Chapter 446: Chapter 446: The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles Appears

"Doing good?"

"For Liyue and Inazuma?"

"Are you serious?"

Not only Arlecchino was puzzled. Even Navia was confused.

Although the Genius could still be considered friendly toward Fontaine, Liyue and Inazuma...

No matter how they looked at it, weren’t those two nations the ones he’d caused trouble for?

"What are you looking at me like that for?"

"It sounds as though I haven’t done anything good."

Su Ran noticed the strange looks on Arlecchino and Navia’s faces.

"The Raiden Shogun lost her elder sister and her closest friend. I was the one who brought them back to life."

"Morax wanted to retire, and I was the one who made his abdication happen smoothly."

"They should be thanking me!"

Even to this day, the people of Liyue still had no idea what had happened to the Geo Archon.

But Zhongli had indeed retired in such a natural manner.

And now that Ningguang had taken over, Liyue no longer needed its former Geo Archon anyway.

"..."

But weren’t all of those things simply fulfilling the wishes of the gods?

How did that have anything to do with ordinary people?

"Besides... Liyue, Inazuma, and Snezhnaya are now able to establish trade relations with the outside world precisely because of my connections."

"How am I not benefiting them?"

That was difficult to refute.

The arrival of extraterrestrial merchants on the continent of Teyvat was already common knowledge.

"With such a conspicuous display, aren’t you afraid that the Heavenly Principles will make a move against you?"

The Heavenly Principles were still watching from Celestia.

"Hahaha. At this point, you still think the Heavenly Principles pose a threat to me?"

"Fufu, what do you think?"

Did Arlecchino really have no sense of perspective?

How many armies could the Heavenly Principles possibly have?

His swarm could blot out the sky and even cover the light of the sun.

How much power did the Heavenly Principles actually possess?

"Me?"

"I’m not afraid of the Heavenly Principles."

Now that she had someone powerful backing her, who could possibly threaten her?

Besides Furina and herself, Su Ran currently possessed three more complete Hydro Authorities.

Each one could create a powerhouse comparable to a complete Hydro Dragon King.

Their physical bodies might not be as powerful as the true elemental dragon, but their control over elemental power was no different.

And if Su Ran completed the remaining ninety-five copies...

That would mean a hundred beings on the level of an elemental dragon.

How could the Heavenly Principles possibly fight that?

"They say all doubts come from the unknown."

"I know why you’re worried. Don’t worry."

"Even if the Heavenly Principles personally came knocking, they’d still have to politely address me as Lord Su Ran!"

His arrogance certainly made that difficult to believe.

But Arlecchino believed him to some extent.

Because she felt there really was a possibility that he could do exactly that.

Even now, she still found the Genius incredibly mysterious.

"If you don’t believe me, I’ll prove it to you!"

The three of them immediately became curious.

How was he going to prove it?

In Sumeru, Dottore’s consciousness had completely merged with the Shouki no Kami.

He was currently engaged in a prolonged battle against Nahida and Greater Lord Rukkhadevata.

After Greater Lord Rukkhadevata joined the battle, the disparity in raw strength had become negligible, making it difficult for either side to gain the upper hand.

The struggle between their consciousnesses was even more intense.

As a scholar, Dottore naturally possessed his own stubbornness.

Having already decided to abandon this segment of himself, he was fighting with everything he had.

The physical body trapped inside the Shouki no Kami had long since been drained of all vitality, leaving behind nothing more than skin and bones.

At this point, his consciousness had completely merged with the Shouki no Kami.

Therefore, even when facing two gods—or even Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, the incarnation of the World Tree—he remained completely fearless.

He was prepared to perish together with them if necessary.

"Only by casting aside reason can we have a true battle of wills!"

"Greater Lord Rukkhadevata! Lesser Lord Kusanali!"

"Do you dare to abandon everything, just as I have?"

The prolonged battle had left Nahida utterly exhausted.

Greater Lord Rukkhadevata was in better condition, but not by much.

Fighting a madman was truly troublesome.

Meanwhile, Lumine had been circling around the battlefield, constantly creating opportunities for the Dendro Archons.

She too was mentally and physically exhausted.

She didn’t even know how long she’d been fighting anymore.

Had it been several days and nights without rest?

Yet, seeing the two gods still locked in combat, she could only grit her teeth and continue.

With the two sides so evenly matched, the outsiders like her became extremely important.

If she could create an opportunity for a single decisive strike, they might actually be able to defeat the Doctor.

This was far more difficult for her than her previous battle with the Raiden Shogun.

At least back then, Tartaglia and Zhongli had been there to provide support.

Both of them possessed genuine god-level combat strength.

But now?

Neither Nahida nor Greater Lord Rukkhadevata excelled in direct combat.

Naturally, Lumine had no chance of confronting Dottore head-on.

After all, she hadn’t defeated the Raiden Shogun through brute force either.

She had relied on conviction and the voices of resistance to shatter the dream.

And, to be honest, if Su Ran hadn’t intervened, she would have died in Inazuma long ago.

When the dream collapsed, Raiden Ei had truly been terrifying.

Even her words had been vicious.

But at that very moment, Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, Nahida, and Dottore all sensed an unfamiliar power approaching.

All three lost focus for an instant.

That gave Lumine, whose attention had been fixed entirely on Dottore, the opening she needed.

She rapidly climbed onto the body of the Shouki no Kami.

Swinging her sword, she shattered the cockpit.

Her blade pierced Dottore’s...

Remains.

Looking at the body that was practically nothing more than a skeleton, Lumine was utterly shocked.

He had already died?

"My power was completely transferred into the machine long ago."

"My consciousness was as well."

"Even if you destroy the entire cockpit, I will not fall."

Dottore’s voice rang out.

"But even so, we won’t give up!"

"Our determination to defeat you will never disappear!"

Lumine still refused to surrender.

"Heh heh."

Dottore’s laughter was filled with mockery.

"But the battle is already over."

A teleportation portal appeared.

A white-haired, golden-eyed goddess flew out from within.

The god of Celestia had noticed everything that was happening in Sumeru.

With nothing more than a wave of her hand, the Shouki no Kami was instantly dismembered.

Just before the giant machine collapsed, Lumine leapt out of the cockpit.

She also finally saw the god who had intervened.

Her pupils contracted.

That was a face she could never forget.

The Sustainer merely gave her a cold glance before losing interest.

"Incarnation of the World Tree, continue to fulfill your duty."

After warning Greater Lord Rukkhadevata, the Sustainer flew back toward the portal.

"Wait!"

Even though she now knew where her brother was, Lumine still had something she needed to ask this god!

But the portal closed.

The Sustainer ignored her cries and departed without looking back.
