Chapter 198: Chapter 1: Pilot Kid, Another Blockbuster Theory, A Strong Person’s Treatment

"Mr. Aviator!"

Reina’s voice was a mix of teasing and respect, with a melodic lilt to it. "You and Anya head on to the Cold Pine Forest. I’ll go back and bring the food basket over."

Mo Ning nodded slightly.

Reina waved and trotted out of the Lecture Hall.

Mo Ning raised his hand and cast a Trick—Book Organization.

A torrent of Magic Power, like an invisible hand, poured out. Dozens of sheets of scale pattern paper trembled in unison, instantly arranging themselves into a neat stack.

With a soft CLICK, the binder automatically closed.

Anya’s eyes lit up as she watched, and she couldn’t help but ask, "You’ve made a lot of progress optimizing that Trick, haven’t you?"

The Noble Lady clearly remembered Mo Ning casting this same Trick to organize his notes after their last Divination and Alchemy class.

Back then, all the papers had fluttered for a moment before automatically stacking themselves neatly, taking about 0.2 seconds.

But this time, the papers had merely trembled before instantly falling into place. It was more than ten times faster.

Having been at the academy for four months and having studied so much of the Knowledge of Divination so intensively, she naturally understood what this meant: a massive optimization of the Divination Model.

Mo Ning smiled. "Yes."

He had borrowed over two thousand Black Tower Points’ worth of Divination Books from the Cabin in the Woods all at once. After poring over those massive tomes for several months, this Trick was one of the recent fruits of his labor.

He was awakening the knowledge that slumbered within the pages, gradually converting it, bit by bit, into his own power.

He picked up the binder, tucked it under his left arm, and began to speak with ease as he walked toward the exit.

"Personally, I find Book Organization to be a very interesting Trick.

"Its function seems extremely simple—all it does is organize books and drafts, stacking them neatly.

"Logically, its Divination Model should be quite simple.

"But the reality is counterintuitive. Its model actually contains six simplified sigils, whereas most Tricks only have three or four. So, Book Organization is actually a rather complex Trick."

Anya followed beside him, listening with rapt attention, her attitude like that of an Apprentice listening to a Wizard’s teachings.

Mo Ning continued to explain, "The reason for this counterintuitive situation is that when Casting, you need to organize dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of sheets of paper simultaneously.

"And this is a classic ’Magic Parallel Stream’ problem. The more sheets of paper, the more parallel streams are required.

"Of course, you could forgo the Magic Parallel Stream and have the pages organize themselves one by one, but that would be far too slow."

Hearing this, a smile blossomed on the Noble Lady’s pretty face.

"It would be too slow! With too many sheets of paper, a single casting could take over ten seconds, maybe even half a minute. No Wizard could tolerate such inefficiency."

Mo Ning grunted in agreement. "Exactly. The Magic Parallel Stream is the only solution."

No one knew better than Anya just how profound Mo Ning’s attainments were in the Divination Domain.

For the past few months, whenever she had any questions about Divination, she only had to ask to receive an immediate answer.

Mo Ning could often unravel a confusion she had been pondering for ages with just a few simple words.

The solutions he provided were often completely different from those recorded in the Divination Books.

But his methods were more ingenious and far more concise.

And any newcomer knew that for a Witchcraft Model, conciseness meant high efficiency, low Magic Power consumption, and greater power.

By now, an idea had gradually taken root in Anya’s mind: ’Mo Ning is someone who truly and completely understands Divination.’

He had long since deconstructed the Knowledge of Divination, broken it down, and digested it on the deepest level, completely integrating it into his own mind to be used at will.

The other newcomers were completely different.

They could only rigidly memorize formulas and mechanically apply them according to the strict rules etched in the books.

It was the difference between heaven and earth!

Anya even felt that if the academy gave Mo Ning a chance to take center stage in the Lecture Hall, the newcomers would surely be able to learn much more.

Mo Ning’s Sheepskin Boots stepped down onto the first step, and the topic of conversation deepened.

"The Magic Parallel Stream is a very fundamental, yet crucial, problem in Divination.

"The Level Zero Witchcraft we’ll be learning in the future, and even the higher First Level Witchcraft, will only involve the parallel stream more and more. You should pay more attention to it."

Anya understood the hidden implication in his words. "I’ll start studying the Book Organization Trick tomorrow."

’To put it bluntly, figuring out the parallel stream problem now is laying the foundation for the future.’

The Noble Lady understood that this was one of the benefits of being around a genius.

He was always casually dropping pearls of wisdom—things the lecturers in class would never tell you.

As long as she was willing to listen, she could avoid many detours in the future. She might even find that, without realizing it, the height she had climbed on the tower of knowledge had already left her peers far behind.

Anya blinked her pretty eyes and asked a crucial question.

"Have you made some kind of breakthrough innovation in your research on the Magic Parallel Stream problem?"

’Without a breakthrough innovation,’ she thought, ’there’s no way to explain that unbelievably high Casting efficiency.’

Mo Ning walked unhurriedly toward the exit, the corners of his lips turning up slightly. "I wouldn’t call it a breakthrough, but I did come up with something a little new."

Anya was instantly thrilled.

’Wow! This is big news!’

’She absolutely refused to believe it was just "something a little new." It had to be another highly innovative Divination Theory.’

Having been at the academy for this long, she knew all too well the value of a new Divination Theory.

The Noble Lady’s eyes shone with excitement as she eagerly pressed, "Are you going to write a paper on it?"

Mo Ning nodded nonchalantly. "It’s already written. I just submitted it to the *Shining Light of the Black Tower* this morning."

’In his opinion, the impact of this paper was in no way inferior to his last one on the *Highway Bridge Technique*.’

Due to the universality of the parallel stream problem, this paper had a much broader range of applications and was naturally more valuable.

Anya grew even more excited, a faint blush appearing on her fair cheeks. "The next issue of *Shine* comes out in three days. I’ll definitely have to read it then."

She had already seen the Silver Pen Badge, so of course, she knew who "The River Flows Eastward" was.

’Even though she knew in her heart that Mo Ning’s new theory would most likely be far beyond her current level of Divination, she just loved reading his papers. The wisdom and brilliance hidden between the lines captivated her.’

「Soon.」

The two of them passed through the Secluded Path and stepped into the small plaza of the dormitory area.

Instead of heading back to their respective residences, they turned directly onto another path leading toward the Cold Pine Forest.

In the small plaza, several newcomers turned in unison to watch, their gazes following Mo Ning’s back until he disappeared around a bend in the path.

Such was the treatment reserved for a Strong Person.

Among the newcomers, rumors about Mo Ning were already flying everywhere—countless people eagerly discussed everything he said and did each day.

Even the chilly and usually deserted Cold Pine Forest had become a popular gathering spot for newcomers because of him.

It had to be said, humanity’s tendency to gravitate toward the strong was a truly interesting phenomenon.
