ah Qing:

"It's not like we're some big leaders. You just call over a few Spirit Beasts and have them do a little runway show on stage, and everyone can just have fun watching the performance together."

"Will that really work?" Ah Qing looked doubtful as she glanced at Ansheng and asked.

"Everyone's already here, so while you're at it, use my savings card and order everyone some fries and cola. Lin Ying seems to have prepared some small gifts over there," Ansheng shrugged, not caring much. "As long as we're not being rude, it's fine."

"Leave the bragging to me..."

"By the way, what program had you originally planned?" Ansheng couldn't help asking, curious.

"I saw the audience all saying they wanted to touch the Little Fox in person offline, so I said, if we all have time, we'll get together, and when the time comes I'll put Huhu on the table so everyone can come up, take photos, and touch the fox's paws."

"But..."

Ah Qing glanced around. The Fox Immortal Palace wasn't quite at shoulder‑to‑shoulder levels of crowding, but saying it was a boiling sea of people, with camera flashes bright as daylight blotting out the sun, would still be accurate.

The only reason people could squeeze their way from the parking lot into the Fox Immortal Palace at all was because security and the public security officers were maintaining order.

"Wow! You really do see me as a beast of burden!" Ansheng stared wide‑eyed at Ah Qing:

"Even if I put on a maid outfit with attack‑speed buff, there's no way I can entertain hundreds of people, right?"

"Taking photos isn't tiring…" Ah Qing muttered, lowering her head in embarrassment.

After they settled on a last‑minute plan, Ah Qing opened up the Little Fox's beloved M‑chain app and maxed out the order on fries and cola.

Everything was moving forward in an orderly fashion.

"Ring ring ring..."

In front of the stage set up outside the Fox Immortal Museum, a piece of gentle music began to play over the speakers.

It drew the attention of everyone inside the Fox Immortal Palace.

"Ying~"

Ansheng, looking delighted, sauntered out from behind the stage, walked up the steps, and came to the central lectern, where he crouched on top and swept a glance over the audience below.

"Ying ying~"

Crouched on the tabletop, Ansheng picked up the Wooden Hammer Chen Nian had found him, clamped it between his two forelegs, and gave the table in front of the microphone a knock, his face full of pride: "Ying!"

"Ah Qing, what did the Little Fox just say!" Hidden in the crowd, Lin Bingyun called out with an odd look on her face, shouting the line they'd rehearsed in advance up toward the stage.

In Ah Qing's livestream room, the two most common barrage lines were: [Holy shit???]

And the other was [Streamer, what did the Little Fox just say.]

"What did the Little Fox just say" had basically become a meme unique to Ah Qing's livestream room.

With Lin Bingyun stirring things up, some of the people gathered in the courtyard and museum, happy to fan the flames, joined in.

"Ah Qing, what did the Little Fox just say!" The shouts rose and fell in waves through the crowd.

Hiding behind the stage, Ah Qing patted her chest, took a deep breath, put on a smile, and jogged up onto the stage. She looked out at the audience and said:

"What did Huhu say?"

"He said he ordered takeout for everyone, but since it's not Thursday today, he only ordered M‑chain. Today, all the fries and cola on site are on the Little Fox!"

"Whoa!"
