The intervals between artillery fire grew longer and longer.

Ammunition was being depleted, barrels were overheating, and soldiers were gasping for breath.

And yet, the Kaiju were still surging forward.

They leaped from the sea’s surface, prowled beneath the water, and dove from the sky.

Densely packed, they were endless.

A Category 5 Kaiju broke through the curtain of fire; its body was charred black and it had lost an arm, but it kept charging.

Then came a second, a third, a fourth…

Treading over the corpses of their kin, they charged through that burning stretch of sea and reached the coastline.

The ten Heavy Mechas moved.

Their massive steel frames crashed through the waves, meeting those scarred giant beasts head-on.

Under the powerful driving force of the Reincarnators, the mechas’ cutting weapons whistled through the air, tracing lethal arcs of light.

The first Kaiju’s head flew off, blue blood erupting like a fountain.

But even more Kaiju had already pounced.

One Heavy Mecha was lunged at by three Kaiju simultaneously.

It used its Shoulder Cannon to blast one to pieces, tore open the second with its arms, and simultaneously raised its leg to kick the third one away!

However, there were too many Kaiju.

They came one after another, piling up their bodies to pave a path with death.

One would fall, and ten more would swarm up.

They bit onto the mechas’ joints, pinned down their Torsos, and used their massive bodies to force those steel giants to the ground.

“Boom—!”

A Heavy Mecha’s Shoulder Cannon blasted a gap open, but in the next second, new Kaiju had already filled the void.

Another mecha’s heavy sword severed the spine of a Category 5, but before the blade could be withdrawn, another had already bitten the blade, tearing at it frantically.

Inside the cockpits, the Reincarnators were panting heavily.

Sweat blurred their vision, muscles trembled, and their Spirit was nearly exhausted.

But they did not retreat.

Behind them, the ordinary mechas were taking over their positions, killing any that slipped through the cracks.

Those double-piloted steel giants were humanity’s final line of defense.

Once the Kaiju broke through here, what awaited the hundreds of millions of civilians and the army in the rear would be an absolute massacre.

A Kaiju bypassed the defense line from underwater, lunging toward the tank divisions on the shore.

Before it could get close, an ordinary mecha slammed into it from the side, pinning it firmly to the beach.

The mecha’s pilot roared, using all his strength to suppress it while his other arm pressed a Plasma Cannon against the Kaiju’s head.

“Boom!”

Blue blood splattered all over the mecha.

The battle continued.

All the mecha pilots gave their everything to suppress all those that had slipped through the line at the coast.

Suddenly, all the Reincarnators looked up at the same time, gazing toward the distant Pacific Ocean.

An aura that made their souls tremble drifted from the depths of the ocean.

It wasn’t Lilith’s aura, nor was it the aura of the Kaiju.

It was the aura emitted by a higher-dimensional life form.

Its life intensity far surpassed theirs; they weren’t even in the same dimension.

Sterk’s voice rang out over the communication channel.

That voice was hoarse, low, and laced with despair.

“Deep in the Pacific Ocean… a life energy fluctuation of a Level Nine Monster has appeared.”

Inside the cockpits, there was dead silence.

Category 9.

That wasn’t a Kaiju; that was a god.

This should have been despairing news, but one Reincarnator grinned as he wrenched the head off the Kaiju in front of him.

A raspy voice sounded in the cockpit.

“Commander, this is a war right now.”

“Talking nonsense like that will demoralize the troops.”

Sterk fell silent.

He knew that these people understood what he meant.

He wanted them to retreat, to take the sparks of humanity and leave.

They could do it.

They didn’t belong to this world; they had no obligation to die for it.

But over the comms, there was only laughter.

“Retreat?”

Another Reincarnator drove his mecha to knock aside a Kaiju and spat out a mouthful of bloody phlegm.

“That word isn’t in my dictionary.”

Through the mecha’s sensors, they saw those soldiers who were ready to die.

Those ordinary people—those with no talent, no skills, and no supernatural powers—were standing by their tanks, clutching shells and aiming at those giant beasts.

Once they, the Reincarnators, were gone, those ordinary people would be crushed and slaughtered by these monsters!

As fellow humans, he couldn’t just ignore them.

“We’re dead either way.”

Another Reincarnator threw a punch, blasting a Kaiju’s head into the sea.

At the same time, his hearty laughter rang out in the cockpit.

“Might as well die heroically.”

From the moment they were forced to become players from ordinary humans, death to them was merely a matter of today or tomorrow.

The communication channel was silent for a moment.

Then, Sterk laughed.

The laughter was hoarse, yet it carried an indescribable sense of relief.

“In that case.”

His voice echoed in every mecha’s cockpit.

“We will fight with you until the very last moment.”

Ahead, even more Kaiju were swarming in.

The appearance of the Level Nine Monster seemed to have opened a valve.

The Wormhole was expanding, the Kaiju were accelerating, and the entire Pacific Ocean was boiling.

The Hunter charging on the front lines was clearly being held back by that Category 9 creature.

The alien civilization capable of creating Wormholes and sending Kaiju to this world was fundamentally on a different scale than Blue Star.

Once the opponent got serious, humanity simply couldn’t resist.

But! So what?

Even if they turned to dust, even if they vanished from the world, at least they had tried, at least they had fought!

“Kill——!!!”

Ten Heavy Mechas roared simultaneously, crashing into the Kaiju swarm.

Steel collided with flesh; firelight intertwined with blue blood.

One Kaiju fell, and another took its place.

Mechas were pinned down, then flipped back up.

If the blade broke, they used fists.

If the fists shattered, they used Shoulder Cannons.

If the Shoulder Cannons jammed, they used their heads.

Using every means possible to tear apart every monster before them.

But there were too many Kaiju.

A Category 5 monster that broke through the defense line bypassed the Heavy Mechas, knocked aside an ordinary mecha, and lunged toward the tank divisions on the shore.

It was like a tiger entering a flock of sheep, braving the artillery fire, roaring as it charged rapidly forward!

All the mecha pilots watched this scene, but it was too late.

They were tied down and couldn’t provide any support.

And the Kaiju’s breakthrough meant that humanity was about to face a bloody massacre.

Just as everyone was falling into despair, the ground suddenly began to tremble.

The source of the vibration wasn’t the Kaiju, but the City behind them.

Countless soldiers turned their heads, and then they saw a scene they would never forget for the rest of their lives.

Giant insects swarmed out from the City.

They bypassed the tanks, the armored units, and those mechas fighting hard, lunging at the Kaiju without hesitation.

Pinching, biting, strangling.

One Kaiju was tackled by dozens of giant insects, rolling and screaming.

Another had its tail pinched off, wailing as it retreated.

The exoskeletons of those insects were harder than steel, and their pincers were sharper than blades.

They had no fear, no retreat—only the most primitive killing instinct.

On the coastline, the tide of battle began to turn.

Inside the cockpits, the Reincarnators were stunned.

Then, they laughed.

The other Hunter had finally made a move.

…

On the other side, deep in the Pacific Ocean.

A silver-white figure came to a halt; sensing the changes on the coastline, she split her ferocious, bloody maw into a grin.

“Finally willing to come out, are you?”

A youthful voice echoed across this desolate, killing sea.

Lilith withdrew her gaze, her dragon wings flapping as her eyes met the giant, white, angel-like creature ahead…
