Chapter 194: Chapter 111: A Level-2 Wizard’s Greeting Gift, Precious Soul Spirit Water (2)

Amidst the flickering flames, a slender figure in a gray robe quickly took shape.

Three silver threads were embroidered on the right breast of her gray robe—the mark of a Third Level Apprentice.

The sudden arrival of the Female Apprentice caused a stir among the newcomers, and whispers rippled through the crowd like a rising tide.

It wasn’t because of her rank, but because her appearance was so unique.

Her face was exquisitely beautiful. A small, amber-colored horn grew at an angle from her forehead, and her long, pointed ears were like those of an Elf, easily drawing everyone’s gaze.

"That has to be some kind of bloodline, right?"

"I think that’s the ’Moon-Horned Elf’ bloodline. The horn is called the ’Moon God’s Horn,’ and I’ve heard that bloodline is incredibly powerful."

"The Moon God’s Horn is almost as long as a pinky finger. The concentration of her bloodline must be incredibly high!"

A buzz of discussion filled the air as everyone speculated about the Female Apprentice’s origins.

Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, the Female Apprentice stepped directly toward Mo Ning and his two companions. Her red lips parted. "You’re Mo Ning, right?"

Hundreds of pairs of eyes instantly locked onto the boy who had been standing silently to the side.

Deep astonishment was written on every face.

Everyone had assumed that Anya was the strongest member and leader of their small team.

No one had expected that this imposing Third Level Apprentice would call out Mo Ning’s name.

The Female Apprentice’s next words landed like a bombshell, sending shockwaves through the hearts of the newcomers:

"You crazy kid. You single-handedly destroyed this entire assessment, completely defeating the academy’s purpose of honing the newcomers."

Mo Ning stood his ground calmly, an innocent smile on his face.

Inwardly, however, he was grumbling. ’You call this honing? Gale-force winds, torrential rain, mountains shrouded in dense fog, a massive flood, and poisonous insects everywhere... If you ask me, this was clearly just torture.’

The Female Apprentice’s tone shifted, becoming a little more cheerful. "By the way, my name is Nasha."

She then made an elegant gesture. "The Second Level Wizard, Lady Yi Lin, wishes to see you. Come with me."

The crowd erupted into an uproar.

There was already an insurmountable gap between a newcomer and a First Level Wizard, let alone a Second Level Wizard.

The Female Apprentice’s casual words delivered an unprecedented shock to everyone.

By now, even the slowest person had put two and two together—this newcomer named Mo Ning must have done something extraordinary during the assessment to earn a personal audience with a Second Level Wizard.

Mo Ning was slightly taken aback. He immediately dropped his "innocent" expression, replacing it with a respectful and proper demeanor.

"It is my honor to be summoned by the Lord Wizard."

He gave a slight bow, his posture humble and solemn.

But inwardly, he could only manage a helpless, bitter smile.

’She’s a Third Level Female Apprentice, and she made such a scene in front of hundreds of newcomers. From now on, I’m destined to be the center of their attention.’

’I was hoping to use Anya’s halo to deflect some of the attention, but it looks like that little plan has gone completely up in smoke.’

He didn’t even need to ask. He had already guessed that the "Second Level Wizard" she mentioned was, with absolute certainty, the master of the Deep Red Rose Witchcraft Laboratory.

As for why this powerful figure would summon him so publicly, and why she would have Nasha announce it so ostentatiously in front of everyone—he already had a faint inkling.

Nasha shot an imperceptible glance at Anya, exchanging a quick look with her niece. Then, she took a pinch of Instant Shadow Powder from her slender waist and gently scattered it.

WHOOSH—

Pale flames surged upward again.

This time, instead of scattering, the flames coalesced into a ring that tightly enveloped Mo Ning and Nasha.

It was Mo Ning’s first time personally experiencing teleportation via Instant Shadow Powder, and he was filled with curiosity.

He watched every subtle change in his surroundings without blinking.

His surroundings rapidly dimmed as if all light had been sucked away, and a faint dizziness washed over his mind.

The strangest part was the appearance of countless "lines" in his vision that seemed to transcend sight itself. They registered as lines to his senses, darting rapidly all around him.

An instant later, the dizziness vanished abruptly.

The darkness receded as quickly as an ebbing tide, revealing a spacious hall paved with red tiles.

Each hexagonal tile had a lustrous, Crystal-like texture and was carved with the image of a rose.

But the craftsmanship of the carving was extraordinary—to the naked eye, the roses looked as if they were growing, alive, right out of the tiles.

As his gaze swept across the floor, it looked like a jungle of roses, so beautiful it was breathtaking.

Nasha saw the amazement in Mo Ning’s eyes and spoke in a friendly tone,

"You’ve probably guessed by now, but this is the Rose Hall of the Deep Red Rose Witchcraft Laboratory. You’ll be a frequent visitor here from now on."

She paused, then added with a smile, "Perhaps you’ll be frequenting this Rose Hall for decades to come."

The Female Apprentice’s tone was very gentle, making her seem like a completely different person from the sharp-tongued "Sharp-Horned Whip Demon" of a moment ago.

Mo Ning pulled his gaze away from his surroundings and calmly offered a formulaic pleasantry, "I look forward to it."

Then, he couldn’t help but voice the question that had been circling in his mind:

"During the teleportation with the Instant Shadow Powder, those ’lines’ I saw... were they the result of Space Anchor Points interfering with my mind?"

This conclusion was the result of his own deductions, integrating the fragments of spatial knowledge he had obtained when his Eye of Truth analyzed the Third Level Witchcraft, Eternal Night Sky.

However, he wasn’t entirely certain, so he took this opportunity to seek confirmation from the Third Level Apprentice before him.

It was also a subtle probe—a way to find out if the Deep Red Rose Laboratory conducted any research into Space Magic.
