Girl Hero: Revenge on Goblins!
Chapter 1199 - 507: Computer
In reality, on the fifth floor of the Dungeon, within the Sanctuary of the Divine City Sect.
Even though the duel between the Mute Girl and the Shield Woman had taken place, as well as the Winged Boy's one-sided domination over the believers of the Divine City Sect, this underground cavern, worthy of the name "Sanctuary," had not been much affected.
After all, the duel between the Mute Girl and the Shield Woman hadn't caused much disturbance, only snuffing out the light; and though the believers of the Divine City Sect tried their hardest to attack the Winged Boy, they achieved nothing in the face of overwhelming strength.
Therefore, until a few minutes ago, this sanctuary seemed as if nothing had happened, peaceful and pristine.
However, just a few minutes later, it was in chaos.
A raging storm of Magic Power swept the collapsed believers of the Divine City Sect up into the air like trash, before throwing them down hard. If it weren't for their magical defenses, even in their unconscious state, a mere fall wouldn't have been enough to kill them; this place would have been strewn with corpses long ago.
The only one who survived unscathed was the Spiritual Message Catcher.
He held his breath, hiding in the shadows, not daring to breathe as he watched the battle that had just erupted in the field.
After Big Sister touched the Gate of Oblivion summoned by the Shield Woman and ventured into the Land of Oblivion, the Winged Boy quickly followed and interfered with that gate.
Although he didn't enter the Land of Oblivion personally like Big Sister, becoming a virtual image inside the gate, the Spiritual Message Catcher, with his keen senses, could perceive that merely by interfering from the outside, the Winged Boy had already greatly influenced the situation within the Illusion Realm.
However, as a weak and helpless Second Transformation Thief with a disability, the Spiritual Message Catcher didn't dare to ask or interrupt, and could only silently observe the actions of the Winged Boy.
At first, the Winged One displayed an attitude full of confidence, but it wasn't long before he unconsciously furrowed his brows.
Without needing to ask, the Spiritual Message Catcher could tell from the emotional particles emanating from him: things didn't seem to be progressing smoothly, at least not as he had expected.
But, despite encountering difficulties, he seemed determined to uphold the principle he previously mentioned, showing no intent to give up. Instead, he opened his wings wide, released a breathtakingly powerful Magic Power, and, relying on his own strength, completed a Ritual Magic that the Catcher couldn't comprehend at all without any prior preparation.
At the moment that Magic was completed, even though he wasn't the target, the Catcher felt a wave of dizziness, almost losing consciousness.
—This was an enormous scale of Spirit Magic.
If targeted, having one's brains boil might be the better outcome; one could end up in a state more tragic than a slave, with their Spirit and soul being recklessly manipulated.
But having instinctively understood this, he had lost the opportunity to flee completely.
Initially thinking he would be engulfed by this Magic as well, the Catcher quickly regained clarity after a momentary daze.
And what he saw was the once seemingly invincible Winged Boy, who had been in control of the Illusion Realm within the Gate of Oblivion, suddenly having his hand repelled from the gate as if struck by lightning.
Moments later, the Gate of Oblivion flickered with dense light, transforming into layers of lockdown.
Even though the Catcher still couldn't comprehend what was happening, he understood that it seemed the Winged Boy would have a hard time interfering with the changes in the Illusion Realm anymore.
And realizing this faster than him, the Winged Boy, without hesitation, swung his wings and instantly cast a spell blasting towards one side of the cavern.
However, the high-tier Magic that could reduce the Catcher to fragments in an instant was torn apart by a slashing attack from the shadows.
The conflicting and canceling Great Magic exploded into a dazzling firework in the air, illuminating the scene below.
Emerging from the darkness was a Mage wielding a sword staff, wearing a hood, with his appearance indistinguishable, barely recognizable as a young man.
"—Who are you?"
Despite his first Attack proving futile, the Winged Boy's expression remained unchanged as he coldly questioned.
"Who am I?"
Upon hearing this, the young man seemed slightly surprised. Subsequently, he nodded as if realizing something:
"I see. Although we've fought countless times, this is the first face-to-face meeting. It seems I haven't left a strong enough impression on you."
Hearing this, the Winged One seemed to realize something, his expression changing slightly for the first time.
However, this mysterious young man, who had launched an Attack without saying a word, propelling the Winged Boy away from the Gate of Oblivion, didn't seem to care if the other recognized him. Before the other could respond, he released an even more intense Magic Power.
Following his will, dense Runes began to weave throughout the entire cavern, filling the Space, interlocking and constructing a massive Array.
The Catcher, trembling in the shadows, felt dizzy just from glancing at it.
"But no matter what, I have clearly warned you: do not touch my kin…"
At this point, the young man's words paused, casting a somewhat subtle gaze towards the Gate of Oblivion.
The virtual image of the Mute Girl within remained motionless, seemingly oblivious to the commotion outside.
Sighing helplessly, the young man continued:
"Forget it, although I don't know what she's up to... 'Ignorance is no excuse' shouldn't apply to you, right? Besides, such an excuse is merely what the weak use to find solace."
The Winged One gave no response.
His pupils darted rapidly, taking in the floating Magic Runes throughout the Space. Then, with his grey-feathered wings standing on end, he unleashed an overwhelming Magic Power that twisted the very Space around him.
Following that, Runes nearly identical to those constructed by the young man, yet even more intricate, were constructed one by one, forming a three-dimensional Array akin to a fortress.
This was a scene far more despair-inducing than the earlier confrontation with the Divine City Sect believers.
Those earlier believers had already lost control just by witnessing their far-from-Great-Magic-level Spells being counteracted, becoming either dazed and in disbelief, or displaying Fear and collapsing.
But they couldn't be blamed; for any sane Mage, the capabilities displayed by this grey-winged Winged One were enough to make them feel insignificant.
However, in the face of this, the young man's Posture remained unwavering.
"Oh? Is this truly wise?
"Your true form still lies in the state of ancient exile. That person, using their own existence, has severed your interference with the world. Without their permission, or rather, without their cooperation, you cannot be reborn in the world.
"Though here in the ambiguously bounded Space of the Dungeon, you can manifest as the 'Son of Angels,' the more power you exert in this direction, the further you distance yourself from the Main World. As things progress, even if her suppression ceases, your return will be nearly impossible.
"You have been preparing since ancient times, spending countless millennia anchoring yourself from that sacrificial exile... Is it truly worth it? Just for…"
The young man glanced again at the Mute Girl within the gate, seemingly uncertain about how to describe her.
"Hmm... a woman?"
But before he could finish, the Winged Boy replied coldly:
"Meaningless dialogue.
"If you are too foolish to see her value, then responding to you is pointless; and if you have the slightest discernment, then the answer is obvious.
"Let's end the delay here. I have no time to waste on you—she is still waiting for me."
"Ha... This world becomes more incomprehensible by the day." Hearing this, the young man shook his head with a hint of incredulity.
But immediately after, a crazed smile curled upon the face beneath the hood.
"—But indeed, compared to meaningless dialogue, this is so much simpler and more straightforward."
Runes like stars occupied the ends of the cavern, turning, combining like nebulae, prepared to unleash immense destruction upon their adversary at any moment.
No one witnessing this battle preparation would doubt that the cavern might collapse entirely in the ensuing conflict.
And as the Catcher seriously contemplated whether he should flee, the Gate of Oblivion—the only thing unaffected by the chaos within the Sanctuary—began to transform—
