Chapter 913 - 264: Chaos Endures, Demons Are Immortal (Part 2)
The Yaqi Demon, however, did not react much, as if in slumber, and all actions were merely reflexes of the body, including dragging them into this space which exists and does not exist, and including the tentacles attacking them.
Such a demon is terrifying, inherently merged with the rules of the world, even stronger than the two demons they had encountered before.
Placing this demon in any world could silently plunge the entire world into a terrifying doomsday, and those within would struggle to understand what had descended upon their world.
Su Changxing did not fire his gun again but instead stepped forward step by step; this demon existed between existence and non-existence, and it was impossible to kill it with ordinary means, only to drag it into the Pocket Galaxy.
This was also the best method he had to deal with these demons.
It seemed that this Celestial Calamity Demon was different from other demons, lacking intense self-awareness, more like an abnormal rule integrated into this world, existing in the form of a demon.
Tentacle after tentacle extended towards Su Changxing, which he slashed off with his scythe, dropping them to the ground, where they vanished. Smash.
In merely a few dozen seconds, he had reached the front of the Yaqi Demon. Numerous twisted eyes of varying sizes opened above it, constantly twisting, while looking at Su Changxing, watching him as he extended a hand forward.
It was only then that Su Changxing felt a faint sense of self-awareness on the Yaqi Demon, like that of an infant, making his scalp tingle.
Once these demons fully matured, they would undoubtedly be extremely terrifying.
But why are these demons imprisoned here?
Indeed.
In his view, these demons were imprisoned here; he didn’t think any demon would come here voluntarily.
What kind of person would create such a place, imprisoning so many demons here? Such an entity should find it easy to kill these demons.
So, what is his purpose?
Could it be Hongjun?
No, likely not.
The creator of this place should be stronger, at least comparable to a Divine Spirit, possibly related to the Doomsday Game.
He expanded the Pocket Galaxy again, preparing to pull the entirety of the Yaqi Demon’s body inside, with chains formed from streams of data climbing along the demon’s body. The Yaqi Demon seemed to awaken, causing the entire space to tremble incessantly.
Su Changxing felt the frantic struggle of the Yaqi Demon, the resistance exceeding expectations, yet still not beyond his control. Once within the Pocket Galaxy’s spatial range, it was under his absolute dominion.
He attempted to expand the Pocket Galaxy wider, injecting more faith and extracting more data streams, causing cracks to appear around the space, which rapidly shattered like an implosion.
Two different worlds’ spaces collided violently at that moment, like two saw blades spinning rapidly and crashing together, scattering brilliant sparks.
A massive creature with bat wings appeared out of nowhere above the Pocket Galaxy, its size spanning thousands of meters, enveloped in purple mist, floating continuously.
Once inside the Pocket Galaxy, the Yaqi Demon calmed down, offering no resistance, quietly observing the world like curious scrutiny.
Not long afterwards.
The purple mist vanished, and the demon too disappeared, completely merging into this world.
Su Changxing stared at the spot where the Yaqi Demon once existed, finding a huge stone monument, over ten meters high, exuding an old and weighty aura.
This monument had existed for an unknown number of years, yet remained intact, bearing only one incongruous line of text in an unfamiliar script resembling complex traditional characters. Su Changxing analyzed its meaning using the Eye of Data:
"Chaos eternal, Demon immortal."
As if a warning, an admonition for those who came later.
Su Changxing sensed profound helplessness within, like their confrontation with doomsday.
No one knows how long demons have existed or when they first emerged; only that these things predate any known civilization. Perhaps someone knows, but they’ve long vanished in the sands of time.
Even in the world of High Dimensions, there is no record whatsoever.
Su Changxing had been to the Eighth Dimension, the realm of High-level Players, where one of their primary tasks was to clear demons in every world.
Yet countless worlds still meet destruction, like Blue Star, aside from the Hound, seemingly no High-level Players have visited, long since neglected, likely due to the Ninth Dimension’s demise, so most worlds here have been abandoned.
Su Changxing stood for a long time, gazing at the monument, breathing increasingly urgent, lamenting that ignorant people might be lucky, once believing that with enough strength, he could control everything, master his destiny.
But in reality, it isn’t so. It seems the greater one’s strength, the more one knows and becomes increasingly desperate over everything encountered.
Even as he reached this point, it seemed nothing much had changed, continuing to walk forward as usual, bearing profound, tangible despair.
