"As expected, you don't quite match my expectations."

Upon receiving the answer from the Angel King, Father let out a low chuckle.

"However, it is indeed surprising, a response entirely from the weak."

"I thought you would give a more fitting answer, at least one more pleasing to me."

In the mental realm, the floor extended as pure white without end, and the forcibly invited Emerald-Starred Key lifted its head, gazing towards those sky-concealing Four Wings.

The enormous wings, three white and one black, spread across the sky, feathers unendingly layered, akin to the clouds themselves, their edges flowing with light like the sunset or dawn.

At the center, there was a faintly discernible figure of no remarkable size yet of unmatched existence.

Its outline appeared blurred in the light, yet its gaze unmistakably pressured every inch of the onlooker's body, even down to their viscera.

"Your assistance is indeed necessary. But self-deceptive rhetoric is meaningless."

Overlooking the world from its outside while unable to enter, the Great Demon spoke, its voice echoing like the universe itself.

"No deceit, no disguise, no concealment.

"What is called wisdom is often observing the truth."

The Four-winged King's head shifted slightly, the shadow of the wings tilting to wholly envelop Father.

"Wisdom is merely a means to an end." Despite being looked down upon from above, not a trace of reverence could be heard in Father's tone. "Deceit buys time, disguise avoids harm, concealment seizes opportunity."

"Perhaps so for the Battle Mage, but because of this, you can only fight alone, unable to walk alongside others."

"Dragging a group of weaklings as stepping stones, struggling to reach the mountaintop, is this the so-called 'Divine Knowledge'? If it's just this level, I'm afraid I'll have to lower my assessment of you yet again." Father's tone was utterly flat.

"Hehe," the being of the Four Wings chuckled softly, yet without any trace of mockery, carrying instead an almost embracing kindness.

"So let me ask, would my purpose fail to be achieved due to my truth, due to the weak?"

Father's brow slightly knitted, momentarily silent.

"You are a Battle Mage, thus in your eyes, there are only strength and weakness, only friend and foe.

"You deceive because of fear; disguise due to cowardice; conceal because of weakness.

"But I am different."

The Four-winged King's deep voice resonated between heaven and earth.

"I am fearless because of greatness; honest because of exaltedness; strong due to correctness.

"Hence, I will reach the truth, and I will attain you.

"This is the truth."

Father maintained his silence, seemingly pondering.

"Do you not deny it? You with free will can refuse at any time."

The Four-winged King asked again.

"But you won't look away from the truth."

"…Let me first hear your persuasion." Father exhaled a breath, then folded his arms, looking entirely unhurried.

"This is undoubtedly wisdom." The Four-winged King remarked.

"You find my answer displeases you, but that is merely subjective.

"I prepared the best path for humankind, therefore I am the strongest.

"I have already prepared everything needed to walk this path, therefore I have reached the limit.

"And at the end of this path is the end of all that only I can create."

"You can't create alone?" Father interrupted.

"Because I am not special." The Four-winged King replied blandly.

"…Oh?" Father raised an eyebrow, slightly surprised.

"Is it hard to understand?" The Four-winged King's voice carried a hint of amusement.

"Just as you cannot grasp the essence of her ability, my existence to you is equally mysterious.

"In your view, this is no different than admitting one's own weakness—but that's not the case.

"Not special, is just not special. Neither weak nor ordinary, nothing more.

"I am the God worshiped by angels, born from the faith of those accomplished demons, an angel surpassing angels."

"The ancient angels, huh." Father murmured, his gaze sweeping across each of the four unique single wings.

[Father's Angel Knowledge (Divine Knowledge +10, Angel +10)]

D80+20=(28)=48

Legendary angels possess an authority known as "Wings of Logic," but typically, two wings represent a single truth.

But like before his eyes, where each wing represents an individual logic, it is indeed an unimaginable existence.

Except…God?

"Though you vaguely realize it, you're not interested, right? After all, to you, they are already dust of history." The Four-winged King spoke, as one of the White Wings gently quivered.

In an instant, thousands of light feathers rained down, within the light and shadow refracted between the feathers, emerged countless images, all distant ancient historical tableaux before the Kingdom's establishment, serving as the magnificent epic of the Heavenly Divine Country.

Father gazed intently at the flashes of scenes, while the Angel King's voice resonated as if narrating.

"My subjects, like you, also yearned for unending things—wisdom.

"So, I can understand you.

"Just as even a fool may hit upon a truth, the tower built by that endless 'attainment' was originally 'me.'

"However, that cannot shape something truly special.

"You wouldn't consider, for instance, that the ordinary humans of a country, a continent, even a realm, could surpass a single Saintess.

"Yet among merely a country's ordinary humans, there's a possibility for a Saintess to be born.

"And I am not an existence 'born' from angels, but an existence 'constructed' by angels.

"I am the 'attainment' of fools, the 'Divine Wisdom' desired by mortals, the 'omnipotence' within the known scope.

"So, I am not special."

"…Interesting." Father chuckled quietly.

"But then this becomes somewhat inconsistent; if you're so self-aware, why do you persist in wanting to take my daughter, to pocket Divine Knowledge?

"The special ones, placed under your non-special self, would only obliterate their strength."

"First, in this respect, I must thank you." The Four-winged King's voice grew even warmer, "If not for your persistence, she wouldn't have thrown herself into my embrace. And if not for your accident, that child wouldn't have been born in this world either."

"…Oh?" Father squinted his eyes, "Setting aside my daughter, even she…?"

The Saintess he pursued, one of them being his own child, was well understood.

But the other, Divine Knowledge's actions were also credited by the being before him to his own doings.

"I see, it seems my plan was indeed a success." The thoughtful man slowly curled his lips.

In a future unknown to him, possibly unreachable, his Forbidden Curse definitively propelled civilization's end, a feat even that woman could not stop.

That was why she chose to commit herself to the Four-winged King.

Rapidly understanding this, Father's Emerald Eye shone increasingly resonant, calm.

But soon after, he clicked his tongue lightly, his tone filled with complex emotions: "Yet, even surrendering to such a character, she wouldn't willingly confront her own strengthening future… Foolish woman."

Father shook his head and continued to ask: "But this is odd, since I've already pushed Divine Knowledge into your embrace, why do you still pursue my daughter?"

"Without the Saintess, there is no Holy Mother, and without the two of them, I cannot become the Holy God." The Four-winged King's reply lacked any hesitation, resolute to the extreme.

"We three were originally meant to be one, and before having that child, nothing could begin, and naturally, my existence also had no meaning."
