Chapter 1302: Asad’s New Follower

"T-this..."

Wallace’s expression changed the moment he heard the roar.

He recognized that voice.

It belonged to a Demon that had been captured by one of the Codebreakers.

"How is that possible?"

Wallace immediately stepped back from the portal.

The roar came again, followed by a violent surge of demonic energy from the other side.

Something was approaching the portal... and judging from the intensity of that aura, it was not a weak Demon.

"Everyone, get back!"

Wallace shouted as he drew his weapon.

The portal suddenly trembled violently.

A massive figure rushed toward it from the other side.

The Demon had escaped!

It had somehow broken free from its restraints and discovered that the portal was about to reopen. Instead of fighting its way through the Codebreakers’ defenses, it had chosen to use the portal as an escape route.

Wallace’s expression became ugly.

"This is a disaster!"

The Demon was already charging toward the portal.

If it managed to pass through, there was no telling how much damage it could cause in this realm.

Wallace immediately prepared himself to intercept it. After all, this realm was prepared against Zombies, Vampires, and even Dragons... However, Demons was still relatively new to them!

However, before he could move, a powerful surge of deathly energy suddenly descended from above.

BOOM!

The Demon was forced to stop as a massive pressure crashed down around it.

Wallace immediately looked up.

A figure was approaching from the distance.

The man wore a black robe, and a dense aura of death surrounded his body. Countless undead creatures followed behind him, moving silently across the battlefield.

"Lord Asad?" Wade muttered as he heard it.

He hadn’t expected to see him here.

Asad was one of Shane’s strongest recruits and an elite member of the Eclipse Revenant Clan.

Reese belonged to the same organization, but Asad was on an entirely different level in terms of authority and strength.

The Necromancer glanced toward the portal before looking at the Demon on the other side of the portal, still trying to get inside their realm.

He just looked around for some time and immediately realized what was going on.

"So that’s what happened."

His expression remained calm as he wasn’t really that clueless about Demons. The undead he was able to summon, like the Wraith Queen, Mummy Lord, Abyss Knight, and others, had similar deathly and corrupt energy around them.

Soon, the Demon let out another furious roar and attempted to force its way through the portal.

Asad raised one hand.

Several powerful undead creatures immediately rushed forward and attacked the Demon, forcing it away from the portal.

Wallace watched the scene with a complicated expression.

He had been preparing to return peacefully.

Instead, the moment the portal reopened, one of the Demons captured by his own team had escaped and attempted to use his portal to flee.

And now, someone from this realm had arrived just in time to stop it.

"Looks like I’m not going home just yet."

The situation had suddenly become much more troublesome than he had expected.

The Demon continued struggling against the undead surrounding it... Soon, its body was shaking violently as it tried to force its way through the unstable portal.

Several undead creatures were thrown aside by its tremendous strength, but more undead immediately replaced them.

Asad remained several dozen meters away, calmly watching the battle.

The Demon suddenly raised one arm and smashed it toward the nearest undead.

BOOM!

The impact created a shockwave that sent several creatures flying.

"This creature is stronger than I expected."

Asad’s frowned as he saw it...

He could sense the enormous amount of demonic energy contained within the creature’s body. It was powerful, but more importantly, its body was already heavily corrupted.

That gave him an idea.

Instead of killing it, he could make it his own.

’Right... I can do that...’

Asad slowly raised his hand, and soon, the undead creatures allowed the Demon to enter their land!

However, before it could celebrate,

The deathly energy surrounding his body suddenly began to intensify!

"Necromancy."

A dark magic circle appeared beneath the Demon and it immediately sensed the danger.

It let out a furious roar and desperately tried to escape from the circle, but several undead creatures grabbed its limbs and forced it back.

"GET AWAY!"

The Demon released another wave of demonic energy, violently tearing apart several undead.

However, Asad’s expression did not change.

"You misunderstand."

His voice remained calm as he looked at the struggling Demon.

"I’m not trying to kill you."

The Demon froze for a moment.

Then, countless dark chains erupted from the magic circle beneath its feet. Just like that, they wrapped around its legs, arms, torso, and neck before sinking directly into its body.

The Demon screamed.

Its demonic energy immediately surged outward, attempting to destroy the chains, but the chains did not break.

Instead, they began absorbing the Demon’s power.

Asad’s eyes glowed faintly.

"Submit."

The Demon roared in defiance.

Its body began expanding as it poured more and more demonic energy into the struggle.

At this point, even the ground beneath it cracked. Then, the portal began trembling violently from the conflict.

Wallace watched from a distance, his expression becoming increasingly serious.

"What the hell is he doing?"

Wade stared at Asad in disbelief.

"Lord Asad is trying to tame it."

"Tame it?"

Wallace’s eyes widened.

"That thing is a Demon."

Wade nodded.

"Exactly."

The next moment, Asad’s aura suddenly exploded.

BOOM!

An enormous wave of deathly energy swept across the battlefield.

The Demon screamed as the dark chains tightened around its body.

Its demonic energy was gradually being suppressed, replaced by Asad’s necromantic power.

The Demon struggled desperately, but every attempt to resist only caused the chains to dig deeper into its soul.

Asad’s Necromancer authority was invading its very existence.

It wasn’t simply controlling the Demon’s body.

He was taking control of its soul.

"Your body is already dead the moment you crossed into my domain."

Asad calmly stepped forward.

"You simply haven’t realized it yet."

The Demon suddenly stopped moving... He was supposedly a powerful Demon Lord... He was feared by humans, and if he wasn’t injured, he wouldn’t even care about the lives of these humans with barely any soul energy within them.

Right now, however, fear appeared in its eyes.

Asad then extended one hand toward it.

"You’ll serve me now..."

The magic circle beneath the Demon suddenly expanded.

A tremendous surge of deathly energy erupted from the ground and engulfed its entire body.

The Demon’s roar echoed across the battlefield.

Then... there was silence.

The dark energy surrounding its body gradually disappeared.

The Demon remained standing.

However, something had changed.

Its previously violent demonic aura had become strangely quiet, and a faint black mist now surrounded its body.

Asad lowered his hand and the Demon slowly turned toward him.

Everyone watched carefully.

Wallace instinctively tightened his grip on his weapon.

Then the Demon lowered its head.

"Master."
