Fuck!!!! I'm Having The Alpha Princess's Baby.
Chapter 416: Guru Doesn’t Like Princess
The moment Princess woke up from her slumber, she found herself staring at Guru’s thick beard and angry eyes.
She also happened to be lying flat on the cold floor of another bar, different from the one they first met.
When she pushed herself up and got back on her feet, her friends were nowhere to be seen, and neither were Guru’s two boys.
"Wakey, wakey... Princess Kings. Or should I say... Pussy Kings?" Guru mocked, tilting his head with a wide grin.
He really was not happy about what he witnessed.
Princess didn’t need to say anything. She already knew why he was calling her that name. Of every possible gig she could have done for Guru to flex her power in front of him, it had to be digging up a bloody graveyard in the middle of the night.
"Where are they?" Princess asked, rubbing the back of her neck and looking around the empty place for her two friends.
"Sent them back home. I don’t think they left, though. Probably around the corner somewhere with my boys. You want scotch or milk?" Guru asked, gesturing toward a heavy glass filled with amber liquor sitting on the counter.
"What time is it? I have to call Faye," Princess said, her eyes dropping to the window to check the light.
"It’s morning. You passed out like 14 times, and you never woke up. I already called her. Let her know you won’t be coming home anytime soon."
Princess’s head snapped toward him. "What? I can’t be away overnight. Who’s going to watch the pups and make breakfast before school?"
"You’re already away overnight, and Faye is watching them. She did nag a little, but then I told her why you weren’t coming home, and she started laughing."
Guru clicked his tongue in disappointment.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk... scared of a graveyard."
He stepped forward, handing Princess the drink.
"I don’t drink in the morning," Princess said, not even looking down at the glass.
"So it’s milk, then? I don’t have milk because a real wolf drinks whiskey."
Princess narrowed her eyes at the man. "Everyone has something they’re afraid of. Even you must have something you’re afraid of."
Guru laughed, a harsh sound rattling in his throat. "I am not afraid of anything. I’m a predator who turns predators into prey. Alphas and Lycans fear me."
"I don’t fear you," Princess said directly to Guru’s face, stepping forward and standing straight in front of the bald man with the beard.
Guru didn’t say anything.
Without a single second of warning, he drank the liquor in one quick go and then smashed the glass straight against Princess’s face.
The loud impact cracked in the air.
"What the actual fuck...?"
Princess stumbled backward, her sneakers scraping the floor as she felt the sharp, stinging pain of broken glass slicing against her forehead. She could already feel hot blood running down her temple and over her cheek.
"See? I smacked an Alpha’s head, and you’re doing nothing."
Princess let out a low, dangerous growl at the man smirking in front of her, her knuckles turning bone white at her sides.
"You really think I won’t do anything, huh? I’m only calm because you’re close to Faye. Killing you would hurt her."
"Yes, you’re not going to do anything," Guru said, taking a step toward her. "If Faye’s people gets hurt, she’ll also hate you. Unless her love for you is stronger than the hatred she’s supposed to feel for Alphas."
He leaned in slightly, his eyes staring right into hers.
"Tell me something. Are you willing to lose your dear life for the woman you love? Or are you willing to lose your life for the woman who bears your pups?"
The question somehow sounded strangely familiar to Princess, ringing faintly in the back of her mind.
"The woman I’m in love with is the same woman who bears my pups."
"Hmm. Answer my question, young lady."
"Of course I’ll sacrifice my life for Faye."
"Which Faye are you talking about? The one you are in love with or the one who bears your pups?"
Princess shook her head, wiping a stray drop of blood near her brow with the back of her hand. "Okay, Mr. Enough with the questions. I already answered it. My life is for Faye and also for my pups."
Guru shook his head, letting out a disappointed sigh as he reached into his pocket and handed her a wad of tissue to wipe the red line from her forehead. Princess hadn’t given him the exact answer he was searching for, but he let it slide for now, allowing her to understand the weight of the question on her own terms later.
After that tense conversation ended, Guru and Princess went to another location together.
As they walked, the shallow cut on Princess’s forehead had slowly started to close up due to her fast healing, leaving only a dark smear of dry blood behind. But Princess hadn’t forgotten what Guru had done to her back there. She was definitely going to get back at him for smashing a solid glass against her face without a valid reason.
They arrived at a secluded spot in the woods. Waiting inside a small cabin was a strange woman who had no scent at all, her presence feeling completely blank to Princess’s wolf senses.
Guru reached into his fur coat and handed her the golden ring he had retrieved from the corpse in the cemetery the previous night.
The woman happened to be a were-witch.
"Okay, our business ends here woman," Guru said the moment he saw his payment slid across the table.
The woman picked up the ring, but then her dark eyes drifted past Guru, looking at Princess and immediately recognizing her features.
"You’re working with an Alpha now?" the woman asked, raising an eyebrow at Guru.
"No. She’s just my girl’s plaything."
Princess’s jaw clenched tightly. She wasn’t comfortable with that word at all.
Plaything.
The word pounded inside her head repeatedly, turning her blood hot.
"Ohhh, your daughter," the witch said, a fake smile spreading across her thin lips. "How is she now? You told me she’s a mom now. So she’s the Alpha who knocked her up?"
"Unfortunately, yes."
Another sharp strike to Princess’s ears, making her breathe heavier.
"She looks beautiful. Your daughter chose the right mate."
Hearing that genuine compliment from the witch finally cooled the Alpha’s rising rage down a fraction.
"Don’t know why she had to be an Alpha, though."
And just like that, the rage returned in full force, burning through Princess’s chest.
"Okay, now that you have the ring, we’d best leave," Guru said with a dry smile, ignoring the heavy tension building behind him. "Come on, Alpha. Let’s go."
Guru completely ignored Princess’s furious face and grabbed her arm, dragging her out of the dark cabin.
When they got out to the clearing and reached Guru’s Jeep, Princess ripped her arm back, unable to hold it in anymore.
"I cannot believe that you don’t like me."
"I never said that."
"You didn’t say that, but your words and actions do! Why would you smash a glass against my face and then call me Faye’s plaything?"
Guru turned around, slamming his hand onto the hood of his Jeep. "Because you are a plaything. You’re not fit to be my girl’s mate. Matter of fact, you’re a doormat."
"Okay, that’s wrong. I don’t let people step on me."
"Really? I hit you on the head, and you don’t fight back."
"That is because you’re Faye’s..."
Before Princess could even finish her sentence, Guru began mocking her words in a high-pitched, childish voice, making stupid faces at her.
"You have to be kidding me," Princess snapped, throwing her hands up. "I thought you liked me. You even shared your fucking cigar with me."
"That was when I thought you had no fears. Someone with fears can’t protect my family."
"Faye is not your family. She’s not even related to you. You only spent 6 years with her. That doesn’t make her your daughter," Princess said directly to his face, stepping right into his personal space.
Guru’s eyes turned stone cold. "Now I see why Paye doesn’t like you. You’re not worthy of our girl."
Before Princess could say another word to defend herself, a sudden roaring sound split the air as bright fireballs came rushing toward them out of nowhere.
The two instantly reacted, diving in opposite directions as the blast of magic struck the side of Guru’s Jeep with a deafening crash, blowing the metal doors apart.
When they scrambled up from the dirt and looked back toward where the fireballs had come from, they saw the were-witch standing outside her cabin, her hands glowing with dark, crackling energy.
"None of you Alphas are leaving my cabin!" she shouted, her voice echoing violently across the clearing.
"I’m going to avenge my son’s death!"
