Little Tang Mo started the new semester late because, just like Su Li, he had been at Taoyuan Village.

But even with the delay, Little Tang Mo skipped another grade, just as they had discussed.

By June, Little Tang Mo, who was eight and about to turn nine, would be graduating from elementary school.

When school started again in September, Little Tang Mo would become a middle school student.

By then, Su Li had already received invitations from several middle schools, all asking Little Tang Mo to enroll.

Genius children were a school’s most beloved and sought-after students.

Last semester, Little Tang Mo had represented his school in the national math competition. Despite his young age, he had effortlessly taken first place, attracting the attention of the entire education sector.

The middle schools extending olive branches to Little Tang Mo were, of course, all excellent. However, when Su Li asked him about it, he was less than enthusiastic.

The schools were too far from home.

He wanted to attend a school closer to home. It would be easier for him to get back, Su Li wouldn’t have the tiring task of chauffeuring him, and it would be convenient for them to commute to school together.

Seeing that he wasn’t interested, and since middle school was still some time away, Su Li didn’t press the matter.

However, finding a professional physics teacher, someone like a true master, was now an urgent priority.

Little Tang Mo was growing up. He had his own ideas and goals now, and it was time for him to walk the path he chose for himself.

Su Li’s reasoning was sound, and Little Tang Mo had no objections. The only issue was... the choice of a mentor had to be made very carefully.

Su Li didn’t have the right connections for this, so after some thought, she contacted Wu Sheng.

’Wu Sheng would probably know someone. And there’s also Wu Qihua! As a principal, she must know plenty of people in academia.’

Su Li contacted Wu Sheng first, telling him she wanted to find a teacher for Little Tang Mo.

"Of course. I’ll ask around for you."

Wu Sheng agreed at once. "I can get off work on time today. I’ll head over to your place then."

"Okay. I still need to call your mother. She definitely knows more people than you do," Su Li said, ready to hang up.

"Wait a second." Wu Sheng was exasperated. "Su Li, aside from my mom and Little Mo, don’t you have anything else to say to me?"

Su Li was puzzled. "Like what?"

Wu Sheng said, "...You called yesterday and rattled on for an hour and a half, all about how great Little Point is, then you just hung up. Today, you’re doing it again—saying what you need to and hanging up."

"And I bet when you call my mom, you two can talk for several minutes at least."

Su Li was speechless. ’How does he know that?’

"Su Li, we’re supposed to be getting married, you know. But why do I feel like I’ve already lost your favor?" Wu Sheng genuinely felt this way.

He was well aware of Little Tang Mo’s place in Su Li’s heart, but now it felt like his own mother was about to surpass him too. It gave him a constant sense of crisis!

Wu Sheng suddenly found himself missing the time he was in the hospital.

Back then, Su Li, Wu Qihua, and even Little Tang Mo had all revolved around him. Nothing like now!

Listening to him, Su Li scratched her head. "What do you want for dinner tonight, Wu Sheng? I’ll make it for you."

’Maybe I have been a little unfair to him.’

She’d been so busy lately, she really hadn’t paid much attention to Wu Sheng.

Wu Sheng was finally satisfied upon hearing her question. "Any... anything is fine. I like whatever you make."

Su Li desperately tried to stifle a laugh. She exchanged a few more words with him before hanging up.

While Su Li contacted Wu Qihua, Wu Sheng, on his end, hung up the phone. He sat for a moment before getting up, and as he passed a full-length mirror, he couldn’t help but stop for a second.

’My face is still handsome,’ he thought, looking at his reflection. ’I haven’t gotten ugly.’

Relieved, Wu Sheng went back to his work.

When Wu Qihua received Su Li’s call, it went without saying that she’d be heading to Su Li’s for dinner that evening.

"Sigh, it feels like it’s been ages. It’s so rare for us to all get together for a meal like this."

Wu Qihua remarked with a sigh once they were all seated at the dinner table.

It was true. With one thing happening after another, they hadn’t had a chance to enjoy a proper meal together.

"It’s alright. If nothing else comes up, we’ll be able to eat together often," Wu Sheng said, then paused. "In the future... we can do this every day."

’Once Su Li and I are married, we’ll be able to do this every day!’

Both Wu Qihua and Su Li understood the subtext of his words. Su Li discreetly shot Wu Sheng a look.

Wu Qihua, however, gave her son an encouraging glance.

"Grandma Wu, have some of this." Little Tang Mo placed some of her favorite food on Wu Qihua’s plate.

"Thank you, Little Mo." Wu Qihua patted Little Tang Mo’s head. "Just you wait, Little Mo. Grandma will find an amazing teacher for you. I know a lot of professors and experts."

Little Tang Mo nodded. "Okay. Thank you, Grandma Wu."

After a few days of inquiries, a name came onto their radar: Mu Feng.

"Professor Mu is one of the country’s top physicists," Wu Qihua explained. "He has an excellent reputation and is currently a professor at Imperial University. Many people want to become his disciple, but unfortunately, he rarely takes on students."

"I don’t know him personally," she continued, "but I’ve asked a friend to try and arrange a dinner with him so he can meet Little Mo. If he sees our Little Mo, he’ll definitely be interested."

"These experts and professors are always on the lookout for talent. When they come across a gifted student, they sometimes practically fight over them."

The name Mu Feng sounded familiar to Su Li. In her past life, she had looked up some information on physics experts for Tang Mo’s sake and remembered seeing his name on the list.

But before they could even make contact, Little Tang Mo had already become Mu Feng’s student all on his own.

The whole affair was quite a coincidence, and it all traced back to Mu Haoye—the Brother Glasses who had helped Little Tang Mo before.

Mu Haoye had been visiting his maternal grandmother with his parents at the time. His family was from the Imperial City.

Mu Haoye had a scholarly appearance and wore glasses, but true to his name, his heart was heroic.

Su Li was very grateful to him for helping Little Tang Mo so much back then. Later, when he and Little Tang Mo started to get along so well, Su Li didn’t interfere.

After all, Mu Haoye was a third-year physics major at Imperial University—a bona fide top student. It was only natural that he would get along with a little prodigy and academic whiz like Little Tang Mo.

Once Little Tang Mo had his own goals, he began his own research. While Su Li and the others were looking for a teacher for him, he started spending all his free time at the library.

Whenever he ran into something he didn’t understand, he would call his "big friend," Mu Haoye. Mu Haoye might not have been a genius, but his aptitude was top-notch—more than enough to answer Little Tang Mo’s questions.

Of course, there were some questions Mu Haoye couldn’t answer. In fact, Little Tang Mo sometimes knew things that even he didn’t.

Su Li didn’t really understand the world of these academic superstars. In any case, she couldn’t make heads or tails of their conversations.

She thanked Mu Haoye, and since he was Little Tang Mo’s friend, she invited him over for dinner once.

Both Mu Haoye and Little Tang Mo were straightforward people. After visiting Little Tang Mo’s home, Mu Haoye invited Little Tang Mo to be a guest at his house in return.

Su Li was naturally supportive. After giving him a few reminders, she sent Little Tang Mo off with some homemade snacks.

And on that very visit, Little Tang Mo caught the eye of Mu Feng.

As it turned out, Mu Haoye was Mu Feng’s grandson.

What more could Su Li say? It was simply fate!
