Chapter 506 - 503: Gideon Lawson Protects His Cub

Wyatt Thorne’s voice was gentle, but his expression was cold.

Anyone could see that Chloe Sinclair wanted nothing to do with him.

And yet he insisted on cozying up to her.

Of course, Wyatt Thorne had no idea what everyone else was thinking.

He had made a point of styling his hair today. Malnutrition had left it with a slight yellowish tint, which gave it a unique sheen under the lights.

But one glance was all it took for Chloe Sinclair to notice how coarse Wyatt Thorne’s hair was. It was obviously not well-maintained.

As Chloe Sinclair thought this, she disliked him even more.

’I can’t believe Wyatt Thorne was already this kind of person back then.’

"You’re apologizing on behalf of Yuna Sutton?"

Wyatt Thorne froze, stepping in front of Chloe Sinclair before nodding. "Yes, I’m apologizing on her behalf. I’m the one who caused the misunderstanding. It’s affected you, so I have to apologize."

With that, Wyatt Thorne gave Chloe Sinclair a deep bow, which she accepted with perfect composure.

Her gaze, however, was pure scorn. "You say you’re apologizing on Yuna Sutton’s behalf, but did you tell her you were coming? You’re apologizing to me, but have you told her to stop bothering me from now on?"

Chloe Sinclair’s sharp words left Wyatt Thorne completely speechless.

He gave Chloe Sinclair a puzzled look, but when he saw the undisguised contempt in her eyes, his whole demeanor changed.

Wyatt Thorne managed to keep his composure. He took a deep breath, clearly on the verge of anger, but then he suddenly smiled. "Chloe, don’t misunderstand. That’s not what I meant. If you’re unhappy about it, I’ll be sure to make things clear with Yuna when I see her. But my apology is sincere. Please, forgive me."

Chloe Sinclair scoffed.

’Sincere?’

’Like he has any other choice.’

Gideon Lawson, who had been standing to the side, couldn’t help but frown before suddenly stepping forward.

Their eyes met. Wyatt Thorne’s jaw dropped, and he blinked several times.

"You’re..."

He had a feeling this was the same person who had beaten him up in the alley.

"Who else could it be?" Gideon Lawson cut him off without hesitation.

Seeing Wyatt Thorne’s frown, Gideon couldn’t resist. "Don’t even start with that ’you look so familiar’ crap. Let me tell you, that line is ancient history to me. Don’t go around trying to claim connections that aren’t there."

Wyatt Thorne was speechless.

He was about to speak again, but Gideon Lawson just spat on the ground, the spittle landing right in front of his sneakers.

Wyatt Thorne had never been so humiliated. His voice trembled as he pointed a finger at Gideon Lawson, his eyes turning vicious. "How dare you spit at me?!"

Gideon Lawson: "Not only am I gonna spit at you, I’m gonna have someone beat your ass. If you don’t want to get your face pounded in, you’d better get the hell out of my sight. And stop fucking hovering around Chloe Sinclair all day. You really think a pretty boy from the computer science department can cook up some romance with a top student from Emberfall University? If you’re looking to latch onto someone rich, look elsewhere. You’re not worthy of her."

Gideon Lawson held nothing back, and Wyatt Thorne’s face flushed crimson.

Gideon Lawson saw right through him. In one fell swoop, he not only hit a raw nerve but also exposed Wyatt’s deepest desires for everyone to hear.

Hearing the murmurs of the students around them, Wyatt Thorne was finally certain. This black-haired punk in front of him was the leader of the gang that had beaten him up in the alley outside of school yesterday.

"You’re talking nonsense!" Wyatt Thorne retorted, his neck flushed red.

Gideon Lawson shot him a look. "You know perfectly well whether I’m talking nonsense or not."
