Gathering Wives with a System

Chapter 730: Divine Registry Hall, Share The Warforged System!

  • Next Chapter

Divine Registry Hall.

The Divine Registry Hall was an enormous place filled with countless flames. Each flame represented a God, and although most of them burned steadily, some had already disappeared long ago, marking the end of their existence.

At that moment, one of the flames that had been extinguished for nearly three thousand years suddenly flickered. A moment later, it came alive again, burning brightly as though it had never disappeared.

The God responsible for tending the Divine Registry Hall froze when he saw the flame. He stared at it for several seconds before his expression changed completely, and then he shouted at the top of his voice, "The God of War is back! Call the Seven Stars! The God of War is back!"

The entire Divine Registry Hall was thrown into chaos. Gods and servants rushed through the hall as messages were sent toward distant locations, while everyone who understood what that flame represented realized that something which had been feared for tens of thousands of years had returned.

Far away from the Divine Registry Hall, inside a magnificent palace, seven lights suddenly flew through the air before taking their places around an empty seat. None of the seven figures revealed their true appearance, but their voices carried clearly through the chamber as they began discussing the sudden return.

"The flame is real. The God of War has returned," one of them said, and the others remained silent for several moments as they considered the implications.

"He must be one of the newly ascended Gods. Capture every newly ascended God immediately and investigate them before he has time to recover his strength," another light said, clearly believing that the simplest explanation was the most likely one.

Another light suddenly flared brighter. "Will that even work? The God of War could fight Gods while he was still a mortal, and if he has already regained Godhood, then we’re completely useless against him! Damn it, call every idiot who was supposed to be watching the Sectors and find out how he managed to ascend without anyone noticing."

"We don’t know whether he has recovered his former strength," another voice said. "Even if he has, we don’t have a choice, because we cannot allow him to become stronger. If the chaos from the past returns, none of us will be able to control what happens. Bring out the soldiers and alert every God, because they need to gather their followers and begin collecting Faith immediately. If the God of War truly intends to return to his former position, then we need to prepare for a war," the voice concluded. The other lights remained silent, but none of them disagreed.

...

Isaac POV

Isaac smiled wryly as he looked at his wives. He could understand why they were confused, because although they knew he could copy their abilities, defeating Alice with a single attack was still difficult to believe.

They didn’t know that he could combine their Physiques in ways that allowed their progress to stack together, and he could also stack the effects of different Titles. With all of those abilities combined, it wasn’t particularly surprising that his combat strength had reached such an absurd level.

Isaac looked toward Alice and asked, "What else did you get from the System?"

"There are Quests," Alice replied. "Some of them are Daily Quests, but there are also Special Quests that should appear depending on the situation."

She then looked through the remaining options before clearly using the reward she had received for binding herself to the System. After a moment, Alice’s expression changed slightly as she examined what had appeared.

"I received a new Magic Art," Alice said after checking the information. Isaac nodded as he listened, waiting for her to finish examining the rest of the System.

Alice then mentioned that she intended to enter the wilderness starting tomorrow for her Daily Quests. Isaac thought about it for a moment before deciding that he would accompany her in the only way that made sense without interfering with her training.

"I’ll send a clone with you," Isaac said.

Alice looked at him. "But you won’t fight."

"That’s fine. I have two conditions, though, and I want you to follow both of them," Isaac replied.

"First, you can’t fight a battle that is obviously impossible to win. That wilderness is close to Florathi, so we won’t be able to receive reinforcements from our side if something goes wrong."

He paused before adding, "Second, you need to return every evening, regardless of whether you think you can continue exploring."

"Will that actually be possible?" Alice asked.

"I can teleport you to the entrance of the Florathi Kingdom, and the World Tree can open the passage for you from there directly to the city we are residing him. I know the World Tree is suspicious, but it has clearly shown favoritism toward me, so we might as well take advantage of that and have it open the passage for us every day."

Alice nodded after considering the plan. Celia, however, could only chuckle wryly as she watched Isaac preparing to use the World Tree like a porter.

Isaac stretched and finally stood up. "All right, let’s go to sleep."

Before he could take another step, a telekinetic force suddenly grabbed him. The strength behind it was considerable, and Isaac stiffened before slowly turning around with an uneasy smile.

"Why are you stopping me?" he asked, already having a fairly good idea of the answer.

"Why do you think I’m stopping you?" Celia smiled innocently.

Isaac’s mind immediately started working as he tried to find a way out of the situation. He knew exactly what Celia wanted, but he was already exhausted from the intense ’workout’ they did so many time together yesterday and again earlier that morning.

His body simply couldn’t keep up with her endless enthusiasm. Celia, however, didn’t seem concerned about that problem.

Celia chuckled as she looked at him. "Since you have the appetite to marry so many wives, you should take responsibility for them too, darling."

Isaac immediately looked toward Alice. His eyes clearly asked her to refuse, but Alice simply looked away without saying anything.

Isaac’s expression became stunned.

Celia’s smile widened as she explained, "Tonight is supposed to be my turn, but Alice also wants to stay with you, so I’ve agreed to let her join us."

Isaac understood immediately. Alice’s emotions were still complicated after recovering her memories, and she clearly wanted the comfort of being near him, while Celia was obviously taking advantage of the situation.

Alice understood what Celia was doing as well, but she didn’t seem particularly opposed to it. Isaac was certain that Celia had already discussed everything with Alice through telepathy, because the gremlin was always remarkably quick whenever she wanted to arrange something that benefited her.

Isaac sighed as he looked at the three of them, then at Celia’s smug smile that seemed to be confident she could dominate him in the bed tonight.

He stared at that smile for a few seconds before making a choice. He reached into his spatial pocket and took out an elixir, the same type that allowed his wives to take the benefit of the effects of his Celestial Kitsune Physique. It also doubled as an extremely potent aphrodisiac.

He looked at the elixir for a moment before deciding to take it himself this time. Celia’s expression changed slightly when she realized what he intended to do, and she suddenly looked less confident than before.

"Isaac, wait. I was just joking—"

"Heh."

Clearly, Celia hadn’t expected Isaac to turn the same trick on her. Since she had decided to tease him, she should have known that he would eventually retaliate, and now it was her turn to find out whether she could actually handle him.

Isaac swallowed the pill without hesitation and immediately activated the King of Desire Transformation skill. Since his wives had decided to spend the night with him, he had no intention of letting them regret their decision. Instead he would please them as much as they wanted.

...

When Isaac finally woke up, he yawned and stretched as much as he could without disturbing anyone around him. His body felt refreshed and healthy, and when he remembered what had happened during the night, a small smile appeared on his face. He had enjoyed himself along with everyone.

He tried to sit up, only to realize that Alice was sleeping in his arms. This was the first time she had burrowed into him like this, and when she sensed his movement, she muttered something incomprehensible before shifting closer as though she wanted to hide herself deeper against his chest.

Her tail moved while she was still half asleep, wrapping around Isaac’s wrist before pulling his hand back around her waist. Isaac was surprised by the unconscious action, but after looking at her peaceful expression for a moment, he couldn’t help chuckling quietly.

Alice seemed to have changed quite a bit after regaining her memories. He could also feel Celia and Emily sleeping nearby, and judging from how exhausted everyone was, none of them seemed interested in waking up anytime soon.

Since Alice had unknowingly trapped him in this position, Isaac decided not to move. He didn’t want to disturb her sleep, especially when she had finally allowed herself to relax enough to sleep so peacefully in his arms.

Instead, he remained where he was and began thinking about the things he needed to handle. There were several matters he wanted to investigate, but the first one was related to Alice’s new System.

As far as Isaac knew, the System had always allowed him to share everything his wives had. Alice’s System was obviously different from ordinary abilities, though, so he wasn’t certain whether he could actually gain access to it.

Still, there was only one way to find out.

’System, share Alice’s new System!’
