Chapter 207: Supernova Corps

Chapter 207: Supernova Corps

Drawing inspiration from Caelum’s Hyperdimensional Corps, Moment also created a powerful army to wage war across the stars.

Its combat strength could not compare with the Hyperdimensional Corps.

Its numbers, however, were immense.

This army was named Supernova.

The name symbolized that every member possessed energy and explosive power comparable to a star.

Most of the finest soldiers in the Federal Army were selected to join the Supernova Corps.

Moment also conducted several rounds of selection across the entire world through the nanorobot network.

As a result, the corps numbered in the tens of thousands.

Every member wore powerful armor made from material bound by the strong nuclear force.

Combined with a space shuttle weapons system, each soldier possessed overwhelming combat strength.

Conquest was the sole mission of the Supernova Corps.

They would expand the influence of Aquora’s civilization by any means necessary.

Civilizations that could not be conquered would be destroyed.

If they encountered an enemy they could not defeat, they would request support through quantum communication.

Their methods were exceedingly domineering.

At worst, they would simply fight an interstellar war.

Moment had no fear of encountering a civilization too powerful to provoke.

In fact, it would be even more delighted if such a civilization appeared.

A stronger civilization meant more advanced technology.

Moment would use every possible method to extract all of its scientific knowledge.

As long as they captured even one weapon, Aquora’s matter reconstruction devices could analyze it and begin mass production immediately.

Moment only feared that the enemy’s technology would not be advanced enough.

If the Supernova Corps truly could not win, then it would be time for the Hyperdimensional Corps to appear.

A deep hum filled the air.

A powerful magnetic field held Ivy aloft.

She flew toward Brennor’s spaceflight control center and soon encountered an armored corps stationed outside the facility.

The armored corps immediately halted.

The commander felt as though his heart might leap from his throat.

He stared at the figure floating in the air while sweat poured from his palms.

An alien.

He immediately contacted Derek several kilometers away.

"Commander, I have found that thing. What should we do next?"

Derek held a telescope in his hands.

"Attack her."

"What?"

The armored corps commander widened his eyes.

"Commander, under these circumstances, I believe we should first attempt to communicate with the other party."

Derek cut him off.

"Am I the commander, or are you?"

"..."

"What is a soldier’s duty?"

"To obey orders!"

"Good. Then I am ordering you to attack her. She shot down our rocket the moment she arrived, and she just destroyed one of our armed helicopters. Is that not enough proof of hostility?"

In truth, Derek merely wanted to watch the situation descend into chaos.

If Brennor managed to negotiate peacefully with the alien visitor, it would be terrible news for every other faction on the planet.

"Yes, Commander!"

The officer cursed Derek and every generation of his ancestors in his heart.

But an order was an order.

He had no choice but to obey.

"Open fire!"

Boom!

The armored corps immediately attacked Ivy.

Yet the storm of bullets and shells never reached her armor.

Her powerful magnetic field stopped every projectile in midair.

The ammunition hung motionless around her.

Inside Ivy’s livestream, the viewers nearly died laughing.

"Hahaha, they really have courage!"

"I respect that man as a true warrior!"

...

The commander stared at the scene.

How were they supposed to fight this?

He drew a sharp breath and began cursing.

"Derek, you bastard..."

Ivy turned toward them.

Brilliant light suddenly erupted.

Boom!

A massive wave of energy swept outward.

A single photon blast annihilated the entire armored corps.

No wreckage remained.

Even the steel and earth had been vaporized.

Only an enormous crater was left behind.

Derek raised an eyebrow.

Conclusion reached.

This was someone they could not afford to provoke.

Before long, a beam of light shot into the sky.

With a single sweeping attack, Ivy destroyed every satellite and space station above the planet.

The sight was terrifying.

"..."

Derek felt his heart tighten.

He had guessed that the alien visitor might be powerful.

He had never imagined she would be this powerful.

Their planet’s technology had no hope of resisting her.

Even a nuclear weapon would be destroyed before it reached her.

Derek had only wanted to prevent Brennor from negotiating peacefully with the alien and gaining her support.

He had not expected the situation to spiral this far out of control.

If he were the alien visitor and possessed technology capable of crushing an entire planet, why would he bother negotiating?

He would simply conquer it by force.

With that thought, Derek realized this planet was no longer safe.

He turned and ran without hesitation.

At the same time, he pulled an encrypted communicator from his pocket.

"Start preparing immediately. I need to leave right now!"

The voice on the other end sounded confused.

"Leave? Go where?"

"I am going into space with you!"

Derek was not merely one of Brennor’s armored corps commanders.

He also possessed his own hidden faction and network of contacts.

Otherwise, he would never have dared to sabotage Brennor like this.

But once he fled, he would have to abandon the force he had spent years building on this planet.

The person on the other end was not an especially powerful alien visitor.

Even so, he possessed a spacecraft capable of interstellar travel.

Derek had once saved his life.

Now it was time for him to repay that debt.

The communicator responded.

"No problem. Get here as quickly as possible. Even if you had not asked, I was already preparing to leave. I do not understand how your planet became this unlucky."

"What do you mean?"

Derek slammed down the accelerator and sped away.

"Is this alien really that powerful?"

"..."

The other end remained silent for a moment.

Then the voice replied.

"This is no longer a question of whether she is powerful. Her energy readings are outrageous. I strongly suspect she could ram straight through this planet with her body. Her civilization is far more advanced than the one that destroyed my homeworld."

"..."

This time, Derek fell silent.

In any case, he firmly believed that the planet’s misfortune had absolutely nothing to do with his presence on it.

Boom!

A shock wave swept across the land.

The ground shook violently.

"Hey, can you hurry up? I am genuinely getting scared. Maybe I should leave first..."

"Do you think I am driving a rocket? Wait for me!"

Elsewhere, inside the spaceflight control center, the destruction of the observation satellites froze the main screen on the moment Ivy fired a beam into the sky.

Brennor was losing his mind.

"Did I not order everyone to hold their fire? Which bastard ordered the armored corps to attack?"

"Reporting, it was Commander Derek!"

"Where is Derek?"

"We cannot contact him at the moment."

Brennor’s blood pressure surged.

Veins stood out across his forehead as he roared.

"Derek, you bastard!"
