After all, that Shelier man is still a criminal of Maxiwa Delta, his face marked as such, not at all a benign character.

If we don’t handle this carefully and trust too easily, who knows how we’ll get backstabbed later. Even if the cooperation is genuine, it’s clearly inappropriate to proceed before the battle starts; otherwise, external opposition and doubt can cause headaches.
