"What the hell is that!?"

Killian felt his stomach churn in disgust as he looked at the giant monster.

Even Pandora had a deep frown as she also felt deeply disgusted, but she pushed the urge to vomit back down her throat.

However, the monster didn’t care about what they were thinking as it struck again.

Fortunately, Regis was able to react instantly and block it with his sword. His feet left two marks on the ground due to the sheer impact of the attack.

"Focus! Be on guard! Pandora, don’t recklessly cast magic spells and only do so if one of us is in danger!"

"Killian! Let’s gauge this thing’s abilities first. It would be a pain if it suddenly launched some sort of surprise attack!"

His clear voice resounded loudly, snapping both Pandora and Killian out of their daze.

A serious expression appeared on both of their faces as they tightened the grip on their staff and sword respectively.

As Regis was still in a deadlock with the monster, he could clearly feel the power of the monster through its arm.

"Be careful! I think it’s way stronger than just an Early Stage Two Star!" He gritted his teeth as he felt his feet sinking deeper in the ground.

BZZZT—!!!!

At this moment, a streak of lightning suddenly arrived and circled around the giant monster’s arm.

SPLURTTTTT!!!

It didn’t take long before blood splattered from the numerous slashes on its arm.

"Took you long enough." Regis smiled.

The figure covered in lightning was none other than Killian.

"Sorry, I just don’t like ugly things."

The monster groaned in pain as it held its injured gorilla arm with its other bear-like arm.

"Ehhhh???"

For some reason, Regis could feel something from the monster.

’What’s this?’

It was as if it was trying to express its emotions to them.

Regis pursed his lips, deciding to ignore the unsettling emotion in his heart, ’Maybe it’s just my imagination...’

"Since you can do more damage than me, I’ll be the one to bait it around, okay?"

Not knowing what Regis was thinking, Killian spoke and made his move. Lightning surged in his body once again as he disappeared.

ROARRRRRR!!!!

Seemingly having recovered from his injuries, the monster let out a loud roar.

However, the sound of its roar wasn’t like that of any wild beast.

Maybe it was due to its human head, but the shout that came from it sounded like a mixture of a human shout and the roar of wild beasts.

Disgust churned in the three’s stomachs as they heard its roar.

However, this only further provoked Killian as he instantly turned into a streak of lightning.

He instantly arrived before the monster’s face and hacked with his sword with high speed and precision.

Unfortunately, the monster seemed to be expecting it as it hurriedly blocked the attack using its bear paw.

CLANKKKK!!!!

"What the..."

Killian was dumbfounded as he felt his sword hitting something solid, followed by a metallic clang.

He retreated about five meters back and thought, ’So its gorilla hand is mainly used for offense while its bear paw is for defense, huh?’

’It’s quite tricky but...’ Killian smiled before he turned into a streak of lightning once again.

Meanwhile, Pandora sweated as she observed their current situation. She readied her staff as she observed the battle carefully.

’How could I help them...’ Was the only thought in her mind at the moment.

Currently, she only had a few spells at her disposal, limiting the ways she could possibly help Regis and Killian.

Besides this, the opponent proved to be too powerful for the magic spells she could normally cast.

This meant that even if she casted a ton of basic and low rank magic spells, it might not affect the monster at all.

On the other hand, casting higher level spells would be impractical.

After all, casting mid rank magic spells and above once would incapacitate her instantly.

This further limited the ways she could possibly be of help.

All these thoughts swirled around in Pandora’s mind in a span of a few moments as her eyes darted around the area.

’The distance between me and the monster is about 10 meters... if I can close the distance between us, then I might be able to do it...’

As she thought of this, Pandora immediately began to move.

Meanwhile, as Regis and Killian continued their assault towards the monster, they faced yet another problem.

"Shit, it’s too tough!"

Killian couldn’t help but retreat again in order to assess the situation.

Staring at the monster’s gorilla arm, he could see some slash marks on it. That was all there was, slash marks.

No injuries could be seen on it at all.

’What the hell? Didn’t I just injure its gorilla arm earlier? Why couldn’t I damage it now!?’

Shaking his head, his concentration peaked as he brandished his sword once again before his figure blurred in a streak of lightning.

"If it can recover quickly, then I’ll just slash it over and over again until my damage can outpace its recovery!"

Yellow streaks of lightning that complimented his blonde hair surged even wilder.

The yellow streak of lightning not only blitz through the vegetation on the ground, it also began to use the trees as platforms and bounced around them.

Seeing the annoying yellow fly that flew around, it felt dizzy.

With a deafening roar, the monster began flailing around with its arms.

It also used its four horse hooves in order to jump around, trying to catch the yellow fly with all its strength.

Meanwhile, Regis felt that something was off as he continued attacking the monster from behind.

Currently, whenever the monster had its attention on Killian, Regis would position himself behind it and exploit its weak spot.

However, as time passed by, he felt that something was wrong.

As he kept slashing at its wounds, its recovery rate was also increasing. Furthermore, the scabs that formed over its wound would always be tougher than the previous one.

At this moment, the monster turned its body towards Regis.

It was obvious that the monster was also quite annoyed by the fly that kept attacking its back

Unfortunately for it, Regis was alert and immediately increased the distance between them.

"Where are you looking!?"

Just as the monster was about to chase after Regis, a yellow streak of lightning instantly slashed it all over its body.

Annoyed, the monster utilized all four of its hooves in order to chase the yellow fly.

Regis immediately took advantage of this and kept attacking its back, further infuriating the monster.

They repeated this cycle, wanting to find a loophole in its annoying blend of unbreakable defense and rapid regeneration.

Unbeknownst to them, a girl whose ruby-red eyes gleamed brightly, slowly approached them as she waited for the right moment.
