Chapter 139: Chapter 129: Seven-Colored Flower Sea, Illusory Sea Flowing Fragrance Honey

"What’s going on?"

"There’s so much Dead Wood Regeneration Dew!"

The surrounding students were instantly dumbfounded as they witnessed the phenomenon caused by Ji Zhixing.

One drop, two drops, three drops...

In just a few breaths, a couple dozen drops of Dead Wood Regeneration Dew fell from the sky.

"With that much Dead Wood Regeneration Dew, we can’t let him have it all to himself!"

Seeing this, the already envious students could no longer hold back. A single drop of Dead Wood Regeneration Dew was worth a hundred thousand points. Now, as Ji Zhixing simply stood there motionless, the dew rained down on his head. Who wouldn’t be red-eyed with jealousy?

"Charge!"

With the exception of Yu City University, the students from Feng City University and Yun City University immediately swarmed forward.

SWISH SWISH SWISH!

Right at that moment, Flame Spirit Birds tore through the air, blocking the crowd’s path and directly diving at them.

"Who is it?"

The people intending to snatch the Dead Wood Regeneration Dew were instantly filled with shock and anger. They either dodged to the side or launched attacks to defend themselves.

As they were intercepted, Ji Zhixing watched the drops of Dead Wood Regeneration Dew falling. Without a shred of hesitation, he extended his hands, treating his arms like a staff, and spun them in front of himself.

"Vortex!"

Although he held no staff, he had practiced this move countless times until it became second nature. Even without a weapon, he could still execute the essence of this technique. His rotating hands stirred the surrounding air to form a cyclone. Like being guided by invisible hands, the drops of Dead Wood Regeneration Dew tumbling from the sky were swept right in front of him.

Ji Zhixing swiftly took out a jade bottle and gathered all the Dead Wood Regeneration Dew. After finishing, he let out a long sigh and looked around. The thick mist that had gathered around him began to slowly dissipate after condensing the dew, no longer converging toward him.

"What a pity," he thought, feeling a hint of regret. If the mist had lasted just a little longer, he could have collected even more Dead Wood Regeneration Dew.

"Forget it, I shouldn’t be too greedy," he thought, shaking his head.

His gains from entering the Spirit Ruins Treasure Land this time were already substantial enough. He would be staying here for a whole month. It was hard to say what else he would find over that time, but on this very first day, virtually no one could rival his haul.

He glanced at the people who had just tried to rush him, then walked over to stand beside Xiao Mingyue. She looked at him with an inquiring expression.

Ji Zhixing gave a slight nod.

Xiao Mingyue’s face instantly lit up with joy, realizing that Ji Zhixing must have successfully developed his Super Self-Healing ability. As for the resentful glares directed at her by the students from the other two universities she had thwarted, she paid them no mind whatsoever. They wanted to steal her boyfriend’s things; if she didn’t stop them, was she supposed to just let them rob him?

"Enough!" the female teacher from Feng City University finally spoke up. Her voice was not loud, yet it echoed clearly in everyone’s ears.

"The opportunity in the Dead Wood Regeneration Forest is gone. What are you all still doing here? The Spirit Ruins Treasure Land is filled with countless opportunities. The time has come for you to truly show your skills," she said, her expression looking a bit ugly. For her students to try to snatch someone else’s opportunity in front of so many people—and fail at it, no less—was an absolute disgrace to her.

"Let’s go!" Upon hearing this, the people from Feng City University didn’t dare to linger. They immediately departed, splitting up into different directions.

Seeing this, the Yun City University group quickly left as well.

"This guy..."

Witnessing this scene, many from Yu City University took a long, hard look at Ji Zhixing before turning away. They all had a deep impression of him. They initially thought that, unlike the Freshman Mystic Realm Trial, Ji Zhixing wouldn’t be able to crush everyone else this time around in the Spirit Ruins Treasure Land. Never did they expect him to cause such a massive commotion on the very first day.

This was especially true for Gu Zheng and Cao Zhenxing.

Gu Zheng held a grudge against Ji Zhixing and feared his continued growth. Meanwhile, Cao Zhenxing recalled how Ji Zhixing had surpassed him last time as a Regular Class student, causing his face to turn grim. After sparing Ji Zhixing one last glance, neither of them said a word and simply turned to leave.

"Ji Zhixing," Xu Cheng called out, walking over with a burning gaze after the others had left.

"What is it? Why haven’t you left yet?" Ji Zhixing looked at Xu Cheng with a ruthless expression. "I have no more use for you here."

Xu Cheng’s mouth twitched. "Let’s discuss this. You gathered so much Dead Wood Regeneration Dew, couldn’t you give me a little bonus? Even if I didn’t make a huge contribution, I still put in the hard work, right?" He held his hands in front of his chest and waved them like a beckoning lucky cat, pleading without a trace of his former aloofness. "I just want one more drop. Just one drop is enough."

"Seeing how pathetic you look..." Ji Zhixing dropped the joke, taking out a jade bottle and tossing it to Xu Cheng. Since he had utilized Xu Cheng to develop his Super Self-Healing ability, he didn’t mind sparing a little extra reward. After all, without Xu Cheng, developing this ability would have certainly cost him far more resources than it just did.

"You’re a true friend." Xu Cheng caught the jade bottle, swiftly put it away, and then looked at Ji Zhixing and Xiao Mingyue. "Alright, I won’t bother you two any longer. Good luck on what comes next." He immediately turned and bolted away at top speed, as if terrified that Ji Zhixing might change his mind.

Watching him act like this, Ji Zhixing couldn’t help but shake his head. It was as if he had been ruthlessly exploiting the guy.

"How did it go?" Xiao Mingyue asked Ji Zhixing once Xu Cheng had vanished from sight. "How many drops of Dead Wood Regeneration Dew did you manage to get?"

"Excluding the ones given to Xu Cheng, I still have thirty-six drops," Ji Zhixing replied.

"I have three drops here," Xiao Mingyue said, taking out her own jade bottle and handing it to him. "The Dead Wood Regeneration Dew doesn’t do much for us. We previously traded five million points with the university for the Size Alteration Gene Development Potion, but I suspect that probably won’t be enough. The Size Alteration ability isn’t that easy to develop."

"Are you saying we should hand this Dead Wood Regeneration Dew over to the university in exchange for more of the Size Alteration Gene Development Potion?" Ji Zhixing’s interest was piqued.

"Yes," Xiao Mingyue nodded.

"Then let’s go find Teacher Bai and give it a try." Ji Zhixing didn’t hesitate to agree with her suggestion. Together, they went to find Bai Yuan.

"You want to turn in all of your Dead Wood Regeneration Dew to exchange for the Size Alteration Gene Development Potion?" Bai Yuan was slightly taken aback by their request.

"Yes," Ji Zhixing confirmed. "The university doesn’t currently stock the Size Alteration Gene Development Potion, but we’ve already discussed this matter with Teacher Yang Man Ni. We want to submit the Dead Wood Regeneration Dew this time to exchange for a bit more of the potion."

"Alright, leave this to me," Bai Yuan nodded, accepting Ji Zhixing’s Dead Wood Regeneration Dew.

"I just hope this will be enough to get an adequate amount of the Size Alteration Gene Development Potion," Ji Zhixing said, taking a deep breath.

"You have to give to get. Let’s go," Xiao Mingyue smiled at him.

"Okay," Ji Zhixing nodded.

The two of them then picked a direction and headed off into the distance.

Over ten minutes later.

The scenery before them shifted as they finally left the now-vibrant Dead Wood Regeneration Forest.

"What is this place?" Ji Zhixing frowned, looking at Xiao Mingyue.

Appearing before them this time was a pitch-black swamp. The water within it was entirely black, with a greasy sheen floating on its surface. Occasional bubbles rose from below, emitting bubbling noises accompanied by a pungent, foul stench.

Xiao Mingyue was already covering her nose, her brows tightly knitted. "I don’t know, but I don’t want to go in there," she said, looking at Ji Zhixing.

"Don’t worry, I definitely won’t make you go in," Ji Zhixing shook his head, pulling Xiao Mingyue along as they began to head in another direction. He knew that the swamp before them was likely another special treasure land that might be nurturing some kind of treasure. However, he really didn’t want to wade through it.

Black water, foul odors, unknown dangers...

If they went in, they would probably have to bathe eight times once they came out.

The two of them continued along the edge of the Dead Wood Regeneration Forest. After walking for about seven or eight minutes, the scenery ahead finally changed again. The black swamp disappeared, replaced by a gentle stretch of grassland. The meadow was vast, stretching as far as the eye could see. The pale, yellow-green grass wasn’t tall, just barely reaching their ankles, and the air was filled with the fresh scent of greenery.

"Finally, something normal," Xiao Mingyue said, lowering her hand from her nose and taking a deep breath.

"Come on, let’s head deeper and take a look." Ji Zhixing pulled Xiao Mingyue along as they stepped across the grass.

"Huh?"

Suddenly, after walking for over ten minutes, Ji Zhixing narrowed his eyes as a group of a dozen or so figures appeared ahead of them. The people were gathered together, seemingly discussing something. But what truly caught Ji Zhixing’s attention was the sea of flowers situated right in front of them.

It was a breathtakingly magnificent sea of blossoms. Flowers of every color intertwined—red, yellow, purple, white... Illuminated by the phantom sun hanging in the sky above the Spirit Ruins Treasure Land, the petals seemed to be gilded with a layer of gold, making for a sight so beautiful that one simply couldn’t look away.

In the very center of the Seven-Colored Flower Sea, there was a small hill about ten meters high. However, it wasn’t standing upright; rather, it was suspended upside down in the air. Its wide base faced upwards, while its pointed peak aimed down. It just hovered there in mid-air, as if held aloft by an invisible hand. The entire inverted hill floating above the sea of flowers looked incredibly fantastical, like a scene pulled straight out of a fairy tale.

"Let’s go over and take a look!" Ji Zhixing said, staring at the inverted hill with curiosity.

"Alright," Xiao Mingyue nodded, following Ji Zhixing as they headed straight toward the group.

Seeing the two approach, the dozen people turned their gazes toward them. The group consisted of individuals from Yu City University, as well as students from Feng City University and Yun City University. Among those from Yu City University, there were three people—two men and one woman. Ji Zhixing and Xiao Mingyue had a vague impression of them, knowing they were fellow students from the Elite Class. The couple walked over and nodded at the trio in greeting. The three nodded back without saying much.

Ji Zhixing and Xiao Mingyue stood at the edge of the crowd, earnestly studying the sea of flowers before them.

"What kind of treasure land is this?" Ji Zhixing wondered.

The treasure spots within the Spirit Ruins Treasure Land were not static. Many locations would vanish after a period of time, only for new ones to be born. Places like the Dead Wood Regeneration Forest, which existed every single time the realm opened, were incredibly rare. Because of this, the university hadn’t provided them with much information regarding the Spirit Ruins Treasure Land prior to their arrival. Looking at the sea of flowers and the inverted hill, he had absolutely no idea what kind of opportunity lay hidden inside.

"That’s a lot of bees."

Upon closer inspection of the flower sea, Ji Zhixing suddenly realized that countless bees were hovering above it. These bees were several sizes larger than normal ones, each the size of a thumb, and their bodies were a vibrant array of seven colors.

"Those are Seven-Color Spirit Bees," Xiao Mingyue whispered to him.

"Seven-Color Spirit Bees?" Ji Zhixing looked at her.

"Mhm," Xiao Mingyue nodded, her gaze fixed on the colorful bees. "Seven-Color Spirit Bees can produce Illusory Sea Flowing Fragrance Honey. It’s a natural treasure that’s highly beneficial for advancing cultivation. If you can acquire some Illusory Sea Flowing Fragrance Honey and pair it with Earth Spirit Liquid, your cultivation progress will be even more effective."

She paused, shifting her eyes to the inverted hill at the center of the field. "If I’m not mistaken, the honey produced by these Seven-Color Spirit Bees should be right in the middle of this flower sea, up on that upside-down hill."

Hearing this, Ji Zhixing’s heart skipped a beat, and his gaze toward the flower sea grew fervent.

Illusory Sea Flowing Fragrance Honey?

A natural treasure capable of advancing one’s cultivation?

His current cultivation base was still a distance away from the peak of Tier 2. Even with the Earth Spirit Liquid, reaching the peak of Tier 2 would probably take him close to a month. Now that a cultivation-boosting natural treasure was right in front of him, there was no way he could let this slip by.
