Ethan sighed quietly and was about to continue forward.

"Ethan?"

Lucian’s voice came from ahead.

He had noticed Ethan from the corner of his eye.

A bullet flew past his shoulder.

Lucian quickly twisted away and raised his sword to block another shot. He seemed to be having trouble keeping up.

The blind Gunslinger kept advancing, his revolvers firing one after another.

Lucian blocked a bullet with his sword, but the impact forced him back several steps.

"Damn it."

He glanced toward Ethan.

"Ethan, help me!"

Lucian narrowly avoided another bullet before raising a wall of earth between himself and the blind Gunslinger.

"Let’s join forces and take him down!"

The earth wall shattered almost immediately.

Lucian stepped out from behind it, breathing slightly harder than before.

"We can deal with the rest afterward."

Ethan watched him without saying anything.

The fight had looked completely different before Lucian noticed him. Now Lucian was suddenly struggling, yet that familiar smile was still there.

Ethan didn’t say anything.

All fifty Solar Elementals behind him fired their Solar Rays at Lucian.

"What are you doing?!"

Lucian quickly raised his sword.

Arcane energy surged around the blade, forming a thin layer of magic around it as he used it to block the incoming attack.

The Solar Beam crashed into the sword and the arcane energy began to crack under the pressure.

Even with his magic reinforcing it, the sword was beginning to melt.

Ethan looked at him calmly.

"I don’t need your help."

Lucian stared at him for a moment before smiling again.

"Of course."

He pulled his sword away and stepped back

"I just thought it would be easier for both of us."

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Three bullets tore through the air from different directions.

Lucian barely had time to react before three bullets hit him almost at once. One pierced his chest, another struck his head, and the last passed through his throat. He fell to the ground.

Only Ethan and the Blind Gunslinger remained.

The young man slowly raised his rifle and aimed it toward the area where Ethan was standing.

"Who’s there?"

Ethan frowned.

During the fight with Lucian, he had moved as if he could see everything around him. His senses had been far beyond what a normal person could achieve.

Yet now he was acting like a blind person.

Ethan looked at the black cloth covering his eyes.

"Adrian, you can’t see me?"

"What are you talking about? I can’t see you. I’m blind." His finger tightened around the trigger. "How do you know my name?"

Ethan immediately understood. Shadow Veil.

As long as one Shadow Wraith remained hidden in a shadow, Ethan’s presence could not be detected by perception abilities. His location, aura, and traces were completely concealed.

That was why Adrian couldn’t find him.

In his previous life, Adrian had been the one person Ethan knew who was better at finding things than him.

Despite being blind, Adrian could perceive things that even people with perfect eyesight would miss. Hidden enemies, faint movements, changes in the air, even things buried beneath the ground had rarely escaped him.

And that was because of his talent.

God’s Perspective.

A Legendary-rank talent that gave Adrian a completely different way of seeing the world.

Even without his eyes, he could perceive the world in three dimensions, sensing the position of people and objects around him with incredible accuracy. His perception could pick up movements, changes in the air, hidden enemies, and things that normal people would never notice.

It was what allowed an F-rank Gunslinger to fight like a monster.

His bullets almost never missed. He could track targets from hundreds of kilometers away and fire with frightening accuracy. Hiding from him had always been almost impossible.

There were even parts of God’s Perspective that Ethan had never fully understood.

But Shadow Veil was a Divine-tier ability.

Ethan had never even heard of such an ability in his previous life, so it made sense that Adrian couldn’t perceive him.

In his previous life, Adrian had always been able to find him.

But this time, when they finally met again, Adrian couldn’t even see him.

"How ironic."

Ethan recalled the Shadow Wraiths hiding in the surrounding shadows, which immediately lifted Shadow Veil.

Adrian suddenly raised his rifle and aimed directly at Ethan.

"Who are you?"

"I’m sure you can feel that I have no ill intent."

Adrian didn’t lower his rifle.

"I can tell you don’t have any ill intent, but that doesn’t mean I trust you."

"I’m Ethan." ℴℴ𝘮

"Ethan?" Adrian repeated the name. "How do you know mine?"

"You’re Adrian, the Blind Gunslinger."

"That name isn’t exactly hard to find."

"I know."

Adrian was quiet for a moment. His rifle remained pointed at Ethan.

"But you knew my name before I told you."

Ethan didn’t answer.

"Have we met before?"

"No."

Adrian seemed to think about that for a moment.

"Then how do you know so much about me?"
