Genetic Evolution: Mythic Tier from the Rock Monkey Gene
Chapter 116 - 113: Method to Quickly Cultivate to Tier 3
Chapter 116: Chapter 113: Method to Quickly Cultivate to Tier 3
Less than five minutes later, he brought out the Tide Listening Rod and returned it to Ji Zhixing.
Ji Zhixing took it and inspected it. Sure enough, the sword marks on the rod had completely vanished. Its surface was as smooth as new, gleaming even more brilliantly than before.
"Thank you, sir," Ji Zhixing said, his face lighting up with joy. He tucked away the Tide Listening Rod, turned, and left the small shop.
After walking out, he was in no rush to leave Nanshan Avenue. Instead, he continued strolling down the street. He still had some useless items he had obtained in the Blood Beast Secret Realm, and this was the perfect opportunity to get rid of them. Finding a store that bought and sold Genetic Equipment and potions, he walked inside.
"Sir, could you take a look and see how much these are worth?" He took the Wolf Blade Vambraces out of his gene furnace and placed them on the counter. At the same time, he took out two pieces of Tier One Genetic Equipment. He had refined these in the Blood Beast Secret Realm, but their quality was average, and he had no use for them. Then, he took out some Blood Attribute Gene Development Potions, which were equally useless to him. As for the Blood Beast Armor, he kept it for himself.
"These vambraces are Tier Two, Two-Star. Five hundred thousand. These two Tier One items are fifty thousand and sixty thousand, respectively. The Blood Attribute Gene Development Potions are twenty-five thousand a bottle, and you have eight here, making it two hundred thousand."
The store owner calculated the total. "That comes to eight hundred and ten thousand in total. Is that acceptable?"
"That works." Ji Zhixing was a little surprised. The price fell perfectly within his acceptable range; he had initially expected to haggle.
The store owner transferred the money to him and stored the items away.
Ji Zhixing walked out of the store and glanced at his account balance. Combined with the gene coins left over from purchasing the Stone Bone, Stone Tendon, and Stone Muscle gene development potions, he now had over 1.1 million gene coins on hand.
"Not bad," he murmured, putting his phone away. He hailed a taxi by the roadside and gave the driver the address for Tingyu Garden.
Meanwhile, back in the store where he had just sold the Genetic Equipment, the owner shook his head. "Blood Attribute Genetic Equipment and Blood Attribute Gene Development Potions... He’s definitely a freshman from this year’s batch at Yu City University.
"Still, having this much loot on hand... I wonder if he’s from the elite class or the genius class."
After getting in the taxi, Ji Zhixing headed directly back to Tingyu Garden.
Entering the residential complex, he quickened his pace, went upstairs, and arrived at his front door. He pulled out his keys and unlocked it.
"Zhixing!"
As soon as the door opened, a figure pounced on him. It was Ji Zhiyu.
"Zhixing, you’re finally back! I missed you so much!"
Ji Zhixing smiled and looked toward the kitchen, where he immediately saw his mother and father bustling about. Since he was coming home today, he naturally hadn’t kept it a secret from his family.
Zhang Yulan poked her head out of the kitchen. Seeing him, a warm smile spread across her face. "You’re back? Go wash your hands; dinner is almost ready."
"Okay," Ji Zhixing replied.
He went into the bathroom, answering Ji Zhiyu’s barrage of questions as he washed his hands.
After dinner, Ji Zhixing didn’t stay long. He left some money for his parents, waved goodbye to his sister, and headed out.
"Zhixing is in such a rush. He didn’t even stay the night," Ji Zhiyu grumbled reluctantly after he left.
"Your brother is a Genetic Cultivator now. He’ll be dealing with gene beasts a lot in the future. Being busy now will help him improve his strength faster," Zhang Yulan said, shaking her head. "Once he reaches the limit of his own genes, he won’t be as busy anymore."
A short while later, Ji Zhixing walked out of the complex, bought some fruit, liquor, and cigarettes at a convenience store by the entrance, and headed toward Yu City Third Middle School.
Arriving at Yu City Third Middle School, he felt a wave of nostalgia wash over him as he looked at the familiar school gates. The last time he came back, his Three-inch Stone Monkey gene had not yet evolved, his Willow Tree gene had not yet fused, and he was still just a Tier One Gene Cultivator.
Now, he was a bona fide Tier Two Genetic Cultivator. Even his Staff Soldier Stone Monkey gene was on the verge of evolving to Tier Three.
He thought, "Come to think of it, my strength is improving quite rapidly." Shaking his head, he strode toward the gates.
The security guard recognized him and didn’t stop him. Instead, he greeted him with a smile. "Ji Zhixing? I heard you got into Yu City University! That’s impressive!"
"Thank you, sir. I came back to visit my teachers," Ji Zhixing said with a nod, stepping inside.
He crossed the sports field, entered the faculty building, and found Sun Dajun’s office on the second floor.
The door was open, and Sun Dajun was sitting at his desk, reading something. Hearing the knock, he looked up. Upon seeing Ji Zhixing, a bright smile immediately broke out on his face.
"Ji Zhixing? What brings you here? Come on in!"
"Teacher Sun," Ji Zhixing said as he walked in, placing the liquor and cigarettes on the desk. "I came to visit you and return the Tide Listening Rod while I was at it."
He pulled the Tide Listening Rod from his gene furnace and handed it over with both hands. "Thank you so much for these past few days, teacher. It was a huge help."
Sun Dajun took the Tide Listening Rod and set it aside. "I’m just glad I could help." He looked at Ji Zhixing, looking him up and down. "How are things at Yu City University, kid? Are you adjusting well?"
"Everything is going well," Ji Zhixing smiled.
The two chatted in the office for about ten minutes before Ji Zhixing stood up to say goodbye. Sun Dajun walked him to the door and patted him on the shoulder.
"Come back and visit whenever you have the time."
"I will."
Ji Zhixing left Sun Dajun’s office, went downstairs, and headed toward He Yanbing’s office.
Teacher He’s office was on the third floor of the academic building. He walked up the stairs, but just as he raised his hand to knock on the door, he suddenly heard voices coming from inside.
"Teacher He, Director Wu is here today. You have to join us for dinner later, no matter what," a man’s voice rang out.
Ji Zhixing frowned slightly. He recognized the voice; it belonged to Principal Zhou Chenghong.
"Principal Zhou, I’m not feeling well today. I won’t be going," He Yanbing’s voice replied.
"Not feeling well? A couple of glasses of wine will fix that right up," another unfamiliar male voice chimed in with a chuckle.
Ji Zhixing’s frown deepened. He figured that the unfamiliar man must be the Director Wu that Zhou Chenghong had mentioned.
"Exactly, Teacher He. It’s rare for Director Wu to visit, so you have to give him face on this one," Zhou Chenghong said, his voice dropping a bit.
Outside the door, Ji Zhixing took a deep breath and raised his hand to knock.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.
"Come in," He Yanbing’s voice immediately called out.
Ji Zhixing pushed the door open and walked in.
Inside the office, three people were standing by the desk. Besides He Yanbing and Zhou Chenghong, there was a middle-aged man in his forties.
"Ji Zhixing? Why are you here?" Zhou Chenghong paused in surprise when he saw Ji Zhixing, his expression flickering.
He already knew that Ji Zhixing’s genes had evolved and that he had gotten into Yu City University. When he first heard the news, he had been utterly astonished, never expecting Ji Zhixing to actually be capable of evolving his genes. However, he didn’t care too much about it. An ordinary Yu City University student couldn’t affect him in any way. After all, he was a Tier Two Genetic Cultivator himself, which was how he had secured his position as the principal of Yu City Third Middle School.
"I came to visit Teacher He," Ji Zhixing said calmly.
"Ji Zhixing?" the middle-aged man echoed. Hearing Zhou Chenghong call out the name, he froze for a moment before a wide smile spread across his face, and he stepped forward.
"Hello, hello! I work at the District Education Bureau. My son also goes to Yu City University. His name is Wu Yuan. He’s in the same class as you—Class Twenty-One.
"Yesterday, when my son came out of the Blood Beast Secret Realm, he wouldn’t stop talking about you. He said you took first place on the points leaderboard in the secret realm and completely suppressed all the students from the genius class!
"Since you’re in the same school and the same class, I hope Ji Xiaoyou can look out for him in the future."
Ji Zhixing did not reach out his hand. He simply shot him an indifferent glance and shook his head.
"Sorry, but my genes evolved. I’ve transferred to the elite class now, so I’m no longer in the same class as your son.
"Furthermore, I have business with Teacher He and prefer not to be disturbed. Could you two please leave?"
