Chapter 282: Requirements Met II

Inside the simply furnished office...

"My Lord, these are the results of the most recent investigation in the Yoktir Swamp."

The one speaking was none other than the right hand of the Harmonia City Lord, Renoir.

His current expression was a sharp contrast to his lively flair back in Harmonia City’s Inauguration.

The black feline ears on his head seemed to be tensed as his brows were locked in a slight frown.

His formal black suit seemed to be strictly ironed, while his white-gloved hand stayed behind him, his posture not faltering even when his expression was crumbling.

Meanwhile, in front of him was the City Lord of Harmonia himself, Reinhardt.

Like Renoir, his current state seemed to form a sharp contrast to when he faced the citizens of Harmonia back in its inauguration.

Unlike Reinhardt’s timid nature back then, he currently had a tranquil light in his eyes— as if he would not be surprised by whatever may come his way.

Reading the document in his hand, Reinhardt leaned back on his chair with a sigh.

He massaged his brows with his fingers, saying, "This is troublesome. To think that a portal to the Demon Realm will manifest in Yoktir Swamp... But something’s strange."

Reinhardt could not pinpoint exactly what strange thing he felt.

Thus, clinging to that feeling, he repeatedly read the whole document multiple times, hoping that it would enlighten him.

’He’s like this again...’

Renoir, as Reinhardt’s right-hand man, knew his lord’s tendencies the most.

’Once he notices something, he won’t let it go until he finds exactly what was wrong.’

Nevertheless, Renoir still maintained a serious look on his face, ’Still, every time this happened, there’s a 99% chance that my lord is right.’

Unfortunately, this time, Reinhardt seemed not to be able to notice anything else aside from his strange feeling.

It had already been more than ten minutes since he started repeatedly reading the document in his hand.

"Ugh... I might need to set this aside for now..." Reinhardt spoke with a fed-up voice.

He then glanced towards his right-hand man and asked, "Is there anything else?"

Renoir nodded as he handed two more letters, "These letters are from the Adventurer Guild’s Branch Leader and Regis, the Angelic Devil."

"Angelic Devil, huh? It’s been a while since I received any news about him..."

Reinhardt muttered out loud.

While he was opening the letters, Renoir said, "Yes, My Lord. Regis had been inactive for a few months. Sources say that he’s nurturing his parties and is planning to establish an adventurer corporation."

"Is that so? Interesting..."

Reinhardt commented casually as he first read the Branch Leader’s letter.

"Oh..."

Seeing the surprise in the City Lord’s face, Renoir could not help but tilt his head in curiosity, his black cat ears also moving in response to his emotion.

Reinhardt glanced at him and softly chuckled, "It’s a recommendation letter for the establishment of a new adventurer corporation..."

"Oh? Is someone establishing a new corporation in the city? That’s goo—"

Just as Renoir was about to finish speaking, he noticed his lord’s strange gaze.

Without a word, Reinhardt hurriedly read Regis’s letter, and as he had expected, it was a formal application.

An application for the establishment of a new adventurer corporation.

As soon as Reinhardt finished reading the two letters, he could not help but let out a chuckle, "Haha, this is great. To think that he’s able to meet all the requirements this fast..."

"Could it be..." Hearing his words, Renoir finally had an inkling as to why he made that expression.

Reinhardt nodded, "Yes. It was Regis who was being recommended by the Branch Leader."

"How could that be? Their fifth party, Equilla, had just recently finished their first quest."

"I don’t know, they must’ve come into some sort of agreement. Well, it’s not like it’s our problem, since it’s within the Adventurer Guild’s authority... On the contrary, this benefits us, doesn’t it?"

Knowing what he was implying, Renoir nodded, "Yes, I’m just a little shocked..."

"I am too."

Reinhardt responded with a smile, "Still, that Angelic Devil really is full of surprises despite being young..."

5 Gilded Row, Central District, Harmonia City

Regis, Pandora, Killian, and Aurelia were all currently sitting together on couches in the living room.

"I feel a little nervous..."

Though Regis said that, a small smile still hung on his lips.

Pandora nodded in agreement, while Aurelia had a relieved expression on his face, "We’re finally getting rid of this accursed party name!"

"A-Accursed? Isn’t that too..." Killian was about to rebut, but when he saw everyone’s gazes towards him, his voice became lower and lower until it was inaudible.

Pandora even looked like she wanted to attack him with magic.

"But, guys..."

Regis suddenly called out, his expression serious, "We have another huge problem in front of us."

His serious expression seemed to have infected the other three as their gazes became solemn as well.

"What is it, Brother?" This time, Pandora was the first one to ask.

Under their gazes, Regis took a deep breath and replied, "It’s the name of our corporation. The Branch Leader told me that, since Equilla was the one to accomplish the quest of the City Council, we’ll be given priority... He estimated that the council’s reply will arrive tomorrow at the earliest."

Hearing his words, Aurelia and Pandora fell into deep thought.

After all, the name of their party, Decadence Tea Party, was something that they had long wanted to not associate themselves with.

Especially during quests where they would need to introduce themselves and their party.

Those times were really not fun for them.

At this moment, Killian smiled widely, "What if we named our corporation—"

Unfortunately, Aurelia raised her hands before he could even finish speaking.

"Please, shut up for a moment."

Her words, along with Pandora’s piercing gaze, made Killian shrink back in his seat.

He felt wronged, but it was ultimately his fault.

Therefore, he could not say anything to defend himself.

Just like that, the four spent the entire afternoon thinking of a name for their soon-to-be adventurer corporation.
