The people blockading the company entrance were all construction workers.

Chloe Sinclair scanned the crowd, her gaze sweeping left and right.

Finally, her eyes landed on a specific spot. Pointing at someone, she said, "You. Out."

"And you."

"Don’t bother shrinking back into the crowd. I’ve already seen you."

Chloe quickly singled out a few people in the crowd and beckoned to them with her finger.

Everyone followed Chloe’s gaze and quickly locked onto the three people she had indicated.

The crowd immediately parted, clearing a path.

The three men had nowhere to hide.

They were completely exposed in front of everyone.

"Fuck!"

One of them cursed under his breath, his face dark.

But Chloe heard him loud and clear.

She spoke up, "You three were the ones making the most noise just now. Why don’t you tell us exactly what our Shaw Group has done wrong?"

The three men exchanged a look, but they all kept their mouths shut.

Chloe, however, just let out a cold snort. "What? Cat got your tongue?"

Chloe’s voice dropped low, each word like a shard of ice, plunging the three men into a frigid abyss.

Chloe’s eyes, sharp as knives, bored into them. She said, "Since you won’t talk, I’ll talk for you!"

"Your next step was to incite the workers to storm the company, right? While you’re at it, you’ve also called a few business reporters to get today’s events on the news?"

The complexions of the three men changed in unison as they stared at Chloe in terror.

Seeing their reaction, Chloe knew she had guessed right.

She demanded bluntly, "Who sent you!"

The three didn’t dare to speak, choosing to remain silent.

Of course, Chloe knew they wouldn’t say anything, so she wasn’t in a hurry.

She turned to the crowd and said earnestly, "Did you all see that?"

"Do any of you recognize these three?"

Only then did the workers realize that they didn’t know the three people who had been causing the biggest ruckus.

"Yeah, who are these guys? Their skin is so fair and smooth, they don’t look like they work on a construction site."

"I haven’t seen them on the site either."

"Does anyone know them?"

But after asking around, everyone just shook their heads, indicating they didn’t recognize them.

Seeing that the crowd was starting to catch on, Chloe interrogated the three men, "Since nobody here knows you, I’d like to ask: who exactly are you?"

The three men were groaning inwardly.

But they had taken the money, so they had to do the job.

They had gone through so much trouble to trap Jasper Shaw at the construction site, and it had worked. Jasper was indeed trapped.

But then this woman had come out of nowhere.

’Don’t know where this little broad came from, but she’s got a sharp tongue.’

"We’re from out of town. We just got here, so it’s normal that they don’t recognize us."

Chloe shot the man a look, speechless. "If you’re from out of town, then what’s with the perfect local accent? Do you take me for a fool who can’t recognize an Emberfall accent?"

Not everyone can master the capital’s accent. Every place has its own dialect, and you can immediately tell the difference.

The man froze, likely not expecting Chloe to be so difficult. He decided to play dumb and said nothing more.

Chloe said directly, "Assistant Winters, call the police. Tell them these three are disturbing the peace at our company."

After that, she glanced toward the reporters hiding behind a pillar and in the bushes in the distance, then yelled, "If you don’t want to receive a letter from the Shaw Group’s lawyers tomorrow, then get the hell out of here, now!"

Despite her warning, the group of reporters continued to play dead.

Chloe: "Assistant Winters, go pick up a few small stones."

Ian Winters was confused, but he still went to a planter by the company entrance and picked up a few small stones.

Chloe weighed them in her hand, then suddenly threw them with speed, precision, and force toward several spots.

Instantly, a chorus of pained cries like "OW!" and "OUCH!" rose up.

Chloe’s expression was grim. "Ian, have the security guards bring those people over. And call the police. They’ve definitely filmed a lot of material. If there’s evidence, contact our lawyers and file a lawsuit immediately."

Hearing this, Ian Winters, as if he’d finally found someone to rely on, nodded eagerly. "Got it."

Since the last incident, the company had doubled its security force.

So, mobilizing personnel was extremely simple.

In less than a minute, a group of security guards appeared in everyone’s line of sight.

It was the first time the workers had seen the security guards, who were all strong, well-built, and imposing.

They were so intimidated they didn’t dare to make a sound.

Chloe stood in front of the guards, looking utterly commanding. She looked at the crowd and said earnestly, "The Shaw Group and Sutton Real Estate are merely partners. We are not involved in the construction work. This shoddy construction is Sutton Real Estate’s mess to clean up. It’s a blame that the Shaw Group will absolutely not accept."
