Gene Fusion System: Crime Hunter
Chapter 1421: Ready Anytime? Turning Yourself In (Part 2)
The two began examining the corpse.
“The deceased is male, around 35 years old.”
“From the current situation, he seems to have been struck from behind on the head and then repeatedly stabbed in the back with a knife, leading to death.”
Listening to their analysis.
Luo Fei nodded in agreement.
“Your analysis is correct. And if my judgment is not wrong, this person is likely one of the members of the group that kidnapped the girl in this room.”
Luo Fei had already reviewed the relevant materials of the homeowner earlier.
He also understood.
When the girl first started streaming, her audience was small.
Only a few hundred people.
However, later on, in just over a month, she gained over ten thousand fans.
Luo Fei was also very aware.
“This is most likely the result of the entertainment company’s operations. It is precisely because there is a streaming company working behind the scenes that her fan base could grow rapidly in such a short time. Isn’t that right?”
Luo Fei’s analysis.
Surprised everyone.
“Hearing it like this, it seems to be true.”
“Yes, so I suspect that the people who kidnapped the girl might be backed by a malicious company. They might think their company is really powerful. Hence, they bully the girl recklessly because they might have controlled her for months, and she was unable to contact the outside world, always isolated and helpless. This led to their arrogance and even carelessness.”
“Back then, the culprit might have disguised as a delivery man to enter the room, knocking down the criminal and taking the girl away at the same time.”
Luo Fei’s analysis earned him immense admiration from everyone.
“Mr. Luo, it’s surprising how logical and well-founded your analysis is. It really makes one look at you in a new light.”
Seeing everyone looking at him with admiration.
Luo Fei waved his hand.
“Everyone, I’m just making my own guess.”
“After all, if it weren’t for a fanatic fan, they wouldn’t easily risk their lives by specifically going to the female streamer’s house knowing she was in danger.”
Upon hearing the news.
Su Jianfan didn’t let his guard down.
Since he had investigated similar cases before.
Su Jianfan was well aware.
In usual situations like this.
Most people face dire consequences.
Overly fanatical fans might even do such things for their idols.
Who knows if he might harm the idol when she gets too frightened, or shows panic and unease?
“But now fortunately we have temporarily narrowed the scope of our investigation. Just look at the top names on the female streamer’s donation list and see who she often interacts with, and maybe we’ll find a solution to the problem.”
“This can be considered a blessing in disguise.”
Upon hearing Su Jianfan’s analysis.
The hostess looked worried.
“Officer, do you think the suspect might still be lurking nearby? If they specifically come looking for trouble, aren’t we in danger too?”
“That shouldn’t be the case. Their target is their idol, other ordinary people shouldn’t be inexplicably entangled.”
This news made the hostess slightly relieved.
“Mr. Luo, with your assurance, I’m more or less at ease. Otherwise, I’m really worried. If I were mistakenly seen as their target, I’d be in big trouble.”
The hostess spoke, increasingly embarrassed.
Seeing her flustered and looking around nervously.
Luo Fei remained noncommittal.
“Miss, you need not be so concerned about this.”
I estimate this person merely felt their idol was endangered. So they acted on such behavior. It’s unlikely out of malice, maybe just trying to help the idol, albeit in an inappropriate manner.”
Though Luo Fei said this.
He understood in his heart.
Many people exhibit obsessive personalities.
They might resort to any means to achieve their goals.
Thus, who knows where this fanatic fan might take the female streamer?
“Mr. Luo, I obtained the latest surveillance recordings nearby. And saw a delivery guy taking a young girl onto a motorcycle. Judging by her silhouette, it’s the streamer we’ve been searching for.”
Su Jianfan said, handing the footage over to Luo Fei.
After reviewing the content.
Luo Fei nodded.
“Su Jianfan, you’ve done exceptionally well.”
“The results of this investigation are indeed very helpful to us.”
Luo Fei spoke with great satisfaction.
However, Su Jianfan still had his concerns.
“Mr. Luo, I’ll soon pull up the surveillance footage for close examination. I believe it won’t take long to determine this vehicle’s owner information.”
Ring ring ring!
At that moment.
Luo Fei’s phone suddenly rang.
Initially, Luo Fei felt surprised.
But he answered it.
An anxious voice echoed from the other end.
“Officer, is this the police?”
Detecting the nervousness in the voice.
Luo Fei remained noncommittal.
“Who am I speaking with?”
“Officer, I want to surrender. Earlier, I committed murder!”
The anxious tone combined with the nervousness.
Gave Luo Fei pause.
“Sir, are you serious?”
“Officer, I wouldn’t joke about such a matter. I swear on heaven. It’s true.”
The caller then detailed the entire crime process.
This revealed to Luo Fei, surprisingly, that this person was the very target they were searching for.
The individual who took the streamer Cheng Ke’Er.
Upon hearing the confession.
Luo Fei was puzzled.
“Sir, why are you confessing now after some days?”
“Previously, why didn’t you promptly acknowledge your mistake?”
Luo Fei seemed genuinely confused.
The puzzled tone revealed his confusion.
The person hurriedly explained.
“Officer, I’ll be frank with you.”
“I initially saved Cheng Ke’Er. I genuinely liked her, even prepared to marry her. But never imagined she wouldn’t accept me.”
Apparently.
When this man found Cheng Ke’Er.
His audacious move stunned her.
Despite knowing he killed someone.
Cheng Ke’Er chose to escape with him to flee a nightmare.
To not face further harm.
Unexpectedly for Cheng Ke’Er.
This man turned out scarier than imagined.
In these few days.
Constantly pressuring Cheng Ke’Er to be with him, even hoping she’d understand his intent.
But unforeseen for him.
Cheng Ke’Er truly didn’t like him.
In desperation, she chose to commit suicide earlier today.
Which explains why the man decided to surrender today.
“Officer, it’s all my fault. If not for me, Cheng Ke’Er wouldn’t be dead. All is because of me. Hence, I must take responsibility for my actions. I must acknowledge my crime.”
The man’s words were filled with sadness.
A deep sense of regret emerged.
Luo Fei advised.
“Sir, self-reflection is commendable. I also suggest you surrender to the major crimes unit. Our police will endeavor to be lenient.”
Luo Fei’s words were met with repeated agreements.
“I understand, officer, thank you for the reminder. I will choose to surrender.”
As the call ended.
Su Jianfan beside remained skeptical.
“Mr. Luo, are you certain we can trust him? I think this man seems a bit deranged. Appears mentally unstable?”
Su Jianfan expressed.
With skepticism.
Luo Fei seriously replied.
“Trust me, sometimes, madmen can be more reliable than most ordinary people.”
