Chapter 133: Chapter 125: Flight Ability, The Rankings Are Out

While Ji Zhixing and Xu Cheng cultivated like madmen in the closed Cultivation Chamber, Yu City University’s forum was in an absolute uproar. The video of Ji Zhixing defeating Du Zhan spread at a staggering speed.

"His strength is absolutely terrifying, isn’t it? Xu Cheng and Du Zhan—one using Magic, the other physical attacks—were both taken down by him."

"From today on, Ji Zhixing is the undisputed number one in the elite class."

"I used to think his first place on the points leaderboard was just a stroke of luck. Now I see I was just too narrow-minded."

New posts and replies flooded the forum one after another. It wasn’t just the students in the elite and regular classes discussing it; even the students in the genius class had taken notice of the video. Previously, they had barely given the elite class a second thought, and Ji Zhixing had been no exception. However, after watching his combat video, they all began to view him with a bit more gravity. Though they didn’t believe Ji Zhixing could actually defeat them, he was no longer the ordinary student they could afford to completely ignore.

In another villa.

Gu Zheng sat on the sofa, his phone screen also playing the video of Ji Zhixing and Du Zhan’s fight.

"Ji Zhixing..." he muttered, his fingers unconsciously tightening their grip around his phone.

Compared to anyone else, he understood Ji Zhixing the best. A few months ago, in the Otherworldly Secret Realm, Ji Zhixing had possessed absolutely no ability to resist him, forced to flee for his life in a pathetic state by diving into the water. Later, in the Blood Beast Secret Realm, Ji Zhixing had teamed up with Xiao Mingyue to launch a sneak attack. They had only managed to drive him out of the secret realm by taking advantage of his massive source power consumption while he was engaged in a fierce battle with a peak Tier Two Blood Beast. Back then, despite his fury, he still hadn’t thought Ji Zhixing was particularly strong. The boy had merely kicked him while he was down.

But now... In the video, Ji Zhixing took countless hammer strikes from Du Zhan head-on. Du Zhan had even unleashed his Mad Bull Transformation, yet he couldn’t even make Ji Zhixing break a sweat.

"How many days has it even been?" Gu Zheng took a deep breath, suppressing the irritation rising in his chest.

He still didn’t consider Ji Zhixing’s current strength to be a threat. He was confident that if they actually fought, he would still win—he would still crush him. However, the speed of Ji Zhixing’s progress was startling. It was too fast, so fast that it instilled a deep sense of unease within him.

Gu Zheng thought, "I can’t let him keep growing like this." He stood up, walked to the window, and looked out at the Yu City University campus with a dark gaze. Yet, he knew there was absolutely nothing he could do to Ji Zhixing right now. The guy practically never left the school, and he couldn’t exactly make a move on campus. Yu City University’s rules weren’t just for show. Even students in the genius class wouldn’t dare attack a fellow student within the school grounds.

Inside the closed Cultivation Chamber.

"I’m done... We’ll go again... tomorrow." Xu Cheng collapsed onto the floor, supporting himself with his hands as he gasped heavily for air.

His face was deathly pale, veins bulging on his forehead, and sweat poured down like rain. The lightning around his hands had completely dissipated, unable to gather even the faintest spark.

This was already the fifth time tonight that he had drained the genetic source power in his body. Every time he ran dry, he would refine a bottle of Tier Two source power genetic potion provided by Ji Zhixing, and upon recovering, he would resume his lightning strikes. But while genetic source power could be replenished with potions, Spiritual Power could not. Repeatedly casting the Purple Thunder-Attracting Technique and endlessly refining source power genetic potions had truly squeezed his Spiritual Power dry. Right now, his head felt incredibly heavy, and his eyelids were struggling to stay open. All he wanted was to find a place to get a good night’s sleep.

"Are you really done?" Ji Zhixing asked, his tone laced with a hint of unfulfilled desire. "I still have more source power genetic potions here. You could try recovering one more time."

"Scram!" Xu Cheng cursed, using the wall to push himself up before turning to leave.

No one exploited people like this. Furthermore, he had never seen a freak quite like Ji Zhixing. The guy had actually just stood there, letting himself be constantly attacked until Xu Cheng collapsed from sheer exhaustion, yet he looked as if nothing had happened at all.

"We’ll continue tomorrow, don’t forget!" Ji Zhixing called out from behind.

Xu Cheng paused his steps, waving a hand without looking back, then pulled open the door to the Cultivation Chamber and walked out.

As the door clicked shut, the Cultivation Chamber fell silent.

"What a pity," Ji Zhixing said, shaking his head and stretching his body.

He still felt a bit numb all over, but his advanced self-healing ability was rapidly repairing the microscopic damage. Enduring relentless lightning attacks like that was actually quite uncomfortable for him as well. The intertwined sensations of numbness, pain, and heat spread from his skin straight to the depths of his marrow. However, he could still hold on. It was just a pity that Xu Cheng couldn’t.

"We’ll continue tomorrow," he muttered to himself. He walked out of the Cultivation Chamber, swiped his student ID card to settle his points, and then strode toward his villa.

Over the next few days, Ji Zhixing fully immersed himself in his cultivation. He no longer paid any attention to the clamor of the outside world. The discussions on the forum, the gossip among his classmates, the opinions of the genius class students—none of it mattered to him. His life fell into an extremely rigid routine.

Every morning, he stayed in his villa to refine Earth Spirit Liquid and elevate his cultivation base. Ever since the Ten-foot Stone Monkey gene evolved, his cultivation efficiency had clearly increased by a significant margin. The fundamental enhancement of his genes allowed him to absorb and convert source power much more effectively. The effects of Earth Spirit Liquid were inherently far superior to ordinary source power genetic potions. Paired with the bonus from his genetic evolution, his cultivation base was growing at more than double its previous speed. At this rate, he estimated that he would only need a month, or perhaps even less time, to raise his cultivation base to the peak of Tier Two.
