"Of course this place again."

Kai floated in the white void with his original body and the same weightless quiet pressing in from every direction, then turned toward the giant digital woman already waiting for him with her blonde hair drifting in soft pixel waves.

"I am glad you brought me here because we need to have a talk."

[Host’s emotional state has become sufficiently unstable to require direct interface.]

"Then good. Stay there and listen." He drifted closer and pointed at her luminous face.

"So tell me, do i still have a choice in this world or no"

[Choice remains available to Host. It is simply no longer free of structural consequence.]

Kai let out a short hard breath and pushed both hands through his red hair.

"Then explain the objective properly this time. Not the short warning version. The real one."

[Acknowledged. Expanding explanation.]

The white space around them dimmed slightly as the System settled into a longer account, and her voice took on that cooler formal cadence she used when the subject was larger than one fight or one bruised relationship.

[This world was never completed as a closed and self-sustaining design. In the oldest recoverable lore layer, existence here moves in repeated cycles. Civilizations rise, stabilize, expand beyond their limits, and collapse. That collapse is not caused only by ordinary war, famine, or political failure. It is driven by imbalance among ten foundational supports known as the Pillars.]

Kai floated still and followed every word.

[The Ten Pillars are not merely powerful individuals. They are living anchor points where fate density, bloodline continuity, accumulated will, and world memory gather. When those pillars remain divided, hostile, isolated, or broken, the world begins to drift. Conflicts lengthen. Abnormal threats emerge earlier than historical pattern predicts. Geography becomes unreliable. Cause and effect loosen. Host has already witnessed land, city placement, and historical sequence shift in ways that original record does not support.]

"And binding them stops that."

[Binding them delays collapse and creates the only identified route toward a future that does not endlessly reset. In the original fate line of this world, failure to unite the pillars leads to terminal drift and eventual total reversion. The board is wiped. The pieces are reconstituted. Most forms of consciousness do not continue through that process in any meaningful way.]

Kai felt the weight of that settle hard behind his ribs.

"So the original fate of this world is death by design."

[More precisely, death by unfinished design. The world is capable of continuity. It was simply never left in a finished state.]

The System paused, and when she continued there was a slightly deeper gravity in the wording.

[Any serious discussion of that unfinished design eventually requires mention of the Origin Dragon.]

Kai’s eyes sharpened. The origin Dragon! He remembered him suddenly from the beginning, he had defeated him before he was transported.

"Yeah? What about him?"

[The Origin Dragon is the earliest named force in recoverable creation memory. It is not adequately described as a beast, nor fully described as a god. It is the first coherent will recorded as imposing structure upon unformed existence. From that will came division, identity, inheritance, and later the pillar framework itself. Some archives refer to the dragon as creator. Others refer to it as the first prisoner of its own ordering principle. Both descriptions remain partially viable.]

He drifted closer without meaning to.

"Why does that matter to me?"

[Because the pillar system did not appear without source. The Ten Pillars are later structural expressions of an older attempt to keep this world from collapsing back into formlessness. Host’s route is entangled with that attempt whether Host desires the entanglement or not.]

Kai gave a short humorless breath.

"Of course it is."

[Present available data suggests that unfinished business linked to that origin layer still exerts pressure on modern events. Anomalies, premature appearances, and distorted survival paths become more common when pillar relations remain unstable. This does not yet authorize detailed disclosure of later-route material. It is sufficient for Host to understand that the present conflict is not isolated.]

That landed like a door cracked open onto a dark hallway. Kai felt the tease of a much larger arc moving somewhere behind the current one and also felt the deliberate wall the System was keeping in place.

"You are saying there is a bigger story under this one."

[Correct. Host is currently operating inside one active segment of a wider unresolved design. Further layers remain locked until Host authority, survival stability, and pillar convergence reach higher thresholds.]

He turned in a slow restless circle and forced the conversation back to the part that still scraped raw.

"You keep saying I have choice while also saying that if I refuse the wrong person the future starts rotting. That does not feel like choice. That feels like being cornered with formal language."

[Host retains the right to refuse any candidate. Host retains the right to reject a bond. Host retains the right to decline marriage, political attachment, or emotional obligation. What Host cannot remove is consequence. In an ordinary life, rejecting someone ends a relationship. On this route, rejecting a true pillar can withdraw support from a world already leaning on incomplete architecture.]

"So my feelings are real, but they are also structural."

[Correct.]

Kai closed his eyes for a second and then opened them with the next question already sharp on his tongue.

"Is there another person like me in this world? Another host. Another outsider dropped in and told to repair the design through survival and connection."

The System’s light lowered slightly.

[Query flagged.]

"Flagged is not an answer."

[The query is flagged because a direct response may damage Host’s present identity stability. Host is currently coherent enough to continue. Premature comparison with other possible hosts risks fracture, displacement, or self-rejection.]

Kai’s hands curled at his sides.

"So there might be."

[Host is advised to remain with the route presently inhabited.]

He almost snapped and then pushed the anger into a narrower question.

"Fine. Of the people already on my roster, how many are true pillars? Not just strong. Not just useful. Actual pillars."

The silence that followed was long enough to matter.

[Three.]

The number hit with clean force.

"Three."

[Correct. Only three of the true Ten Pillars are currently present within Host’s husband roster.]

"Which three?"

[Disclosure declined.]

Kai laughed under his breath with no real humor.

"Naturally."

[Identification at this stage would increase the probability of forced attachment, resentment bonding, or purely strategic intimacy. Host has already shown marked resistance to loss of agency. Concealment preserves the possibility of genuine selection.]

He floated in the white quiet and let the full shape of it press against him. The world was unfinished. The pillars held its cracks closed. Three of those anchors were already tangled into his life and he did not even get to know which ones. Somewhere behind all of that sat the older shadow of the Origin Dragon and a wider arc the System refused to open yet. Every time he reached for a simple private life, the answer returned dressed as responsibility.

"I beat a man who loves me in front of his whole palace because I could not stand being decided for," Kai said quietly.

[Yes.]

"And even that was still happening inside this larger design."

[Yes. The design does not erase the validity of Host’s anger. It only explains why that anger carries elevated cost.]

Kai looked at her for a long time before he spoke again, and this time his voice was steadier.

"I am not going to become someone who only chooses out of fear that the world will end. If I stay on this route, I stay as myself. Not as a hinge that exists only to hold doors open for everyone else."

[That intention remains compatible with long-term route success.]

"Does it?"

[Yes. A host who selects only from obligation eventually collapses under accumulated duty. A host who protects a coherent personal center can sustain heavier structural loads without disintegration.]

Kai gave a short tired smile.

"So my stubbornness is useful."

[Correct.]

"Do not sound pleased."

[The System does not experience pleasure.]

"Liar."

The void began thinning at the edges and the pull of his physical body slowly returned as a dull heaviness in his chest and behind his eyes. The sense of a much larger story remained in the background like pressure behind a sealed gate, present enough to feel and closed enough to deny him any real view.

[Session conclusion approaching.]

Kai faced the giant digital woman one last time.

"Next time you bring me here, bring better news."

[Request recorded without guarantee.]

[Additional note: Host should assume that present emotional conflicts and future high-order threats belong to the same architecture, even when they appear separate.]

That was the last thing she gave him. Not a reveal. Not a map. Just enough formal warning to make the next stretch of road feel watched by something older than kingdoms.

The Interface fell inward.

Kai woke in the palace guest room with the taste of the void still in his mouth and the unfinished weight of the world sitting quietly behind his ribs. Morning light pressed against the curtains. For a few seconds he did not move at all. Then he sat up, pushed both hands through his white hair, and faced the simple fact that the life waiting outside that bed still included pillars, consequences, an origin he did not understand, and choices that no longer came cheap.
