Rays of sunlight peeked through the stained windows, allowing for a somewhat sacred atmosphere inside.

The interior was fairly simple, with no lavish decorations or ornaments.

A round table sat at the center of the room, where eight people sat, their expressions filled with a myriad of emotions.

Some exuded calmness.

Others could be seen shifting slightly in their seats.

A touch of excitement was prominent in some people as well.

Overall, everyone was currently judging the current situation from their own perspective.

"First of all, I am sure all of you are currently confused as to why I insisted on the establishment of this corporation."

The boy with snow-white hair and blood-red eyes sitting at the round table broke the silence first.

He was currently wearing loose black pants and a shirt, his short hair combed neatly with some strands on his forehead.

The boy was none other than Regis.

"You can see this as me being selfish..."

He sighed before continuing, "...but the main reason behind my desire to create the Sanguine Order stems from my experience back then. As you all know, Pandora’s and my hometown, Toran, was raided by demonic humans.

They then kidnapped people, specifically children, to serve as expendable soldiers to lay waste to other innocent people’s lives..."

As Regis spoke, a few others sitting at the round table shifted in their seats with a frown on their faces.

They were none other than Vanessa, Zild, and Lesfera, who had all been a part of the former demonic suicide squad in the past.

As for Pandora, aside from her flinching slightly at the memories resurfacing in her mind, her expression remained neutral.

The others, Killian, Marzana, and Aurelia, listened attentively with serious expressions.

Regis soon finished speaking, glancing at the people sitting with him at the round table as a smile bloomed on his face.

"...That’s all, really. It’s not because of something grand like saving the world—no. I just want to kill those demonic worshippers with my own hands and prevent them from doing to others what they did to us.

And of course, I want us to be rich~."

His last words made everyone smile due to the sudden shift from seriousness to a touch of humor.

"Of course, I won’t force my desire on all of you."

Regis sighed, "You’re all free to do whatever you want under the Sanguine Order’s name."

At his words, most of the people at the round table wore expressions as if they disagreed with him and wanted to say something.

However, Aurelia was the first one to speak, "That’s inappropriate, Leader."

"Oh?" Regis looked at her with a confused expression.

"When we agreed to be members of this adventurer corporation, we had also determined ourselves, as your people, to stand by your side. Besides, this isn’t the first time you’ve told us about your desire to eliminate the demonic worshippers, demons, and even devils once and for all..."

Aurelia stood up as she spoke nonstop, her eyes gleaming with concern and a touch of indignance while Killian, Pandora, Vanessa, Zild, Lesfera, and Marzana all nodded in agreement as they listened.

’T-This... why do they look so angry? I just don’t want to force them to do anything...’

Regis was genuinely shocked at Aurelia’s sudden outburst of emotion.

Nevertheless, he still listened attentively to her.

"We’ve been here with you... Maybe not since the beginning, but we’ve been with you ever since we decided to follow you. Now that you’re telling us to do whatever we want, it only looks like you’re making little of our determination..."

"I-I didn’t mean that, though—"

"Shh, Brother."

Hearing Pandora proactively telling him to stay quiet, Regis was all the more flabbergasted.

’But I really didn’t mean that!’ He felt like crying.

Fortunately, Aurelia soon finished speaking, "That’s all, Leader. Just think a little before your next words, alright?"

Regis massaged his temples, "Let’s move on to the agenda of this meeting.

First and foremost, I have to reiterate what I have said earlier.

What I truly meant was that every squad could accept any kind of quests at their own discretion, provided that they submit a notice with the general information regarding the quest they will be undertaking."

Hearing his words, Aurelia and the others had a satisfied expression on their faces.

Regis then cleared his throat and continued after a moment, "Now, these are the quests that I have personally picked and requested from the Branch Leader in the past few days..."

As he spoke, he distributed some copies of the quest flyers to everyone.

"I have selected around ten quests, so that you all have a choice for the first major mission of the Sanguine Order."

Aurelia, Pandora, Killian, Marzana, Zild, and Lesfera all read the details of the quests quietly as they tried to see what was so special about them.

The sound of murmurings and flipping papers lasted for a few minutes before everyone finished reading.

"These..."

Aurelia was the first one to break the silence as she could not help but frown, "These quests have one thing in common..."

"Right." Vanessa chimed in, "They’re all quests concerning the major demon battlefronts throughout the continent..."

Realizing this, Pandora, Zild, Lesfera, and Marzana all could not help but be taken aback.

Even Killian almost choked on his own saliva, "W-What!?"

Just like that, the meeting between the four members of the main party, as well as the captains of the other four squads, continued as they discussed the various quests for hours.
