Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day
Chapter 880: The Great Thief (Part 2)
Upon seeing this, he was shocked.
In the Sixth Dimension, he saw the emergence of various Divine Realms.
These Divine Realms were connected according to different mythological systems.
For example, the Daoism mythological system had all its divine realms closely linked.
The same was true for the Buddhist mythological system.
There were also the mythologies of Christianity, Islam, Norse, and so on.
Every mythological system was present.
Even systems from novels, films, and other fantasies were all there!
This aspect was somewhat similar to the Fantasy Space of the Third Dimension.
The difference is, in the Third Dimension, you could only see clusters of Fantasy Worlds.
In contrast, the Sixth Dimension seemed to have “materialized” those fantasies.
But this wasn’t the most shocking part for Lu Li.
What surprised him the most was that these “materialized” fantasies were actually absorbing vast amounts of energy from the Fifth Dimension based on the amount of faith they received, channeling it into the bodies of those “materialized” sacred figures.
“What… what is going on here?”
Lu Li was a little dazed.
Isn’t the real world devoid of the extraordinary sacred?
How is it that the Sixth Dimension is full of truly sacred beings?
At first, he didn’t notice the clue.
After observing for a while, Lu Li discovered that these sacred figures or other fantasy characters, although they were all flesh and blood and seemed quite human, they couldn’t escape their “settings.”
For example, when observing the “Dragon Ball” world, even though it had been materialized, the “plot” was repeatedly “playing.”
Lu Li vaguely understood, “These characters from Fantasy Worlds, though materialized, still exist within the ‘settings’ of fantasy, unable to truly become beings with ‘self-thoughts.’
If one had to describe it, these materialized sacred figures and fantasy characters were more like the Porunga Divine Dragon model he had created while making Dragon Ball.
This intrigued Lu Li: “If these characters are ‘models,’ can I bring them to the real world? If I could, what would happen upon bringing them back?”
He pondered for a short while, not daring to choose too powerful a character, fearing a bad result that he couldn’t control.
After all, some fantasy characters were too strong, strong enough to destroy billions of universes with a single thought, which was beyond his current capability to manage.
Lu Li also didn’t choose characters with “conceptual” abilities.
For example, Conan, wherever this guy went, there was bound to be a murder case.
Who knows if bringing him back to the real world would also enable such a capability?
Lu Li targeted his choice from the “Dragon Ball” world, Yamcha’s pet… friend, Puer.
Why choose this character?
Firstly, it possessed certain magical abilities, such as transformation.
Secondly, the Transforming Technique used by Puer only changes its shape and doesn’t directly enhance its combat power; even if it disobeyed, it wouldn’t cause damage to the real world.
Lastly, and most importantly, Puer is a creature that looks like a blue cat, always floating softly, making it quite suitable as a pet.
If he could control it, Puer would certainly make a highly suitable choice as a pet.
Of course, this was just an experiment by Lu Li.
If he could bring Puer back to the real world, with the exact same abilities as in the “Dragon Ball” world, and it could be controlled correctly, then he could take more characters or treasures from this materialized Fantasy World.
Lu Li could directly copy the structure of an item from a Fantasy World, then condense it through his own energy. However, doing so led to some degradation in the item, like the previously mentioned Infinity Gauntlet and The Map of Rivers and Mountains.
He wanted to find out if items extracted from this materialized Fantasy World possessed their original power.
To this end, Lu Li planned to “steal” Puer along with the first edition of the Dragon Ball, and then summon the Divine Dragon to make a wish.
If his hypothesis was indeed verified, then he would set out to “steal” even more truly formidable treasures from this materialized Fantasy World.
Examples like the Chaos Bell from the Primordial World, or perhaps the Heaven-Opening Axe.
Decision made, Lu Li locked onto Puer and the first edition of Dragon Ball with his energy.
He knew if he moved too slowly, he’d be noticed by the Surveillance Force, which would have interrupted him.
So, to successfully “steal” Puer and the first edition of the Dragon Ball, he needed to act swiftly.
Lu Li quickly wrapped Puer and the first edition Dragon Ball in his energy, then abruptly pulled.
What surprised him was that when he started to pull, Puer and the first edition of Dragon Ball both exhibited “resistance.”
Puer’s resistance was relatively small, possibly due to its weakness.
Regarding the resistance of the first edition Dragon Ball, although it was significantly larger, it was, after all, an item created by the Celestial God of the Dragon Ball world, and it didn’t possess much “energy” inherently, hence this level of resistance wasn’t a problem for Lu Li.
He easily subdued the resistance from Puer and the first edition Dragon Ball, then directly pulled them into his dimension.
Even though he moved quickly enough, the Surveillance Force still noticed immediately and shattered his energy.
Lu Li: “…”
This Surveillance Force was annoying, always ruining his plans.
In retrospect, it’s understandable, if there were no Surveillance Force to protect, and a character or item from the Fantasy World was brought into the real world, it would likely create a terrifying event, similar to Vegeta from “Dragon Ball” initially coming to Earth, as this guy was one of Frieza’s top hitmen and might really blow up Earth.
That period’s Vegeta was still manageable.
But if someone like Demon Buu came into the real world?
Therefore, the Surveillance Force was essentially preserving the balance of various dimensions.
Understanding is one thing.
Interfering with his plans is another.
Lu Li certainly wouldn’t give up that easily.
After resting for a period to recover to his peak condition, he started his second attempt.
This time, Lu Li wrapped Puer and the first edition Dragon Ball with energy again, but instead of acting forcefully as before, he gradually maneuvered them towards the barrier’s edge.
Suddenly, he exerted force again, aiming to pull Puer and the Dragon Ball swiftly into the real world.
The Surveillance Force came once more.
Just as Lu Li sensed the Surveillance Force was close to touching, he quickly withdrew his energy, leaving Puer and the Dragon Ball still in the “Dragon Ball” world.
As expected, the Surveillance Force ceased further action.
Lu Li’s lips curved into a slight smile.
He knew that the Surveillance Force was far stronger than him, so brute force wouldn’t work; only ingenuity would.
And this ingenious method relied on betting that the Surveillance Force had moments of “oversight.”
Why gamble on this?
Even the most precise machine has moments of malfunction.
Lu Li didn’t believe the Surveillance Force would never make any slip-up.
Hence, he started repeatedly maneuvering against the Surveillance Force.
Once, failure.
Eight times, still a failure.
Three hundred sixty-seven times, still a failure.
Lu Li remained patient, working continuously from noon until the evening when Liu Kexin returned, still trying to outmaneuver the Surveillance Force.
Finally, on the five hundred and first maneuver, when Lu Li was pulling Puer and the first edition Dragon Ball towards his dimension, the Surveillance Force seemed to “hesitate” for a moment.
“This is it!”
Lu Li’s eyes slightly widened, then summoned all his energy to pull with all his might.
At this moment, the Surveillance Force finally reacted, trying to prevent it.
Unexpectedly, Lu Li had already pulled Puer and the first edition Dragon Ball to the Fifth Dimension.
Amazing events unfolded; the Sixth Dimension’s Surveillance Force only chased up to the dimensional barrier side, then stopped.
However, the Fifth Dimension’s Surveillance Force suddenly attacked.
At this moment, Lu Li, putting in his all, did not give the Fifth Dimension’s Surveillance Force time to control his energy.
In an instant, wrapping Puer and Dragon Ball in his energy, he arrived at the Fourth Dimension.
The same scenario repeated, as the Fourth Dimension’s Surveillance Force hurried over.
Unfortunately, Lu Li was too quick.
Third Dimension…
The real world!
At this point, Lu Li was on high alert.
He wanted to know if the reality he was in had any Surveillance Force.
If it did, whether his bringing Puer and the first edition Dragon Ball here would encounter “correction” or “destruction” from the real world’s Surveillance Force.
This was extremely important.
If the real world also had a Surveillance Force, then everything from the materialized Fantasy World couldn’t be brought over, or it would bring him much trouble.
But if the real world didn’t have it, then sorry, I am about to become a “great thief!”
