Rin immediately threw both hands into the air in celebration, looking far too pleased with Ethan’s decision.

"I knew it! I really like this ambitious side of you, Ethan!"

Ethan rolled his eyes at him.

"I heard you say I had no choice, so enough talking now. Let’s start moving."

He was already turning toward the door when Rin suddenly raised a hand.

"Hold up."

Ethan stopped and glanced back at him.

"What now?"

Rin pointed toward the glowing apples Ethan had gathered earlier.

"What exactly do you plan to do with the spiritual fruits you already produced?"

Ethan followed his gaze before looking down at the fruits in his hands, a confused expression slowly appearing on his face.

"What am I supposed to do with them again? Didn’t you just say they were no good?"

"I said they weren’t good enough to be sold as those extremely rare and expensive spiritual fruits," Rin corrected him. "I never said we should throw them away."

Ethan raised an eyebrow.

"Then what are we supposed to do with them?"

"We use them to test the waters first."

Ethan frowned.

"Test the what?"

"The waters," Rin repeated, as though Ethan were making things unnecessarily difficult. "We upload them online first. That way, we can build your seller profile with these before we make the first proper launch of your real spiritual fruits."

Ethan’s expression became slightly more interested.

Rin immediately continued, clearly pleased that he had thought of a solution.

"We can still list the apples as spiritual fruits, but we won’t give them the enormous price that actual rare spiritual fruits would have. We’ll simply sell them at the normal price of an ordinary apple."

Ethan stared at him for a moment, processing the idea.

Rin explained further, "Think about it. People might doubt that your glowing apple is actually a spiritual fruit because, like I said before, apples are common. But if we put it online at some ridiculous spiritual-fruit price, they’ll immediately become suspicious. They’ll wonder why an ordinary-looking fruit is costing so much, and most of them probably won’t even bother buying it."

He picked up one of the glowing apples and examined it.

"But if we sell it for the normal price of an apple, then even someone who doesn’t believe our claim probably won’t hesitate too much. From their perspective, they’re only paying the same amount they would normally pay for an apple. Even if they think it might be a scam, they’re not risking some huge amount of money. They can simply buy it and see for themselves."

Rin placed the apple back among the others.

"And that’s exactly what we need. We get to test whether people are interested, you get to learn how the selling process works, and we don’t waste the resources and hard work you’ve already put into producing these fruits. At the same time, we can start building your seller profile before you eventually put the real rare spiritual fruits on the market."

Ethan thought about it carefully.

The more he considered it, the more reasonable it sounded.

He had originally been ready to abandon the apples after learning that ordinary fruits weren’t considered valuable enough to be taken seriously as spiritual fruits, but there was no reason to waste something he had worked so hard to produce when he could use it to gain experience instead.

"Alright," Ethan finally agreed.

Rin smiled.

Ethan, however, still had one problem.

"But how does all this online selling stuff even work?"

Rin stared at him.

"You don’t know?"

"No."

Rin looked at him for a few seconds before shaking his head.

"Seriously?"

"Seriously."

Ethan had never needed to worry about running an online business before, so there was no reason for him to magically know how it worked now.

Rin sighed and decided to explain.

"Well, our phones are the main way we access the online network, obviously. You can use your phone to browse, communicate, shop, and access different online services, but for creating the seller account and setting everything up properly, we need a desktop."

Ethan tilted his head.

"A desktop?"

"Yeah. A desktop computer." Rin nodded as he continued. "The academy has a computer section where students can use the academy’s computers. The selling website we need to use can’t be properly opened and set up through a phone, so we’ll have to do the initial creation from one of the desktops there."

He continued before Ethan could complain. "Once we’ve created the seller account, set everything up, uploaded your products, and launched the page, you won’t need to keep going back there. You’ll be able to monitor everything from your phone afterward. You’ll be able to check whether anyone has bought something, see your orders, keep track of your seller account, and basically manage everything from there."

Ethan’s eyes immediately brightened. "Well, that isn’t an issue, then."

He had been worried that selling online would require him to sit in front of a computer all day, but if he could handle everything from his phone after the initial setup, then it wasn’t nearly as troublesome as he had imagined.

"As long as I can access it from my phone later, then let’s go and do it now."

Ethan motioned toward the door. They had already wasted enough time talking.

The sooner they created the seller profile, the sooner they could put the apples online, and the sooner he could find out whether anyone would actually buy them. More importantly, if this worked, it would give him a foundation for when he eventually produced the genuinely rare spiritual fruits Rin had been talking about.

Ethan was already reaching for the door when Rin suddenly spoke again.

"Oh, wait."

Ethan’s hand stopped then slowly be turned around. "What now?"

Rin gave him a strange smile. "Ummm did I forget to mention something?"

Ethan narrowed his eyes. "What?"

Rin scratched his cheek as though he had only just remembered an extremely important detail. "Each session in the computer room is charged for. And the charge is ridiculously high too."
