Yuan Xiaobo said, defending the sprites.

"I wasn’t blaming the sprites..." Dong Lin trailed off, then said abruptly, "Yuan Xiaobo, have you noticed? The Divine Wood Territory has gotten bigger."

"What’s wrong? You know the flow of time is different between the two worlds, right?" Yuan Xiaobo chuckled to himself at Dong Lin’s surprised expression. "We were only gone for a month, but who knows how much time has passed here!"

"I heard from my dad that the last time the Lord left, it was eight years before he returned. I wonder how long it’s been this time."

"I’d say at least eight years. The Divine Wood has gotten so much bigger!" Dong Lin stroked a nearby branch, then ran to the edge of the World Tree Crown to look down.

The buildings of the territory below looked tiny compared to before, and he could even see clouds and mist drifting through the air.

"You’re right!" Yuan Xiaobo also walked to the edge of the crown, marveling at the buildings below. "It feels like we’ve traveled through time. Come on, let’s go down and take a look. I wonder how long it’s been. It hasn’t been a hundred years, has it?"
