"Elder Hua said he couldn’t sense the substances in this potion," Lu Jiamei replied immediately. "But since it’s a liquid, he wanted me, a Water-Type Evolver, to give it a try!"

Ren Yuanyang nodded slightly. "Alright, you give it a try. I’m heading out for a moment."

"Okay!" Lu Jiamei agreed, picking up a vial of the unfinished Evolution Potion.

Ren Yuanyang left the lab and quickly made his way to the yacht at the edge of the Banyan Forest.

Jin Ziyu, having just finished breakfast, was now eating a chicken leg. She immediately stood up to greet Ren Yuanyang when she saw him. "Leader, have you eaten?"

Ren Yuanyang glanced around the yacht’s main lounge. Other than two or three crew members clearing dishes and tidying up, everyone else was already out working.

Ren Yuanyang was no longer surprised by Jin Ziyu’s love for food. He nodded. "I’ve already eaten. Get me a few containers. We’re going outside to collect rainwater."

Jin Ziyu was taken aback for a moment, then immediately used nearby metal to form several containers and headed outside.

"Leader, what are you collecting rainwater for?" Jin Ziyu couldn’t help but ask.

"I’m running some experiments for the Evolution Potion," Ren Yuanyang explained simply.

Although he could also control metal to create containers, he didn’t want to reveal his own Superpower Type just yet.

Hearing Ren Yuanyang’s explanation, Jin Ziyu didn’t press the issue. To her, eating a couple more bowls of rice was far more interesting than scientific research.

Jin Ziyu controlled the metal containers, arranging them on the yacht’s deck. The containers quickly filled with rain.

"Help me move these to the lab!" Ren Yuanyang said, picking up two of the containers and heading back.

Jin Ziyu immediately made the remaining containers fly up and follow behind him.

"Controlling these now that they’re full of water is a real workout for my Mental Energy!" Jin Ziyu mumbled while gnawing on her chicken leg.

"That’s a good thing," Ren Yuanyang replied. "Use this method to train more and rapidly increase your power. Everything else is superficial; the only thing that’s truly useful is your own strength."

Jin Ziyu nodded in complete agreement.

Back in the lab, Ren Yuanyang had her place the containers of rainwater to one side.

Lu Jiamei hadn’t left yet, and her face was etched with disappointment.

"How did it go? You couldn’t sense anything?" Ren Yuanyang asked.

Lu Jiamei nodded slightly. "I could only sense the water in the unfinished Evolution Potion..."

Ren Yuanyang pondered for a moment before saying, "I just collected some rainwater from outside. I need you to separate the pure water from it, leaving everything else behind."

"Okay!" Lu Jiamei immediately stepped forward and used her Water-Type Superpower to manipulate the collected rainwater.

This was a relatively delicate task. Normally, a Water Superpower User would just control the rainwater directly, using the water and all the substances within it to form attacks or defenses, without needing to separate the pure water first.

It took a full two hours for Lu Jiamei to completely separate the pure water from the rainwater.

Four large barrels of rainwater yielded less than half a barrel of a viscous substance.

Ren Yuanyang briefly sensed the substance and discovered that it was already very similar in composition to the Evolution Potion!

Apparently, the labs at the Aircraft Carrier Base had also removed certain known impurities, leaving only these special substances from the rainwater.

As for the impurities he had sensed in the unfinished Evolution Potion, he would have to run a test to find out whether the Aircraft Carrier Base had left them in intentionally or had simply been unable to separate them.

After separating the water, Lu Jiamei’s Mental Energy was nearly depleted, and her face had turned pale.

"You’ve worked hard. Go get some rest," Ren Yuanyang said.

Lu Jiamei didn’t argue. "Okay," she replied.

She couldn’t be of much more help in her current state, so she got up and left the lab.

Hua Lingfang’s eyes lit up as he looked at the substance Lu Jiamei had separated. "This looks a lot like the unfinished Evolution Potion!"

"You take some and try to compound the Evolution Potion. I’ll do some more research on my end," Ren Yuanyang instructed.

Hua Lingfang nodded and immediately got to work.

Using the Evolution Potion from the Aircraft Carrier Base as a reference, Ren Yuanyang further purified the substance Lu Jiamei had separated, making its composition identical to the base’s potion.

Then he took another sample of this purified substance and separated the remaining impurities from it completely.

With this, Ren Yuanyang now had two different types of unfinished Evolution Potions. He handed both to Hua Lingfang as well.

"Elder Hua, test these two unfinished Evolution Potions as well," Ren Yuanyang instructed, rubbing his forehead.

Hua Lingfang was taken aback. "Is there a difference between these two unfinished versions?"

"Yes, they’re different." Ren Yuanyang rubbed his forehead again, not elaborating further. Instead, he stood up and headed out. "You can start the experiments."

"Understood, Leader." Hua Lingfang didn’t press the issue and simply agreed.

After Ren Yuanyang left, Hua Lingfang couldn’t help but sigh to himself. ’We’re both Wood-Type Evolvers, so how can the difference between us be so huge?’

He was a Wood-Type Evolver, just like Ren Yuanyang. But Ren Yuanyang was clearly capable of processing the ingredients for the Evolution Potion, while he was not.

’He didn’t even think it was because his Mental Energy was too low. He couldn’t sense the substances in the Evolution Potion at all. Even if his Mental Energy were insufficient, he should have been able to sense *something*, however faintly.’
