Global Lords: I Have Information System
Chapter 1094 - 595: Airstrike Operation
"Nice, looks like timing beats showing up early."
"Since I ran into you, I’ve gotta leave you a little welcome gift."
Zong Shen put down the [Single-Person Telescope (Purple)], then flipped his hand and pulled out a [Type IV Goblin Bomb] and a [Type III Goblin Bomb], his face practically itching to try them.
He decided to send the Goblin Tribe a bit of warmth.
The main force isn’t here yet, no big deal—get this big gift delivered first.
Altars built with this kind of crooked, cultist crap—better wiped out sooner rather than later.
And while he was at it, he’d disrupt the Goblin Tribe’s normal operations.
That way, when the punitive expedition kicked off, it’d be much easier to take them down.
Plan confirmed, Zong Shen moved back behind the Flying Tiger’s neck.
First he twisted open the trigger cap on top of the [Type III Goblin Bomb].
Then he had the Flying Tiger go into a high-speed dive toward the altar clearing!
In reality, the technical threshold for high-altitude bombing isn’t low—normally you have to factor in altitude, release Time, and wind Speed to get a rough idea of the impact point.
Bombing runs in Earth’s wars all needed pre-calculated data.
A Bomb isn’t like a missile; it doesn’t have a guidance system or a propulsion system.
Its drop relies entirely on gravity for acceleration.
Only after calculating the drop parameters and position do you launch a bombing airstrike.
It’s not as brainless as just sending bombers out and dumping Bombs once you’re "roughly there."
That said, Zong Shen wasn’t planning to do high-altitude bombing. Even though he could use the Guide Module to predict the impact point, he still preferred low-altitude strike runs!
He prepped two Bombs—one Type III Bomb to deal with the unfinished altar.
The other Type IV Bomb he kept in reserve; if there was some trick hidden in the altar, like a Magic Shield or something, he’d just follow up with another strike.
If the first Bomb could cleanly destroy the half-finished altar, then he’d throw the High-Tier Bomb onto the dome-shaped wooden hut in the center of the Goblin Tribe.
That spot looked incredibly conspicuous, and definitely didn’t feel like any kind of "nice place."
Everything was ready—only the east wind was missing.
Once the Flying Tiger received explicit orders, it immediately initiated ultra-high-Speed maneuvers!
Its wings beat a few times, making a slight positional adjustment, lining its head up with the altar clearing, then it dove toward the target like a meteor coming in at a slanted angle.
Aside from those initial wingbeats, the Flying Tiger left all its acceleration to gravity.
In this near free-fall, brutal dive, its Speed quickly broke the sound barrier.
The oncoming airflow was ripped apart, letting out a sharp howling whine.
As they got closer and closer, the air in front of them felt almost solid; Zong Shen could see ring after ring of ripples streaming off behind them.
"Fwoosh!"
The Flying Tiger’s head rubbed violently against the air, heating up the space in front of them.
Fortunately, the 2,000-meter altitude wasn’t too high, and before the heat rose to unbearable levels, the Flying Tiger had already reached the designated position.
—Just over twenty meters above the altar.
And as the Flying Tiger beat its wings for an emergency pull-up, Zong Shen seized the moment, using the Guide Module to pre-generate a real-time phantom of the impact point. The instant the phantom overlapped with the big pit, he let go, dropping the [Type III Goblin Bomb] squarely at the altar.
Only air-supremacy Overlords like Eagle and the Flying Tiger could pull off this kind of insane maneuver.
Even cutting-edge fighter jets on Earth wouldn’t necessarily be able to fly this agilely.
Diving down to within twenty or thirty meters of the ground like that is basically flirting with death.
Even stunt planes can easily crash when performing high-angle dives.
Of course, the air-to-ground missiles loaded on a fighter jet are way more effective than Goblin Bombs.
One way or another, the Flying Tiger and Eagle were more than enough to fulfill Zong Shen’s airstrike fantasies.
And with the Guide Module’s support, even an idiot could drop a Bomb with Precision right onto the target’s face.
The Flying Tiger pulled up rapidly, while Zong Shen leaned over to one side, eyes locked on the falling Bomb. One or two seconds later, the Bomb landed on the edge of the big pit.
It scraped along the rim and fell into the pit.
Even though it didn’t nail the absolute center, as long as it went into the pit, that counted as success.
At the same time, this also proved the goblins hadn’t set up any Magic Shield.
As he watched the Bomb drop into the pit, about the span of a single breath later, a bright flare of Fire rose from inside. Smoke and a Fireball erupted skyward, the ground shook with an Earthquake, and the air surged.
Only after another one or two seconds did the sound of the Explosion reach them.
"Rumble!"
By this point, Eagle had already climbed back up to seven or eight hundred meters.
On the ground, dozens of Damage numbers popped up in dense clusters.
The [Type III Goblin Bomb] could deal 450 Explosion Damage within its Range.
The Damage would be doubled when hitting a Building.
Definitely a home-wrecking specialist.
As a veteran "Bullet Handler," Zong Shen had plenty of experience in Bomb deployment.
As long as he had enough Bombs, he dared to "nuke" the entire Continent flat!
He saw with his own eyes that the altar’s pit had suffered obvious collapse; the four stone pillars around it and the half-built platform had all toppled. Only then did he relax, guiding Eagle toward the center of the tribe.
After the altar was bombed, the goblins in charge of construction all panicked.
Even from his seat on the Flying Tiger’s back, Zong Shen could vaguely hear their "gibber-gabber" shrieks.
But there was always a short delay between the Explosion and the Goblin leadership’s response.
That window was probably around one to two minutes.
Enough Time for Eagle to complete one full high-mobility strike run.
Hundreds of meters vanished in a blink. Zong Shen had just twisted open the trigger cap of the [Type IV Goblin Bomb] when the Flying Tiger arrived over the dome-shaped wooden hut and started a new dive.
By now, the Explosion at the altar had drawn the tribe’s attention.
On the surrounding sentry towers, each twenty to thirty meters high, Goblin Spear Throwers had already spotted the Flying Tiger in the air, and goblins wearing Armor were walking out of the dome Building.
Their reaction Speed still couldn’t match the Flying Tiger’s dive Speed.
By the time the Spear Throwers started hurling Black-headed Battle Spears, Zong Shen had already dropped the Goblin Bomb, aiming straight at the dome-shaped wooden hut.
