Chapter 2210: Horseshoe
"You are weak." Sylas remarked coldly.
A clawed gauntlet held onto Mosun's head, the latter's eyes slowly losing what life they had left in them. The power of Death seeped into him, and Sylas realized now that he had more mental real estate to understand why Death was so effective against this man and their race as a whole.
They were practically a race of undead. The life aura they were giving off was what was stolen from the worlds they sucked dry themselves, ironically making it a lot easier to suppress them.
Their life wasn't tied directly to their Will, so they were even less resistant to death than most.
If the World Spirit had had the opportunity to attack on its own, it could have wiped them out on its own.
But very few people probably even knew of this weakness of the Efivara, and even if they did, Sylas had never run into anyone who used Death Runes, nor had he ever heard of any Races that did. The closest thing were a few Serpentes Races he had information on, but he had not once actively thought of them, so the information was likewise never deposited in his mind.
It could be said that if your one weakness was very rare, it was hardly considered a weakness at all. After all, who didn't have at least one chink in their armor? Considering the matters of Nosphaleen, and the existence of his family itself, even Sylas wasn't an exception to this.
However, Sylas would overcome this weakness. This man, though…

Sylas' gaze flickered. He didn't expect for there to be that many rewards. This had felt… easy.
But when you spoke about the scope of things, he guessed that this couldn't really be considered a regular, run of the mill Quicktime Event. It required fighting an S-tier, and wiping out an entire Race of people—well, at least the number located on this planet.
And Sylas had done it alone.
The fact that the world had helped him was actually up to his own genius to make use of. Without his level of Rune Mastery, benefitting as much as he had from the world's help would have been impossible.
Unless he was already an S-tier, surviving that punch alone was a feat of all feats. But to Sylas… it was just another Wednesday.
Did the universe work on the same seven day calendar system as Earth did?
No.
But Sylas liked to keep track anyway.
Sylas was about to check his rewards when he felt a shift.
Earth rumbled, and then so too did this planet.
'Something is shifting.'
An attractive force was forming between the two planets as though they might slam into one another any moment now.
Sylas' eyes narrowed. His gaze shifted over.
Normally, even if he was Sylas, he should be on the verge of panicking right now. Even if he didn't die to the clash of two planets—something that certainly wasn't guaranteed—a lot of people he did care about would.
This wasn't exactly the outcome he wanted. But…
It just might be the outcome his sister wanted.
He might not have stepped beyond that threshold he felt he could just barely see over the horizon. However, he had sensed it, and he had a good feel for it.
Unfortunately, at the start of the battle, he was too focused on his own rage, and at the end, he had to focus on the battle. Otherwise, one mistake, one slip up, and he would lose his life to the S-tier. His body was too fragile.
As such, he didn't have the luxury of thinking at any point. Even his current Rune Armor spontaneously formed on its own, the Runes of the world around him reacting to his telekinetic martial arts and naturally shifting to accommodate his combat style.
Still, he knew and had a pretty good idea, that on the other side, at the end of the road of endless death… Was life.
A horseshoe. A concept as old as time and had existed in some way, shape, or form whether it was modern day Earth, olden Earth, or maybe any other world for that matter.
The attractive force between their two worlds was because they were both at the opposite ends of those spectrums.
Earth was a budding world, one blooming into its potential, it was reaching a new peak in its life, just about to step onto the Demi-God Plane.
By comparison, this world, one of a name that Sylas still didn't even know, was at the end of its own. It had just given what it had left to defeat its enemies, and now it stood at the end of its time, and it had embraced that.
Even on Earth Sylas could not fight an S-tier—at least not an S-tier of the Demi-God Plane. Maybe back on the Mortal Plane he could have, but the Mortal Plane didn't even have S-tiers to begin with—or at the very least, they were extraordinarily rare.
While they were likewise rare on the Demi-God Plane, they were at least more prominent in the public lexicon.
The only reason Sylas could do this here was because the nameless world had given everything it had. Earth would still have to consider the future, but this world wasn't considering a future at all… They couldn't have been more polar opposites.
But maybe what was most important of all…
Sylas was the Progenitor of Earth and the acting Progenitor of this world.
Both worlds loved him implicitly, and if this nameless world had had the energy to do so, it would have granted Sylas Progenitor status right here and now.
That open, bleeding heart melded the two worlds together.
These worlds weren't about to crash into one another.
They were about to evolve together into a whole other stratosphere.
Chi.
Earth vanished and so too did the world.
BOOM.
A chaotic rain of energy rushed into the skies, swallowing the star system whole.
