Chapter 481: Chapter 240: Really Found It
Su Chen even went to the kitchen to have them cook a good meal and send it over to Chen Fei and Mel.
Once everything was arranged, Su Chen opened the heavy wooden door to the dining room and walked in. Li Li had already finished lunch and was now carefully reading a document.
The moment she saw Su Chen walk in, Li Li immediately stood up.
"Boss!"
Su Chen gave a calm wave, gesturing for her not to be so formal. He then sat back down, picked up his still-warm meal, and started to eat.
"How much money is in the mining company’s account? Is it enough to cover normal operations?" Su Chen asked after polishing off the food in his bowl in a few quick bites.
"The company’s account currently holds over thirty million Rubles. It’s enough to maintain normal expenses, no problem. But if we’re going to start up the gold mine, we’ll need a large injection of capital to see results in a short amount of time."
As the saying goes, "The roar of machinery brings mountains of gold." Once a mine officially begins production, it never stops. The daily expenses all require financial support; you could say it’s like spending money like water.
Of course, the returns are also incredibly substantial. For a gold mine, it’s no exaggeration to say you’d be raking in fortunes daily!
One "dou" of gold is approximately 195 kilograms. Calculated at the current market price for gold, a "dou" of gold is worth over one hundred million. Rounded up, that’s a daily income of "just a little" over a hundred million!
Considering the gold content and the rubidium ore at Su Chen’s mine, who knows how many fortunes it would bring in per day.
"I’ll transfer one hundred million to the company account in a bit. Get everything set up as quickly as possible. Every day of delay is a loss!"
Hearing Su Chen’s words, Li Li’s eyes filled with fighting spirit. As long as the money was there, she could guarantee they could officially start work within three days.
Of course, she wasn’t about to make any verbal guarantees. Saying a lot was no match for doing a lot; it was better to let her actions speak for themselves.
Li Li didn’t stay at the ranch for long. After receiving the notification that Su Chen’s one-hundred-million transfer was complete, she had the senior managers who came with her pay their respects to Su Chen, the boss behind the scenes. Then, she took her people and returned to Irkutsk City to start preparations.
"Well, it’s getting late. I should be going."
Xiao Chen came downstairs, suitcase in hand. Xuan and Huang, who had been waiting for some time, immediately took his luggage and carried it toward the SUV at the door.
"Mm, be careful on the road." Su Chen didn’t say anything sentimental. He just nodded. It wasn’t as if they would never see each other again—Xiao Chen was simply returning to the country first.
Xiao Chen said nothing more, simply patting Su Chen on the arm before walking to the car. He opened the passenger door and hopped in.
"See you in the Imperial Capital!" Xiao Chen rolled down the car window and waved at Su Chen.
"See you in the Imperial Capital!"
The SUV slowly pulled away and soon disappeared from Su Chen’s line of sight.
Just then, Chen Fei and Mel, now well-fed and rested, walked over to Su Chen.
"Sir," "Boss!"
Looking at how full of energy they both were, they were a world apart from their previous state.
"It’s good to see you two in high spirits. I can rest easier now. Your efforts will not be in vain." Su Chen paused, then continued, "Chen Fei, go find Ivan and arrange for a truck, a patrol team, and some food and water. Be prepared to set out at any time."
He then turned to Mel and said, "As for you, Mel, just stay here and rest up. Hiri can go with them."
Mel knew his own physical condition. He wouldn’t be much help if he went. ’Better to stay here and recover for future tasks than to go and just be a burden.’
"Sir, are you sure about bringing the patrol team?" Chen Fei asked, a little hesitant.
"It’s fine. These men are trustworthy. Think about it, the people over by the gold mine all know there’s placer gold in the river, but have you seen them sneaking off to pan for it? Besides, we couldn’t hide such a large amount of gold even if we wanted to. It’s better to just be direct."
"Also... I’m worried that delays could bring complications. It’s better to move the items back sooner and avoid any potential mishaps."
Chen Fei said no more after hearing that. He just nodded and turned to walk toward Ivan’s cabin, while Mel went back to his own room to relay the boss’s arrangements to Hiri.
