Chapter 755 - 346: Looking Around with Sword Drawn but... Where’s My Sword?

  • Next Chapter

Looking at Blood Demon Bra’s expression of sheer terror, as if he’d seen a ghost, Lu Wenwu and the bishop he possessed were both a bit dumbfounded.

"What has come? Explain clearly."

At this moment, Blood Demon Bra had become like a frightened bird, utterly panicked.

He didn’t even try to leave the host by absorbing life energy but instead cut off a part of his own power, materializing into a blood-red bracelet around Lu Wenwu’s wrist.

Originally, he had planned to attach to Lu Wenwu’s body.

Just as he was about to do so, the enormous merit power contained within Lu Wenwu’s Body nearly sent him away instantly.

Helpless, he could only expose his main form externally.

Now, he was trembling incessantly like a vibrating bracelet, emitting spiritual thoughts filled with intense fear.

"Too late... too late... He is coming! We’re going to die, going to die, going to die..."

"I say, you at least fought me once, and now you’re scared to this extent—if this gets out, it’ll make me look really bad."

Lu Wenwu couldn’t help but raise his hand, frowning as he looked at this guy who had turned into a quivering quail.

"So... what exactly is comi—"

Before he finished speaking, the divine statue representing the God of Justice and Judgment suddenly burst into brilliant light, so intense it was blinding like a flashbang.

In the next moment, Blood Demon Bra and the possessed bishop both let out a piercing wail.

Lu Wenwu reacted quickly, directly throwing Blood Demon Bra into the Dragon Mansion dungeon, suppressing him with the Spirit Stone Mountain.

The bishop wasn’t so lucky.

The light emanating from the divine statue seemed to carry an incredibly powerful purifying force.

In an instant of contact, the bishop’s face twisted into an expression of intense pain.

Blood vessels across his body bulged outward, quivering and writhing like worms, emitting red-black light, rendering his internal meridians almost transparent.

"Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle..."

Like the sound of water evaporating, it rose from the bishop’s body, and a pale golden holy flame ignited upon his skin.

This was a flame power formed from extremely purified holy light, a method used in myth and legend by the God of Justice and Judgment to burn heretics during judgment.

The bishop continued to issue horrific howls.

Lu Wenwu watched as he was burned into a pile of ash-gray right before his eyes, drifting away with the wind.

This was truly turning to ashes.

Not even a speck was left.

In fact, many similar scenes were occurring throughout the Holy City of Light.

Those purified by the holy flame were mostly people whose faith wasn’t devout enough, or simply true heretics sent by other sects to infiltrate as undercover agents.

"The power of the concept of divine position, huh? But why am I completely unharmed?"

"This guy may at worst be disrespectful to the Gods of Light, or insufficiently devout in faith, but I’m openly planning to slay a god!"

Lu Wenwu stroked his chin with interest, slowly walking out of that light-filled Divine Hall like Ultraman Tiga transforming, looking up toward the sky.

High above, the blue sky had completely turned to gold.

The dazzling holy light even overshadowed the radiance of the Sun.

The sky was continuously trembling, as if some creature was ferociously pounding from behind, trying to break through to this side.

When Lu Wenwu came outside, everyone in the Holy City of Light except for him had already knelt down devoutly, looking up at the sky, singing hymns in a warped manner.

Countless voices gathered together, astonishingly unified even without a conductor!

The ceaseless sound waves gathered louder and louder, even causing some less stable buildings to resonate, collapsing in the majestic sacred song, burying the believers below.

Yet even so, the chorus of hymns never ceased.

Under this deafening rumble, the sky suddenly tore open a rift.

An even more brilliant and scorching holy light shone down through it, like a suspended sharp sword piercing through the sky, driving deep into the earth core.

Lu Wenwu removed his sunglasses, adjusting his pupils.

Now his eyes had completely transformed into dragon-like vertical pupils, minimizing the impact of the light pollution caused by the devout frenzy of the followers.

In that light and shadow resembling a giant sword reaching the heavens, Lu Wenwu saw a huge, indistinct figure.

It stood as grand as the legendary Titan Gods, only somewhat blurred.

In the sky, the sacred song seemed to reach its most fervent pitch.

The holy sounds mingled with the clangor of swords, exploding over the Holy City.

The immense silhouette that extended between heaven and earth unwaveringly took a step forward, like a sufferer breaking free from a quagmire.

In the next instant, it was as if it broke through the chains binding it, stepping into the Prime Material Plane.

It was a towering existence, with a seemingly human face, yet devoid of the slightest trace of emotion.

There was only that cold indifferent divinity.

In the Dharma Divine Ring behind, the shadows of balance and longsword crossed.

In his left hand, the brass balance scale shimmered like an ordinary mage’s tool, yet seemed to contain the ultimate mysteries of the universe.
