Arthur heard the voice, but he merely thought some bug was screeching in the darkness. He paid little attention to it and continued walking toward the punching machine, completely ignoring the commotion behind him.

"Bastard, didn’t you hear what I just said? Get the fuck away from the line!" A firm hand suddenly grabbed his shoulder and tried to force him away.

But the instant that hand touched his shoulder, a flash of light appeared. In the very next moment, a clean cut appeared on the arm of the hand, precisely an inch above the elbow joint.

Thud!

The young man froze for a moment, unable to comprehend what had happened. Then his eyes slowly dropped toward his arm, and his expression instantly turned horrified when he realized that his hand had been cleanly severed from his body.

"Ahhhhhhh...!"

An earth-shattering scream erupted from his mouth as the pain finally reached his brain and his mind processed the reality before him. His hand was really gone. Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined that someone would actually dare to cut off his hand in public.

"My hand... My hand... Ah... my hand!" The young man collapsed onto the ground, clutching the wound as blood continuously poured from it. Even though he was a player and possessed a Gold Foundation, he was far from immortal. His body could not regenerate a lost organ or completely eliminate pain. At most, his physical body was merely stronger than that of an ordinary human.

The entire venue fell into complete silence. Everyone stared at the scene in disbelief, unable to process what had just happened. The incident had occurred so quickly that most people hadn’t even seen the attack.

Arthur slowly turned around and looked down at the man lying on the ground. His expression remained completely indifferent, as though the severed hand had nothing to do with him.

Suddenly, a strange and terrifying aura gushed out from Arthur’s body like a tidal wave. However, unlike an ordinary burst of pressure, this aura was concentrated entirely toward the young man on the ground.

It was the talent of the Demon Emperor, Intimidation.

With this talent, anyone significantly weaker than Arthur would gradually lose their sanity after being exposed to his aura for too long. The pressure wasn’t merely physical. It attacked the very mind and spirit of its target.

Arthur deactivated the aura almost immediately. He had only wanted to teach this brat a lesson, not completely destroy his mind and ruin his entire life.

"No! Please forgive me! I was wrong!" The young man completely forgot about the pain in his arm and began desperately slamming his forehead against the ground. After several heavy thuds, his eyes rolled back, and he lost consciousness.

"Boring. I lost interest now," Arthur muttered casually before stepping out of the line. He then walked toward the guard responsible for checking everyone’s identities.

The guard watched Arthur approaching and felt an indescribable terror rising from the depths of his heart. His body instinctively tensed, and he couldn’t help but swallow nervously.

"Excuse me. I want to enter the campus to search for a friend of mine. Can I go inside?" Arthur asked calmly.

The guard had already seen his name and knew that he was a descendant of the Miller family. More importantly, he had just witnessed Arthur’s terrifying strength.

Just now, he hadn’t even seen how Arthur had moved. As a Gold Foundation Assassin himself, the guard knew exactly how terrifying that speed was.

Even if Arthur wasn’t a powerful player, what could he possibly do when the victim had been the one who assaulted him first? Besides, Arthur was the heir of the Miller family.

After quickly weighing the pros and cons, the guard immediately made his decision.

"You can go inside, sir," the guard said respectfully.

Arthur gave a slight nod and slowly entered through the gate without giving the injured young man another glance.

Only after Arthur disappeared inside did the public finally react. No one could understand why the guard had allowed such a person to enter the campus instead of apprehending him.

The guard quickly ran toward the injured young man and took out a low-grade healing potion before carefully feeding it to him. The bleeding soon stopped, and the man’s condition stabilized.

As for the young master of the Grandvale family, he was still trembling uncontrollably. He had even lost control of himself from fear, though thankfully, no one noticed it amid the chaos.

Just now, no one had truly seen what happened. However, he had been standing directly behind his subordinate when Arthur attacked.

He had felt that terrifying aura firsthand.

A portion of Arthur’s Intimidation had been directed toward him as well, and for that instant, he had completely lost the will to even speak.

"Sir, he is your subordinate, right? What do you want to do?" the guard finally asked after feeding the injured man the potion.

The bleeding had already stopped, but the severed hand was still missing. The young man was the heir of another giant family, so the guard didn’t dare make the decision himself.

Hearing the guard’s question, the young master of the Grandvale family finally regained some of his courage. He wiped away the cold sweat from his forehead, trying to compose himself.

He possessed a Platinum-grade Foundation and was also a member of Eliana’s team, an elite member who had fought against the demonic monsters in the Herian the city.

Yet the terror he had experienced just now was on an entirely different level.

"Please send him to the hospital. I will cover all of his medical expenses, including the high-grade healing potion needed to regrow his arm."

He paused for a moment and looked toward Arthur’s back as he disappeared through the campus gate.

"And there is no need to cause any fuss or bother him. We were in the wrong."

His attitude changed completely in an instant. He was humbled.

"Okay," the guard muttered.

Although the situation was rather unusual, everyone present here was a player. They had fought countless monsters and had even experienced death several times.

Their mental fortitude was therefore far stronger than that of ordinary people. After witnessing what had happened, most of them simply accepted the outcome and continued with their testing.

It was already evening, and the entrance procedure would continue only until eight o’clock tonight.

Meanwhile, Arthur heard the conversation behind him and smiled faintly. If the Grandvale heir had decided to retaliate, Arthur would have simply banned the entire Grandvale family from trading with him.

He would have done the same to Eliana.

Fortunately, the young master of the Grandvale family had enough sense to understand the difference in their positions and chose not to provoke him further.

After passing through the gate, Arthur began walking along the campus road. He still had no idea where the fatty was currently located.

The evening air inside the campus was surprisingly refreshing. The surroundings were filled with players moving in different directions, and Arthur soon noticed that those who had passed the strength test were heading toward a huge playground on the right.

Arthur tried calling Paul’s phone number, but the call wouldn’t connect. Perhaps Paul had changed his number.

With no other option, Arthur followed the group of players and headed toward the playground.

Boom!

Suddenly, a loud explosion erupted from the northeastern section of the playground. The sound was powerful enough to shake the surrounding area, immediately drawing the attention of everyone nearby.

A commotion had clearly broken out there.

"Heh! A poor shit like you is trying to propose to Ms. Hania? How audacious!"

The angry yet disdainful voice carried across the playground.

Although the location was quite far away, Arthur heard the voice clearly. He could even see them clearly in the darkness.

His eyes narrowed slightly as he looked toward the source of the commotion.

Among the crowd, he saw a young man who had just been struck and sent crashing onto the ground.

Arthur’s expression changed slightly.

That person was none other than his friend, Paul.
