Chapter 281: Chapter 229: Hunting Mission

Soon, a mission screen appeared before Ye Yun again.

New Mission 14: Hunt Mutated Creatures

Mission Description: A large number of mutated creatures have appeared in the wasteland, posing a serious threat to the shelter’s safety. Due to long-term exposure to radiation, these creatures have undergone genetic mutations, becoming abnormally ferocious and unpredictable. We must take measures to control their spread and protect the residents’ safety.

Mission Objective: Organize a professional hunting team to track and hunt the mutated creatures. The hunting team must eliminate at least 500 mutated creatures within 30 days to significantly reduce their numbers.

Mission Reward: Successful completion of the mission will grant 2x Random Purple Blueprints, 80x Purple Components, and Unknown Tech Data. These rewards will aid the shelter’s technological research and equipment upgrades.

New Mission 15: Recruit New Members

Mission Description: As the shelter continues to develop, we need more talented individuals to support our various construction efforts. Whether they are scientific researchers, engineers, doctors, or other skilled professionals, they are all precious resources we urgently need. We must create an effective recruitment plan to attract them to join our community.

Mission Objective: Recruit at least 20 new members with professional skills within 45 days through various channels and methods. The arrival of new members will bring new vitality and innovative thinking to our community.

Mission Reward: Successfully recruiting a sufficient number of new members will grant 5x Random Blue Blueprints, 1000x White Components, and Cultural Artwork. These rewards will enrich our cultural life and enhance the community’s overall strength.

New Mission 16: Weapon Maintenance

Mission Description: Our defensive strength relies on the advancement and reliability of our weapons and equipment. However, long-term use and harsh environmental conditions can lead to a decline in weapon performance. To ensure we can respond quickly and effectively when facing threats, we must conduct regular inspections and maintenance on all weapons.

Mission Objective: Conduct a comprehensive inspection and maintenance of all weapons and equipment in the shelter within 60 days. Ensure every weapon is in optimal condition, ready for combat at any time.

Mission Reward: Completing the weapon maintenance mission will grant 3x Random Green Blueprints, 50x Basic Energy Modules, and 300x White Components. These rewards will help improve our energy utilization efficiency and equipment performance.

Ye Yun studied the new missions, understanding in his heart the importance of each one to the shelter. He immediately summoned Lin Hao, Zhou Mei, Leo, and Bena to discuss how to assign the tasks and ensure each could be executed effectively to guarantee the shelter’s safety and development.

Inside the conference room, Ye Yun, Lin Hao, Zhou Mei, Leo, and Bena faced the newly appeared mission screen, their expressions serious and resolute. These missions were not only a test of the shelter’s strength but also a challenge to their teamwork.

"Lin Hao, New Mission 14, hunting the mutated creatures, requires your expertise," Ye Yun said, addressing Lin Hao first. "We need you to guide the hunting team, using your knowledge of the mutated creatures to formulate effective hunting strategies."

Lin Hao nodded seriously. "I’ll immediately organize the research team to analyze the mutated creatures’ behavioral patterns and provide the hunting team with scientific data and technical support."

Ye Yun turned to Zhou Mei and Leo. "New Mission 15, recruiting new members, is your responsibility. We need more talented people to support the shelter’s development. You two need to create a recruitment plan and attract outstanding individuals to join us."

Zhou Mei and Leo indicated their understanding and promised, "We will release recruitment information through various channels, hold job fairs, and attract capable people to join the shelter and build our home together."

Finally, Ye Yun looked at Bena. "New Mission 16, weapon maintenance, will require your organizational skills. Ensuring our defenses are always in optimal condition is the key to our survival."

Bena replied firmly, "I’ll organize the engineering team to inspect and maintain all weapons and equipment. I guarantee that every single weapon will be in peak combat condition."

Under Ye Yun’s arrangements, the three groups began their respective missions. Each group understood their responsibilities and would contribute their strength to the shelter’s future.

Lin Hao stood before a control console in the lab, his eyes fixed on the behavioral analysis data of the mutated creatures displayed on the screen. His team members were all busy with their own tasks: some observed samples under microscopes, some recorded experimental data, and others calibrated lab equipment.

"Dr. Lin, we’ve collected enough mutated creature samples," Dr. Zhang, the biologist, reported to Lin Hao. "Through analyzing their genes, we’ve discovered some interesting phenomena."

Lin Hao turned around and listened intently to Dr. Zhang’s report. "There are some unusual mutations in the genetic sequences of these creatures. This might be the reason for their ferocious behavior."

"We need to study these mutations further and find their weaknesses," Lin Hao instructed. "At the same time, we need to maintain communication with the hunting team, update them with our findings in a timely manner, and help them complete their mission more effectively."

Meanwhile, Zhou Mei and Leo were busy in the shelter’s human resources center. They were reviewing applicant files, screening for the talent most suited to the shelter’s needs.

"We need more researchers like this," Zhou Mei said, pointing to a resume. "Their professional background and research achievements would be a huge boost to our technological development."
