From a Martial Arts Sect to an Immortal Cultivation Sect
Chapter 357 ·Thousand-Aspect Sword Qi Scripture
Li Qingqiu and Yuan Li spoke for a full hour. Even after Yuan Li left, Li Qingqiu remained seated in the Lingxiao Courtyard, contemplating Yuan Li’s insights from the past year.
Yuan Li’s application of the Undying Tyrant Body felt uniquely profound to Li Qingqiu, and he intended to learn from it.
Although he was the master, the power he possessed was not focused solely on body cultivation like Yuan Li’s path. He did not have the time to deeply specialize in a single Dao, so learning from his disciple brought him no embarrassment.
Time quickly approached noon.
Xiao Wuqing hurried into the courtyard, bowed before Li Qingqiu, and said softly, “Sect Master, the Qin clan has returned. Qin Jue wishes to see you.”
Li Qingqiu snapped out of his thoughts. “Let him in.”
As one of the earliest clans to support the Clear Sky Sect, the Qin clan had completely risen in status, becoming one of the top five great families within the sect. They had produced several talents, and their members were spread across various halls, holding significant influence.
Soon, Qin Jue entered briskly.
When Li Qingqiu first met him years ago, he had been young. Now, his hair was half-white, and deep wrinkles lined his face like tree bark.
Li Qingqiu was slightly surprised at how aged he had become.
Thinking carefully, it had already been more than ten years since they last met.
Now that Li Qingqiu held great authority, few people could meet him privately. Even when he wandered through the sect, influential families did not dare openly curry favor, resulting in many people not seeing him for decades.
Qin Jue approached the long table and immediately knelt down.
“Sect Master, please save my son!”
Li Qingqiu frowned. “Which son of yours is in trouble?”
He opened the Dao Lineage Panel and quickly located Qin Ye’s portrait, silently letting out a breath of relief.
Although he was not particularly close to Qin Ye, he was still his disciple. He did not wish for his disciple to die outside.
“It’s Qin Ye… he has been missing for months. No matter what, we cannot find him…” Qin Jue said in anguish.
Qin Ye was key to the Qin clan’s rise and had secured many benefits for them. Moreover, Qin Jue deeply cherished him. His disappearance had tormented Qin Jue endlessly.
“Why did you only come to me now?” Li Qingqiu asked.
Qin Jue lowered his head, ashamed. “When the sect discouraged external exploration, our Qin clan still ventured south. We already broke the rules, so I had no face to seek you immediately. Also, the ocean is vast—people often disappear for months. I had to wait.”
Li Qingqiu asked him to explain everything in detail, and Qin Jue complied.
After listening, Li Qingqiu frowned deeply.
With the current information, finding Qin Ye would be like searching for a needle in the ocean.
“The sect is currently restrained by the Myriad Yin Sect. I cannot leave. I can only post a mission in the Experience Hall and increase the Dao reward,” Li Qingqiu said after a moment.
Qin Jue raised his head, hesitant to speak.
Having just returned, he did not fully understand the sect’s situation. Hearing this, he could not press further.
“…Alright.”
Qin Jue responded gloomily, then rose, bowed, and left.
Li Qingqiu also felt troubled. Many disciples went missing every year, and Qin Ye had disappeared overseas—he had no way to search personally.
Everyone had their own fate. Li Qingqiu could not place Qin Ye above the safety of the sect—not even Yuan Li would warrant that.
Fortunately, his other disciples were more sensible, staying within areas he could oversee.
Could it be that the disciple who triggered the ancient formation and was teleported away was Qin Ye?
Li Qingqiu recalled a previous notification but felt Qin Ye did not seem like someone with great destiny.
Compared to his other disciples, Qin Ye was rather ordinary—in both cultivation talent and ability.
Li Qingqiu had already invested plenty of resources into him, no less than others. In this regard, he felt no guilt.
“I hope fortune favors you.”
Li Qingqiu thought silently as he stood up.
After the war with the Myriad Yin Sect, many matters required his decision. The battlefront had stretched too far, and the sect’s manpower was beginning to fall short.
However, Li Qingqiu did not intend to tightly control all territory. As long as he controlled resources, he could allow the existence of martial circles and secular society within his domain.
In the future, he might even allow other dynasties to exist, placing the Clear Sky Sect above them all.
……
Boom!
Shen Yue fell from the sky like a meteor, crashing into the forest and kicking up clouds of dust. Looking around, the land within a hundred miles had already turned into ruins.
Lin Lingzhou, Wan Feng, and Yin Jingxing stood on a broken cliff, watching the battle nervously.
At this moment, another figure in the sky was restraining Yan Duhai—the Sect Master of the Myriad Yin Sect. It was Jiang Zhaoxia.
Jiang Zhaoxia’s hair was disheveled, his body covered in blood. His sword swings had slowed. At a glance, it seemed Yan Duhai was toying with him.
“You two—what sect do you come from? To both possess such extraordinary sword talent…”
Yan Duhai asked, his smile filled with greed as he looked at Jiang Zhaoxia as though he were a priceless treasure.
With a sweep of his sword, a vast surge of sword energy pressed down like a torrential storm, forcing blood to burst from Jiang Zhaoxia’s body as he was sent flying.
Two sword shadows suddenly appeared in midair, crossing to catch Jiang Zhaoxia and gently lowering him beside Shen Yue.
Upon landing, Jiang Zhaoxia’s legs gave way, forcing him to support himself with his sword.
Shen Yue staggered to his feet amid the dust.
“Can you still stand?”
Jiang Zhaoxia gasped, his handsome face drenched in blood and sweat. “Of course… I can fight another thirty thousand rounds!”
With that, he forced himself upright, standing shoulder to shoulder with Shen Yue.
Shen Yue kept his eyes fixed on Yan Duhai. “This time, I’ve dragged you into trouble. Thank you for coming.”
Jiang Zhaoxia snorted. “Blame Senior Brother. He insisted I find you. It wasn’t easy tracking you down. And now that I’ve found you, we run into such a terrifying opponent… Shen Yue, we might die together today.”
“Afraid of death?” Shen Yue asked with a faint smile.
For the first time, he regarded Jiang Zhaoxia not as a junior, but as a comrade-in-arms.
If he were to die alongside him, he felt no regrets.
To comprehend the No-Self Sword Art before death—his life felt complete.
Everyone must die eventually. Shen Yue had long accepted this.
“Afraid? I dared to kill when I was barely a teenager.”
Jiang Zhaoxia smiled disdainfully. Bantering with Shen Yue seemed to restore some of his strength.
Shen Yue smiled even more.
The two once again gathered sword qi, though in this devastated land, their power seemed faint.
Yan Duhai looked down at them, not attacking immediately. His playful smile suggested hidden thoughts.
“He’s stalling… doesn’t seem eager to kill us,” Jiang Zhaoxia said.
“Perhaps he has other intentions,” Shen Yue replied, thinking of the Sword Demon.
If that man were here, perhaps he could easily defeat Yan Duhai.
“After watching so long, isn’t it time to come out?”
Yan Duhai’s voice suddenly echoed across heaven and earth.
Shen Yue and Jiang Zhaoxia frowned—they had not expected someone else nearby.
Boom——
A deafening explosion descended from the sky. A streak of sword light shot down, arriving before them in an instant.
Within the light, a figure appeared—
A woman in white robes, a red sash at her waist, a sword hanging at her side. Her wide sleeves fluttered in the wind, her slender figure standing firm. Her long hair was loosely tied, exuding heroic elegance.
“Yan Duhai, bullying two Spirit Sense Realm juniors—don’t you find that disgraceful?”
Her voice was clear and cold, cutting through all noise.
“Song Qianxiang… do you intend for the Heavenly Sword Sect to oppose my Myriad Yin Sect?”
Yan Duhai asked coldly.
Song Qianxiang replied calmly, “The Heavenly Sword Sect does not contend with other sects. But this man has comprehended the No-Self Sword Art—he cannot die here. I arrived before you. If I truly intended to oppose your sect, you would already be dead.”
Her tone was calm, yet her words were utterly domineering.
Shen Yue and Jiang Zhaoxia did not act, while Lin Lingzhou and the others silently prayed.
Yan Duhai sneered. “If we fought to the death, the outcome would be uncertain.”
“State your terms.”
Song Qianxiang raised her eyes, which seemed to shimmer with sword light. Her beauty was striking, her sharp brows like blades—her arrogance impossible to conceal.
“I want the Thousand-Aspect Sword Qi Scripture you created.”
Song Qianxiang snorted. “You calculate well. You know the Heavenly Sword Sect’s techniques are never passed on. I can agree—but those two alone are not enough.”
“Then what else do you want?”
“Your sword.”
At her words, Yan Duhai’s expression changed drastically. He instinctively tightened his grip.
Suddenly—
A terrifying force pulled at his sword. Looking closely, he realized Song Qianxiang had not moved, yet her overwhelming sword qi was drawing his weapon toward her.
At that moment, Yan Duhai felt the vast gap between them. He could not resist for even two breaths—his sword slipped from his grasp and shot toward her like lightning.
Clang——
The sword embedded itself into the rock at her feet. Its sword intent dissipated like strands of light.
Shen Yue and Jiang Zhaoxia were both forced back by the residual energy, retreating several steps in shock.
Song Qianxiang’s sword qi was far beyond their reach. Before it, they could not even stabilize their own sword intent.
Shen Yue realized that under her sword qi, he could not even maintain the No-Self Sword Art—something even Yan Duhai had failed to suppress.
