Global Dungeon: I Can See the Status Bar

Chapter 651 - 298: The Despicable Old Man Ao’s Tactics (Part 2)

Regular spells, even forbidden magic, are hard-pressed to break through the Dragon Race’s innate strong magic-resistant dragon scales, let alone cause damage, unless the cultivation gap between the two sides is significant.

However, dragons also possess even more powerful bodies, sharper dragon claws!

Use one’s own spear to attack the other’s shield.

While the physical defense of dragon scales is not low, it slightly pales in comparison to their near-perfect magic resistance.

Therefore, sheer brute force between bodies is the true key to victory!

Lu Wenwu took a large step forward, grabbing Morales’s tail into his arms. His dragon claws forcefully dug into the gaps of the opponent’s dragon scales, clutching onto the thick muscle bundles.

His stance, like an ancient tree deeply rooted, was steady, his hand muscles bulging, causing even the dragon scales to stretch slightly due to this mighty force.

"Come up with me!"

After a powerful shout, a bone-crunching squeak sounded.

Following that was a terrifying roar like a hurricane.

The Morales, transformed into a black dragon, was directly lifted by his tail and swung by Lu Wenwu!

The shocking scene was as if a mortal had lifted a small mountain, tossing it like a sandbag!

His spinning speed increased, and the force it carried grew larger.

Morales let out a painful wail.

Repeated crisp "crack" sounds echoed, a bone-chilling sound of his tailbones being brutally broken and shattered by this overwhelming force.

Until even Lu Wenwu could no longer control the rotating force, he eventually released his hands.

"Boom!"

The enormous black dragon’s body crashed into the shield of the Death Arena, causing the entire space to tremble.

The ground, already repeatedly crushed, shattered again, stirring up clouds of dust.

"Roar!"

The mournful dragon’s roar echoed as Morales rose at an incredible speed.

Even though his dragon scales had largely crumbled and his body was dyed red with blood, he still resolutely charged towards Lu Wenwu.

Suddenly, the two dragons collided in the most primal way.

Ground-shaking rumbles exploded continuously, with dragon scales and dragon blood flying wildly, almost turning the whole earth red.

Every punch landed with raw force, unreservedly!

Theoretically, Morales was not a true black dragon.

The dragon scales sharing growth with his Seat Dragon partner were not as strong as those of a true black dragon, nor did they possess the typical top-tier magic resistance of a true black dragon.

If Lu Wenwu were a standard Eastern True Dragon, he could easily counter Morales by bombarding him with abundant True Dragon Magic.

Left zero right fire, Lei Gong assist me!

Fire and thunder, the most violent methods of slaughter.

Unfortunately, he was not.

In fist technique and body refining, Lu Wenwu’s talent and comprehension were top-notch.

However, his achievements in spells, while not poor, only ranked as moderately acceptable.

Water, fire, and thunder are talents inherently borne with his bloodline.

Therefore, during his time in the Cultivation Realm, Lu Wenwu did not delve deeply into Dragon Race Magic, but instead, he chose to absorb and integrate parts that could enhance his combat system.

And what he excelled at the most was... explosive confrontations!

The battle went on for an unknown duration, the ground having sunk several meters due to the monstrous struggle.

The Crimson Abyss’s restoration speed for Morales’s injuries and its bleeding effect had stacked on many layers by now, with dragon scales completely shattered.

Currently, he resembled a porcelain on the verge of breaking, with what were once obsidian-black dragon scales now almost entirely dyed red, extremely weakened.

Incredibly, his Battle Intent was still rising, his aura maintained at its peak, not yet falling.

Lu Wenwu, too, was covered in blood, his body nearly devoid of unharmed flesh, challenging the limits of his Blood and Flesh Regeneration Talent.

From afar, he seemed as though possessed by some parasitic entity, with his whole body’s flesh writhing, repairing, and rearmoring itself with the red-black glow of his armor.

Finally, amidst the fierce collision between both sides, Lu Wenwu found an opening.

Bravely taking Morales’s gut-ripping claw, he flashed into space to appear directly under his opponent.

His right arm surged with violent thunder, poised to thrust the most terrifying blow into the gap of the reversed scale, aiming to obliterate the opponent’s heart and end this battle, when suddenly Lu Wenwu stopped.

Or rather, he was not the one who stopped.

Morales stopped.

After unleashing that claw, his colossal body became still like a sculpture, standing there with four paws grounded.

His life’s essence had dissipated without a trace.

In other words, what remained was not the Dragon Knight Morales.

It was his corpse.

The ferocity on Lu Wenwu’s face turned to astonishment, as the previously unsheathed Celestial Fire Thunderstorm quietly dissipated from his hands.

In disbelief, he gazed at the slowly dissolving corpse. His expression was as if he had seen a ghost.

"Not? In the middle of the fight, you died suddenly?"

"Oh no, did I become Fan Ma Yongzilang?"

"Alright, alright, I didn’t win, you didn’t lose, right?"

Though reluctant to accept this result, the fact was right before his eyes, with the Eye of True Sight having already provided the analysis.

Morales, having overburned his essence and soul and succumbed to severe injuries in combat, had perished, his soul dispersed to nothingness.

[Congratulations, you have won a Death Arena victory]

Hearing the belated system confirmation and watching the Death Arena barrier also dissolve into light, Lu Wenwu felt as uncomfortable as if he were forced to hold back halfway through a restroom visit.

Though victorious, the win particularly felt unsatisfying!

It felt like assembling a three-star set in Auto Chess only for others to click out, like gathering the OTK killer combo in Hearthstone but the opponent runs away, or like preparing to wreak havoc in Honor of Kings as a shooter only for the opponents to surrender...

In conclusion, roughly like that...

Right now, Lu Wenwu was extremely frustrated.

He would rather keep fighting; even a pyrrhic victory was better than such inexplicable triumph.

After venting his impotent rage briefly, he resentfully picked up the exceedingly long Dragon Rider Spear, along with the two-handed greatsword Morales had initially used.

These were the only remaining parts of the Furious Dragon Knight Armor Set, aside from the great shield.

Due to becoming dragon scales, the armor itself had been directly smashed by Lu Wenwu.

Bits and pieces embedded in the bloody and mangled corpse of Morales, impossible to pry out.

After collecting the few spoils, Lu Wenwu stood where he was, pondering over the deep pit.

Should I restore this place to its original state?

The road administration likely won’t bother me about this, right?

Or perhaps I should report to the Player Administration Bureau or even the police?

Wait, isn’t this something Liu Ming should handle?

Just as Lu Wenwu prepared to pull out his phone to make a call, a middle-aged man suddenly jumped down from above the pit, his eyes filled with strong admiration.

Who else could it be but the Confucian Scholar?

The Confucian Scholar, letting down his defenses, actively stepped forward, extending his hand: "Brother Wu, nice to meet you. You may call me ’Confucian Scholar,’ one of the administrators of the Player Administration Bureau."

Confucian Scholar was his actual ID.

Confucian Scholar was merely a title of respect by others.

If, before this battle, Confucian Scholar viewed the title "Brother Wu" as merely a codename, this battle made him address it with utmost sincerity.

The Ascension God Powerhouses, in his view, represent the emblem of invincibility.

Even if fallen, it only happens in the same realm attacks or within dungeons.

For Lu Wenwu to slay a Land Immortal with the strength of an initial S Tier, it was unbelievably fantastical!

At least for this Peak of S+ old-timer, it was wholly impossible.

Just this alone made the Confucian Scholar marvel at him as a descended Celestial God, a cherished disciple of Master Lan.

Had the Confucian Scholar known that Lu Wenwu had already slain a True Demon Mother Insect in the Ascension to Divinity Realm while still at A Tier, he’d probably be utterly shocked!
