Chapter 851: Chapter 564: The Slumbering "Ancestral Dragon" and Alliance Matters

This place... was actually a defense line formed by World Destruction Level Giant Dragons!

"The Ancestral Dragon is slumbering and will not see any guests." Finally, the Thunder Dragon’s voice boomed like thunder, exploding directly in their Sea of Spiritual. "Leave this place, outsiders. This is not where you belong."

Austin Sage remained neither haughty nor humble as his Spiritual Power fluctuated once more.

"We did not come to disturb its rest, but to seek an alliance.

"Our world is also fighting against that false ’Sun.’ We share a common enemy."

At these words, the vigilance in the Thunder Dragon’s eyes visibly deepened, and the Thunderbolts swirling around its body became somewhat more violent.

"An alliance?" Its Spiritual Power acted like sharp needles, carefully scanning every inch of Raylo and Austin’s auras. "The Light Deity?"

A subtle change appeared in the World Destruction Level Thunder Dragon’s spiritual fluctuations. Its eyes, containing endless Thunderbolts, scrutinized the two again, as if trying to discern the truth of their words. A moment later, the will of the Thunderbolts that seemed ready to tear the void apart slowly retracted.

"You do not possess that nauseating aura of Light," the Thunder Dragon said, gesturing slightly with its massive head. "Follow me. Whether or not an alliance can be formed is not up to me to decide. I will take you to see the Dragon Lord."

Saying this, it turned its massive body and flew toward the depths of the Meteorite cluster.

Austin Sage shot Raylo a reassuring look before following it. Raylo suppressed the stormy waves of shock in his heart and followed closely behind.

While traveling through the massive Meteorites, Raylo could clearly feel terrifying auras—some curious, some scrutinizing, and some indifferent—casting their gazes from the depths of those Meteorites before slowly fading away.

This place was a true dragon’s den.

He did a rough count; just on this journey alone, he sensed no less than a dozen World Destruction Level auras! Over a dozen... World Destruction Level Giant Dragons! This number left Raylo’s mouth dry.

Soon, the Thunder Dragon led them to the very center of the Meteorite belt. Floating here was a massive Meteorite comparable to a giant island. At the center of this Continent-like expanse, a Giant Dragon was coiled up, seemingly fast asleep.

Its sheer size made Raylo instantly hold his breath.

It was a Golden Dragon.

Its body stretched for nearly thirty thousand meters. Every single golden scale looked as if it were forged from Divine Gold, reflecting the soft glow of the white Sun not too far away. Even while coiled in slumber, the aura it exuded was as deep and unfathomable as an abyss.

The moment Raylo and Austin approached, the colossal Golden Dragon seemed to sense something and slowly... opened its eyes.

BOOM!

A coercive pressure that surpassed the Thunder Dragon, and even surpassed all of Raylo’s imagination regarding the word "Power," suddenly descended!

If the Thunder Dragon’s pressure was a storm, then this Golden Dragon’s pressure was the weight of the entire universe!

World Destruction Level Peak!

The massive, mountain-like dragon head slowly lifted. Those golden eyes, more radiant than Stars, stared indifferently at the two figures who were as small as dust. An ancient, majestic, and grandiose voice, sounding as though it had traversed through eons, echoed across the void.

"Outsiders...

"Who gave you the courage to dare approach the Ancestral Dragon’s residence?"

Raylo felt his very soul trembling under this pressure. His Catastrophe Level Power felt so insignificant in this void, like a speck of dust that could be crushed at any moment.

This Golden Dragon, addressed as a Dragon Lord, was more than just one level stronger than the World Destruction Level Thunder Dragon from earlier!

However, standing in front of him, Austin Sage’s plain gray Mage Robe didn’t even show a single wrinkle. His wrinkled face remained calm, as if what brushed past him wasn’t a terrifying storm, but an ordinary breeze.

"Giant Dragon, put away your arrogance," Austin Sage said as he slowly raised his head. In this moment, billions of Stars seemed to twinkle in his cloudy eyes.

He made no earth-shattering movements; he merely extended a single finger and gently tapped the void ahead.

HUM!

There was no violent aura, no destructive energy. Centered on his fingertip, a profound starry sky—one that seemed to encompass the mysteries of the entire universe—silently unfolded.

Countless runes condensed from Magic flickered and circulated within the starry sky. This Starry Domain displayed no aggressiveness, yet it irrefutably neutralized the Golden Dragon’s World Destruction Level might—a force capable of crushing Stars—reducing it to nothingness.

The two vastly different immense Powers clashed in the void, yet bizarrely, no energy erupted.

BOOM!

The terrifying heavy pressure that had been suppressing Raylo instantly vanished into thin air. He gasped heavily and looked at the not-so-tall back figure in front of him, monstrous waves of shock tumbling in his heart.

He thought, "Is this the true strength of the legendary first Sage among Mage City’s three Great Sages?"

He naturally knew of Austin Sage’s formidable strength, but he never imagined it would reach such heights! This Power was not the slightest bit inferior to the World Destruction Level Peak Golden Dragon before them!

"Hm?"

For the first time, a clear emotional fluctuation appeared in the Golden Dragon’s eyes that were brighter than Stars.

It was surprise.

Its slowly raised head paused slightly, and the pressure that could crush the void slowly receded like the tide. Evidently, it had acknowledged Austin Sage’s Power.

"Human..." The Golden Dragon’s voice echoed once more. This time, although it remained majestic, it carried a bit more solemnity and acknowledgment. "You are very strong. You are qualified to stand before me."

Austin Sage’s expression remained unchanged as he withdrew his Power. The profound starry sky slowly faded away, as if it had never appeared. He spoke calmly, his voice turning into spiritual fluctuations that entered the other party’s Sea of Spiritual.

"Dragon Lord, we have come for an alliance.

"Our world is currently fighting against your common enemy."

Austin Sage straightforwardly pointed at the golden ’Sun’ radiating an invasive brilliance in the distance. "We call him the Light Deity. I believe you are not unfamiliar with this name."

The Golden Dragon fell silent. Its enormous dragon body remained coiled on the Meteorite. Its golden eyes swept back and forth between Austin Sage and Raylo, seemingly evaluating something.

A moment later, it finally spoke slowly. "Giant Dragons never ally with the weak. Is your world qualified?"

"Whether we are qualified or not isn’t proven with mere words," Austin Sage replied in an indifferent tone that contained dominance and confidence. "Our world may not be as ancient as the Giant Dragon Realm, nor do we have your exceptionally advantageous environment. But our civilization has endured for tens of thousands of years, and it did not survive through prayers and groveling."

He paused, then dropped a heavy bombshell.

"For this war, our world has over ten entities of my Level fighting to protect our homeland."

Over ten... World Destruction Level entities!

Even Raylo’s eyelids twitched upon hearing this number. He knew the Human World had hidden depths, but he never expected its foundation to be this profound!

He pondered, "It seems that worlds are also divided by Levels. A world like the Heart of Arcane, which only birthed a single World Destruction Level Giant Dragon, is merely a small world. Only worlds capable of nurturing multiple, or even over a dozen such beings, have the chance to sustain their civilization in this universe’s Dark Forest."

A sharp gleam flashed across the Golden Dragon’s giant eyes.

Over ten World Destruction Level entities.

This number, even in the Giant Dragon Realm where experts were as common as clouds, was enough to be considered a decisive Power.

"How do I trust you?" the Golden Dragon pressed.

"You don’t need to completely trust me," Austin Sage said frankly. "The Light Deity’s greed is endless. I am sure that you, who have lived for countless eons, understand the principle that without the lips, the teeth will grow cold better than I do.

"As one of the leaders of the Human World, I came here in person. This is our sincerity."

The Golden Dragon fell into a long silence once again.

The void was dead quiet.

Raylo could sense that the terrifying auras hidden deep within the Meteorite belt were all paying attention to this conversation that would decide the fate of two worlds.

After a long time, the Golden Dragon’s voice sounded again, carrying a trace of decisiveness.

"Very well.

"I need to discuss this with the other Dragon Lords...

"One month from now, we will meet in the Giant Dragon Realm to make the final decision."

"Agreed," Austin Sage readily accepted.
