Fire Qilin glanced at Sword Spirit, then reluctantly shook his head and slowly began to speak: "It’s obviously not a big deal, yet you insist on blowing things out of proportion. Who’s to blame for that?"

"However, I must say two things to you: although you like Wang Zhan, you need to restrain your emotions to avoid affecting your cultivation."

"After achieving our level of strength, mental state becomes the most crucial step. If our mental state isn’t up to par, our abilities will stagnate. So, although you’re strong now and can move freely on the Star War Battlefield, there are always higher levels to reach. I think you understand this better than I do, right?"

The Hexagonal Golden Snake standing nearby nodded in agreement. What Fire Qilin said made sense, aligning with what he had been contemplating recently.

Sword Spirit, standing to one side, continued: "No need for you all to worry about these matters. I’m merely concerned about Wang Zhan, without romantic intentions. I understand the gap between Wang Zhan and me; he’ll naturally become extraordinary, while our gap is as insurmountable as a chasm. How could I possibly be a match for him?"

Though blessed with Glaze Crystal Body and Divine Heart, his strength remains relatively limited in the short term, which Sword Spirit has been pondering.

He indeed has feelings for Wang Zhan but dares not act on them, knowing that they’re from different worlds. Simply staying by Wang Zhan’s side is enough for him.

After Sword Spirit left, Fire Qilin shook his head and chuckled, a faint smile at the corner of his lips, saying: "Who’d have thought he’s still stubborn as ever? Others can’t see his feelings for Wang Zhan, but spending every day with the two, how could I not know what he’s thinking?"

"Just from his gaze towards Wang Zhan and the actions after Wang Zhan left the Sky Pavilion, I can confirm there’s no issue with my statement. But since he doesn’t want to admit it, I won’t say more."

Hexagonal Golden Snake shook his head but refrained from commenting further, as whether Wang Zhan and Sword Spirit end up together doesn’t concern him much. His priority is improving his own strength; other matters aren’t significant.

Seeing Hexagonal Golden Snake prepared to continue resting, Fire Qilin chose not to waste time and disturb him, instead heading out of the room.

Meanwhile, Wang Zhan and Luo Xue had swiftly departed the area where the Sky Pavilion was located and were speeding toward the fifth war zone.

Fortunately, their speed was quite fast, without much delay along the way. At their pace, they should reach the fifth war zone in three days at most.

During this time, Wang Zhan and Luo Xue continued to hurry along.

But as they neared the fifth war zone, Luo Xue hesitated, even slowing down significantly, which Wang Zhan noticed. Wang Zhan suddenly stopped, gazing at Luo Xue, then slowly asked, "What’s wrong? I sense your emotions are turbulent. Did something come to mind?"

Luo Xue did not hide from Wang Zhan, he clenched his fists and bit his lip before quietly saying: "It’s been so long since I’ve returned to the fifth war zone. I don’t know how my friends are doing now or the level of their strength. But I’m confident I have surpassed them. Yet if they want me to stay and protect them in the fifth war zone, what should I do?"

Before returning, Luo Xue was indeed excited, although he felt saddened by Xiang Tian’s situation. But since it had already happened and couldn’t be avoided, he chose not to dwell on it and gradually forgot Xiang Tian’s matters.

He even wanted to demonstrate his skills to those he grew up with, showing them the gap between their abilities.

But halfway through, he suddenly remembered that there were no real experts in the fifth war zone, and the legendary gods were merely nominal. Even together they couldn’t repel low-level demonic beasts. If Wang Zhan hadn’t turned the tide back then, the fifth war zone would have ceased to exist now.

Thinking of this, Luo Xue couldn’t help but worry, as this was his birthplace. If the people really asked him to stay, he wouldn’t know how to respond.

Wang Zhan reassured him with a pat on the shoulder and a gentle smile before slowly saying: "Just keep your concerns in check. I believe the people in the fifth war zone wouldn’t force you, nor overrule your intentions. You probably know better who they really are, always considering others and thinking about them."

"Perhaps because of spending so much time with them, my mindset has changed significantly, affecting how I perceive those around me now, but this is a good thing. At least, everyone in the Sky Pavilion is united by my side, without any intention of leaving."

Luo Xue nodded, feeling relieved and chose not to say more.

Soon after, Wang Zhan and Luo Xue entered the fifth war zone, but they were shocked to find that although there had been many defense lines when they left, now they had all disappeared, leaving no sign of any presence.

This immediately gave them a sense of foreboding.

Could it be that something major has happened in the fifth war zone?

Thinking of this, Luo Xue’s heart tightened as he bit his teeth, hastening his steps further, desperate to reach the core area of the fifth war zone to check whether his friends were still there.

Wang Zhan, too, sped up without hesitation, but he soon found his expression changing grimly as he realized the fifth war zone had become ruins already. Though traces of demonic beasts lingered, the presence of humans had vanished.

This proved that something unexpected must have happened, which either caused them to leave abruptly or...

Wang Zhan dared not ponder further, unwilling to face such a scenario.

In a flash, Wang Zhan and Luo Xue reached the core area. Wang Zhan was familiar with it, as this was where he had met Xiang Tian and Luo Xue and connected deeply with the fifth war zone’s community, eventually being seen as a war god.

Unbelievably, the area now lay in ruins, with collapsed buildings overgrown with weeds, clearly abandoned for years.

Wang Zhan frowned slightly and said gravely: "Could it be that after we left, the fifth war zone experienced significant upheavals causing it to become like this?"

Luo Xue shook his head beside him, remaining silent, eager to understand what had transpired here, if indeed something had happened.

After hesitating briefly, Wang Zhan continued: "Actually, I sensed something was amiss when I first entered this area. I’ve noticed no signs of human activity here, wanting to check the core area for clues—maybe find their whereabouts. But now it seems I’ve overestimated..."

There’s not only a lack of clues, but it’s also become so dilapidated. Finding any trace seems impossible.

Beside him, Luo Xue sat down heavily, eyes moistening. His family and friends were all in the fifth war zone. He thought he’d meet them this time, only to find it’s a changed world, with no sign of his former friends and relatives. Clearly, something drastic happened to cause this transformation...

Wang Zhan approached Luo Xue, gently patting his shoulder before softly speaking: "Alright, I sense some demonic beasts around. To clarify the fifth war zone’s situation, we might rely on their information. I’ll go inquire now; you stay here but avoid any rash actions."

Luo Xue nodded, saying no more.

He knew his strength’s limit; there’s a gap with Wang Zhan, who’s undeterred while he’d better stay back—not becoming a burden is helping Wang Zhan.

Instantly, Wang Zhan headed towards a group of demonic beasts.

Quickly, Wang Zhan arrived at where they gathered, and coldly scanned them before saying: "Which of you can talk?"
