Chapter 524: Li Yang's Plan

The Black Sub-Emperor looked at Li Yang’s Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon avatar and said, “Being only at the World Realm, the Slaughter Battlefield is far too dangerous.”

He would be heartbroken if such a peerless genius fell on the Slaughter Battlefield.

Hearing the Black Sub-Emperor’s words, Li Yang nodded respectfully. “Yes, sir!”

He thought to himself, ‘It worked!’

‘Based on the talent and strength I’ve shown, no one here has connected me to Li Yang or Mu Xuan. As for going to the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon clan and potentially facing a soul inspection, I’m not worried about that either. My experience with the Soul Hall of the Thunder Star Beast clan showed me that my situation most likely won’t be discovered. Of course, the Thunder Star Beasts naturally master one Law, making it possible for them to become an expert’s avatar. But Sky-Fierce Flood Dragons naturally master three Laws. According to Soul Ink, it’s almost impossible for any expert to turn a Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon into an avatar. It might be possible, but it has never happened in the history of the Cosmos. So, the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon clan might not even bother to check.’

The Black Sub-Emperor looked at the people around him and said in a stern voice, “You will all keep everything about Kong Yu a secret. No one is to speak of this! Not even to our own clansmen!”

‘Are you kidding me?’ he thought. ‘If news of such a powerful genius gets out, he’ll definitely attract a lot of unwanted attention. Take Mu Xuan for example. Once I learned about him, I wanted to kill him as quickly as possible! If the Thunder Star Beast clan had known how strong Li Yang’s Thunder Star Beast avatar’s Talent was, they certainly wouldn’t have tested it in public.’

“Yes, Elder Heiya!”

“We will absolutely not leak any news about Kong Yu!”

Hearing the Black Sub-Emperor’s words, the Deity Xuan Mo and the others quickly agreed. Even the young Han Yun nodded eagerly.

He looked at Li Yang’s Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon form, a trace of disbelief still in his eyes.

‘This Kong Yu I just met… his displayed Talent is even more terrifying than I imagined!’

Of course, beyond his shock, the young Han Yun also felt a surge of joy.

He was happy, on the one hand, that such a powerful genius had appeared in their clan. On the other, he was thrilled that he was the one who had discovered this genius. With the Talent Kong Yu had displayed, he was bound to be heavily cultivated by the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon clan. It was highly possible he would even become an Emperor in the future!

‘My relationship with Kong Yu is definitely good. If I serve under him in the future, I’ll probably be treated very well.’

“Kong Yu will leave with me. As for you, Xuan Mo, and the others, continue to temper yourselves on the Slaughter Battlefield,” the Black Sub-Emperor said.

It was normal for Deities to temper themselves on the Slaughter Battlefield. With him taking the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon away, it wasn’t feasible for Xuan Mo and the others to just follow them directly back to the clan.

“Let’s go, Kong Yu.”

After saying this with a stern expression, the Black Sub-Emperor wasted no more words. He turned to Li Yang, his face breaking into a smile once more.

“Yes, sir.” Li Yang’s Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon avatar nodded respectfully and followed behind the Black Sub-Emperor.

…

On a massive mountain peak, Li Yang stood silently, his gaze fixed on the distant scene.

“Soul Ink, it worked. The Emperor from the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon clan isn’t suspicious at all,” Li Yang said with a smile.

“Heh heh, why would they suspect anything? The Sky-Fierce Flood Dragons are such high-level life-forms. Besides you, I’ve never heard of anyone possessing a Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon avatar.”

Soul Ink said calmly, “Even if you completely revealed your Laws, even if your Five-Element Laws were identical to your Thunder Star Beast avatar’s, the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon clan would just assume it’s a coincidence. The more powerful an expert is, the more they can sense the terrifying nature of the cosmic rules. Anything that violates the operational principles of the Cosmos is almost impossible. Even if it did happen, it would likely come at an enormous price!”

Li Yang smiled. “There was no need to reveal all Five-Element Laws. Hiding the Thunder Law is no big deal. It just means I won’t be able to enter the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon clan’s inheritance ground for the Thunder Law.”

He had only displayed his Talent for the Four-Element Laws of Space, Time, Fire, and Darkness. If he entered the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon clan’s inheritance grounds, he would certainly choose to enter the grounds for those four Laws.

As for the Thunder Law, since he hadn’t displayed it, he obviously wouldn’t choose to enter its inheritance ground.

Li Yang wasn’t bothered by this in the slightest.

“The Thunder Star Beast clan’s inheritance ground for the Thunder Law is so effective it can almost rival the Thunder Inheritance Palace in our Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall. Since I have access to that, there’s absolutely no need for me to enter the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon clan’s.”

It was obvious with a little thought. The Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon clan likely emphasized the Space Law more and would naturally neglect the Thunder Law somewhat. In terms of inheritance effectiveness, their Thunder Law inheritance ground was bound to be inferior to the Thunder Star Beast clan’s.

After their brief exchange, Li Yang looked into the distance, a hint of anticipation on his face.

He clenched his right fist, and a strange, red Token materialized in his hand. It was the entry Token for the super inheritance ground on the Slaughter Battlefield!

“Everything is settled. I won’t delay any longer. It’s time to head directly to the super inheritance ground!” Li Yang said with a smile.

The Token allowed one to enter the super inheritance ground and stay for ten years, during which they could receive the inheritance for any Law.

Li Yang was full of anticipation. Rumor had it that this super inheritance ground was incredibly effective, even surpassing the inheritance grounds of the Human Race and the Demon Race!

No expert from either the Human Race or the Demon Race had ever refuted these claims, which suggested they were very likely true!

By entering it, the difficulty of becoming a Deity in the future would be reduced by at least half!

What kind of odds were those?

Even a treasure that increased one’s chances of breaking through to the Divine Realm by a mere one-thousandth would be considered a supreme treasure in the Cosmos, fought over madly by all!

Moreover, after the ten-year inheritance period, one could also obtain a treasure. These treasures ranged from Divine Artifacts and powerful Cultivation Techniques, and one peerless genius had even managed to obtain a Sacred Artifact from within.

Li Yang’s eyes were full of anticipation. ‘My Thunder Star Beast avatar is with the Thunder Star Beast clan, and my Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon avatar is about to enter the Sky-Fierce Flood Dragon clan. The plans for both my avatars have succeeded. Now, the only thing left for me to do is enter that super inheritance ground! I’ll stay inside for the full ten years, and then come out to temper myself! It’s true that the Slaughter Battlefield is for tempering, but since I have a way to rapidly increase my strength right now, why wouldn’t I raise my power beforehand? It’s best to lay low first, maximize my strength, and then begin tempering. So, according to my plan, the real tempering will only begin after I emerge from the super inheritance ground!’

“Mm, the super inheritance ground is a good opportunity. It should be able to raise your strength by a whole new level,” Soul Ink said with a nod.

“And if you can get a Sacred Artifact after the ten years are up, that would be even better.”
