Chapter 295: Dealing with the Wyverns
"Faster! We should escape as soon as possible, so we wouldn’t hold the leader back!"
Aurelia spoke with a firm voice, mustering every bit of her strength to avoid looking back.
Beside her, her older sister, Auryn, could not help but ask in a whisper, "Lia, would Regis be alright? Shouldn’t we go and help him?"
At her words, Pandora, Aeola, Killian, and the others all involuntarily clenched their fists.
Aurelia clearly noticed this as she smiled at her sister, "Big Sis, the leader wouldn’t issue a command without a reason. I’m sure he knows that our first mission supersedes everything else, since our reputation is at stake."
’And I’m sure that he also wants to prioritize Marzana’s mental state this time...’ She added quietly in her heart.
Her words eased the tension everyone was feeling; she clearly knew that, like her, they would feel powerless due to the fact that they could not even stay behind with their leader in a situation like this.
Aurelia thought for a moment and spoke again, "Big Sis, Big Bro, and everyone else... You should know that besides being called the Angelic Devil, the leader has another title the people gave him in the past few years he worked as an adventurer, right?"
Influenced by her words, everyone was distracted from the depression they were feeling as their minds involuntarily thought of something else.
That was right, Regis, before being called the Angelic Devil in Harmonia, had another title.
The title was what the masses and other adventurers called him due to his efficiency in doing quests— no matter the difficulty and expected duration of them.
Furthermore, whenever he submits the quest requirements, he would always look spotless, like he came from a vacation rather than a quest.
Thus, a name that made him cringe every time he heard of it to the point that he was always covered in goosebumps, was born.
A title that was now like a legend in the industry of adventurers and a subject in fairytales.
Regis became an adventurer known as the Undying Knight in Shining Armor.
As everyone remembered this name that he had tried so hard to forget, fits of giggles and chuckles erupted within the caravan as they continued their travels.

Meanwhile, at the summit of one of the mountains of Sagrada Dragona...
[Grand Magic: Devastatio Vorago]
Only the echo of Regis’s chant permeated throughout the area as the mountain looked like someone had bitten off a large chunk of it.
This was one of the few grand magic spells he had bought with the help of Aurum’s connections.
After all, unlike lower-ranked magic spells, Master and grand ranks were infinitely rarer.
Devastatio Vorago was a wide-area spell that caused a colorful explosion due to the amalgamation of multiple spheres of mana that each had been compressed a hundred times.
Overall, it was a beautiful yet destructive magic.
"Achoo—"
Regis suddenly sneezed while feeling his ears become a little itchy.
A confused expression appeared on his face as he could not help but wonder, "Hmm, I wonder who’s talking about me?"
"Anyways..." Shaking his head, he began surveying the area in the next second.
At this moment, what greeted his sight was the part of the mountain that had been mercilessly razed by his powerful magic, which enabled him to see some cave entrances that had been previously hidden.
"I guess I should investigate a little as to why these wyverns were behaving strangely..."
Regis spoke out loud, but just as he was about to fly into one of the entrances, he turned his gaze to the sides of the mountain.
What he saw was countless glowing vertical pupils.
They were none other than wyverns.
Even after the magic that Regis demonstrated, he still saw numerous wyverns crawling on the mountain walls.
GRRRRRR—--
"This is gonna be a pain... I guess I can use a bit of aura for this...?"
Regis muttered to himself as he considered his options.
’Ugh, I’m saving my aura in case of emergencies since recovering it is a pain, but I guess I’d have to do it if I wanna kill these monsters without causing too much damage in the area...’
He was well aware that any further commotion would only attract more and more monsters as time passed, which would delay him even more.
Thus, Regis closed his eyes as he chanted.
[High Rank Magic: Wind Connection]
As soon as he finished his chant, strands of mana that soon transformed into wisps of wind were emitted from his body.
Along with the cold mountain breeze, the wisps that originated from Regis blended with them.
On the outside, nothing happened, making one wonder whether this spell really was on the level of a High Rank Magic.
However, the same could not be the same inside Regis’s mind.
The wisps of wind that he emitted earlier served as an extension of his very senses, enabling him to detect everything within tens of kilometers while being undetectable.
After a few moments, Regis opened his eyes with a nod.
Scanning the wyverns crawling and flying around the mountain with his gaze, he muttered, "Alright, there are close to fifty wyverns as of the moment. As for where they came from, I have no idea..."
"Well, it’s better to just get this done and over with." He said after a while.
Three red stars soon lit up on his chest as an iridiscent blade appeared in his hand.
[Lux Aeterna]
It was then that the mountains in Sagrada Dragona fell into silence.
Everything happened in an instant.
And soon enough, only a lone figure was standing at the summit.
"As expected, it consumes aura like crazy..."
Regis sighed loudly.
Around him were the numerous corpses of wyverns that had all been pierced with something sharp at their chest.
"Well, it’s time to see what these monsters are hiding in this mountain~."
Regis spoke out loud with a carefree expression as he entered one of the holes on the mountain that was caused by his grand magic earlier.
