Chapter 468: Chapter 236: This Area Is a Little Too Large

"Chen Fei, come over here for a second." Seeing Chen Fei, who was helping carry several large bags, Su Chen waved him over.

Chen Fei immediately handed the bags to a sturdy man beside him and hurried over. He bent down and asked respectfully, "Sir, do you have any instructions?"

"Once you get the personnel settled, take a few of your men and escort the exploration team to the camp. While you’re at it, take the Mel brothers to the farm for the day. Do your best to make sure they don’t cross paths with anyone else," Su Chen instructed, his tone somewhat grave.

"Yes, Sir!" ’Although he didn’t know the reason for Su Chen’s orders, he understood there had to be one.’

After Chen Fei had left, Xiao Chen spoke up. "Are you worried the Mel brothers will attract Salman’s attention?"

Su Chen gave a noncommittal shrug. "From your conversation with him yesterday, it’s clear Salman is a pretty sharp guy. Besides those Russians, everyone else on this ranch is one of ours. If he sees the Mel brothers, it’ll inevitably make him suspicious."

"It’s better to keep the brothers out of sight and avoid drawing their attention." The priority right now was, of course, the Tsar’s treasure. The gold mine was just Su Chen’s cover story, so it didn’t matter if other people went to see it.

"Okay. I’ll give those guys a heads-up in a bit. You can have Chen Fei lead the team; that should give you some peace of mind," Xiao Chen added. After all, they were his men, so he would be partially responsible if anything went wrong.

"Alright!" Su Chen nodded.

Just then, Salman and Abdullah emerged from the villa. Seeing Su Chen and Xiao Chen sitting in the open area, they immediately walked over, exchanged greetings, and sat down on a nearby wooden bench.

Noticing the lingering fatigue from the previous night’s drinking on their faces, Su Chen had the kitchen bring out the breakfast that had already been prepared. They all ate while planning the day’s trip, since he had promised Salman and Abdullah he would take them hunting.

When the conversation turned to hunting, Salman and Abdullah’s spirits visibly lifted. They were champing at the bit, already fantasizing about hunting big game.

To that end, Salman even specifically asked Su Chen if the ranch had a camera or anything similar, wanting to document his heroic moments.

Su Chen called Ivan over to ask. As it turned out, the ranch did indeed have a camera—one that Ivan had bought to document his life.

After breakfast, the group rested for half an hour before preparing to set off for the mountains. During that time, Chen Fei came looking for Su Chen, but seeing that Salman and Abdullah were there, he shot Su Chen a meaningful glance and left.

"Alright, we’re changed. Let’s head into the mountains!" The party heading into the mountains this time was quite large. Besides Su Chen and his group, Salman had also brought four of his bodyguards, each carrying a large pack with a weapon slung across his chest.

Su Chen glanced at the bodyguards’ equipment. They were all armed with MP5s, standard for security and emergency response. While they packed a punch, they weren’t exactly ideal for hunting.

Once they were in the mountains, Salman and Abdullah found the experience quite novel. They didn’t have such dense forests back in their country, and the tall, straight birch trees had a unique charm.

But as the group passed through the birch forest and began to venture deeper into the mountains, Salman and Abdullah started to struggle. The rugged, difficult mountain path completely wore them out.

If Su Chen hadn’t insisted they change into clothes suitable for trekking through the forest, they probably would have already given up and headed back.

"How about we rest for a bit?" Seeing Salman and Abdullah panting heavily from exhaustion, a faint smile flickered in Su Chen’s eyes.

"Yes, let’s rest. I had no idea the trail would be this rough!" Salman immediately ordered his bodyguards to clear a spot. They even spread a blanket on the ground before pulling several bottles of what looked like expensive mineral water and some snacks from their packs.

Su Chen sighed inwardly at the sight. ’These rich guys sure know how to live. Anyone who didn’t know better would think they came out here for a picnic.’

’When we set out, I wondered why the bodyguards were all carrying such large packs. So they were filled with all sorts of supplies for the trip.’

After a ten-minute rest, the group set off again. By the time they reached the camp, Salman and Abdullah had lost all their earlier enthusiasm. The two of them were completely wiped out.

The moment they reached the camp, they collapsed into chairs, showing no sign of wanting to move. They grabbed the water a bodyguard handed them and guzzled it down, completely devoid of their usual princely composure.

After chugging half a bottle of water, Salman said with a wry smile, "Sigh... Su Chen, I’m starting to think it would be fine if we just skipped the hunt!"

A smile spread across Su Chen’s face. "Hahaha! Don’t worry about it. Get some rest, and we can see how you feel this afternoon. There’s plenty of game in the woods around the camp, though it’s mostly just pheasants, rabbits, and the like. If you’re lucky, you might even spot a roe deer."

"If you’re not opposed, you could still give it a try just for the experience. After all, it’d be a shame to come all this way and not even take a shot!" Su Chen had his own ulterior motives. ’If Salman and Abdullah go hunting in the woods, I can go check on the gold mine. With them around, it always feels like someone’s watching, which makes it hard to get anything done.’
