Chapter 659 Upgrade

"Come on, the audience has left. Let’s head backstage!" The new album launch event concluded smoothly. Shen Yibin and the others entered the backstage area with flowers in hand, showering Sun Qian with congratulations.

"Here, Cheeky. You worked hard today. This is a fig salad I prepared just for you!" Shen Yibin hadn’t forgotten about Cheeky; he’d already prepared a gift for it.

"Bin, you’re finally showing some sense. All the time I’ve spent looking after you hasn’t been for nothing." The parrot’s words were as grating as ever, but thankfully, the food’s allure was stronger. It immediately flew to the salad plate and started eating.

"Hah’Er, this is for you! Sun Qian, you and your team should grab a quick bite. We have to go to the celebration banquet later!" After quickly getting them some food to tide them over, Shen Yibin shielded them from the frenzied fans as they slipped into a car headed for the Yunzhong Grand Hotel.

The guests at the celebration banquet included Sun Qian and her studio members, Shen Yibin and his friends, and many representatives from He Gong Company. The fans’ passion earlier had filled the company representatives with confidence in Sun Qian’s future, and they raised their glasses to celebrate again and again. Fortunately, as a singer who relied on her voice for a living, Sun Qian couldn’t drink much. Otherwise, she would have certainly gotten drunk.

Seeing a few people getting ridiculously rowdy, Shen Yibin didn’t hesitate to call Xiaoliu over to drink with them. In a flash, the monkey drank the whole group under the table.

The next day, Shen Yibin was back at Sun Qian’s studio first thing in the morning to help out. The office phones and the staff’s cell phones rang nonstop from morning till night. Reporters were calling for interviews, ad agencies wanted to discuss endorsements, offline chain record stores wanted to increase their stock, and music companies wanted to plan a concert tour. Everyone wished they had three heads and six arms just to handle it all.

Xu Ye also quickly found Sun Qian and explained his situation. Sun Qian agreed without the slightest hesitation. "I’ve had your company’s orange juice before, and it’s actually quite good. Besides, we’re all Bin’s friends, so let’s sign the contract."

Her agreement was decisive, and the price was very reasonable. A delighted Xu Ye immediately posted photos of the signing on his Weibo account. That same day, a supermarket chain from another province called to place an order. It was clear that with Sun Qian’s help, Xu Ye’s orange business was about to reach a whole new level.

"I’m treating everyone to dinner tonight to celebrate the successful signing. Nobody is allowed to leave!" Xu Ye didn’t mention shooting the promotional ad. ’Sun Qian is definitely swamped these days. I should wait until she has more free time. We’re all friends here; we should be considerate of each other.’

After helping at the studio for three days straight, Shen Yibin finally got a break. He could now return to his estate and resume his carefree life.

"Xiaoliu, come here!" That morning, after finishing breakfast and his workout, Shen Yibin called both Turtle Immortal and Xiaoliu to his side. There were still two days left before the two-month deadline, but Shen Yibin didn’t dare to wait any longer. ’I should leave some extra time, just in case.’ It was finally time to "sell" Turtle Immortal to Xiaoliu. The whole Monkey Wine auction incident had left the monkey a little upset; it was time to make it happy.

"CHEEP CHEEP!" Xiaoliu seemed to sense what was happening. It scurried over excitedly, sat squatting by Shen Yibin’s side, and stared eagerly at Turtle Immortal.

"Are you there? I want to buy this turtle for my monkey." Drawing on his experience from helping Hah’Er buy Maphario, Shen Yibin stated his request directly this time.

"Let me see... Hmm, the affinity level meets the standard. Well now, this monkey’s personal assets are quite substantial. Supporting a turtle won’t be a problem at all. It’s a deal. Scan this QR code to pay." The Future Pet Shop didn’t give Shen Yibin any trouble; after checking Xiaoliu’s status, it presented the QR code for payment.

"Great, I’ll pay right now." Shen Yibin breathed a sigh of relief. He had deposited all the money from the last auction onto a newly opened bank card, treating it as Xiaoliu’s private stash. It seemed his efforts hadn’t been for nothing; he had finally gotten the Future Pet Shop’s approval. ’It’s a good thing Hah’Er’s case set a precedent, otherwise this wouldn’t have been so easy.’

"Xiaoliu, Turtle Immortal is about to be all yours! Are you surprised? Are you excited?" Shen Yibin said, patting Xiaoliu’s head as he delivered the good news.

"CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP! CHEEP CHEEP CHEEP!" Xiaoliu instantly understood. It danced with joy, turning several somersaults before it finally calmed down. Lying on the ground, it hugged Turtle Immortal, rubbing its little monkey face back and forth against the turtle’s shell to express its delight.

Turtle Immortal, however, didn’t seem to appreciate the gesture. Being of a quiet nature, it disliked such commotion and immediately retracted its head and limbs into its shell. The sight made Shen Yibin burst out laughing.

’I’d better hurry and complete the payment before something goes wrong.’ After he finished laughing, Shen Yibin quickly scanned the QR code and transferred 88,818.88 from Xiaoliu’s bank card to the Future Pet Shop’s account.

"Hmm, payment received. Your commission for this transaction is 22,222.22!" The Future Pet Shop immediately transferred Shen Yibin’s commission back. Shen Yibin moved the twenty-thousand-plus into his own bank account. ’This money is mine,’ he thought. ’I can’t mix it up with Xiaoliu’s funds.’

’Let’s see... after selling Carmen to Qi Jian last time, my total accumulated commission reached 190,181.66. I was only 9,818.34 short of the 200,000 total commission needed to level up!’

’Adding this 22,222.22, my account now has a total of 212,403.88, which far exceeds the 200,000 total commission needed for an upgrade.’

’Does this mean I can level up now?’ Shen Yibin thought gleefully.

"Yes, you can. You now meet the requirements to advance from a Level 2 Business Partner to a Level 1 Business Partner. Would you like to upgrade now?" the Future Pet Shop asked.

"Upgrade! Upgrade! Upgrade! Of course I’m upgrading now!" Having been through an upgrade before, Shen Yibin didn’t ask what changes the upgrade would bring this time and immediately agreed.

Just like last time, the Future Pet Shop sent a URL link. After clicking it, a contract filled with densely packed clauses appeared, but Shen Yibin just clicked "Agree" without even looking.

"Congratulations. You have now been upgraded to a Level 1 Business Partner of this store. Your remaining total commission is 12,403.88." ’The upgrade is finally done! Now, let’s see what benefits a Level 1 Business Partner gets.’
