Grand Return System
Chapter 500: My New Student Is a Natural Disaster
My New Student Is a Natural Disaster
After thinking for a moment, Leon said, "This is your Eldest Senior Sister, Selena. This is your Second Senior Sister, Rias."
He gestured toward the two women beside him.
Selena stood quietly beneath the afternoon light, her long silver-white hair shifting with the breeze. Her snow-white robes were immaculate despite the dust that still lingered in the streets. Her blue eyes were calm and composed, giving her the dignified presence of an Eldest Senior Sister.
Beside her, Rias smiled warmly.
Her long red hair flowed over her shoulders, and her bright red eyes carried a gentle playfulness. Compared with Selena’s reserved nature, she seemed much easier to approach.
Shasa looked from one to the other.
She straightened her yellow robe, brushed a little dust from her sleeve, and then gave them an obedient little greeting.
"Hello, cold and beautiful Eldest Senior Sister, gentle and considerate Second Senior Sister."
The corner of Selena’s mouth twitched.
Cold and beautiful?
She wasn’t sure whether that was supposed to be a compliment.
Rias, however, clearly liked the second half.
A pleased smile appeared on her face.
"Gentle and considerate Second Senior Sister..."
She repeated the words softly, almost savoring them.
Then she stepped closer.
Shasa didn’t retreat.
Rias reached out and gently touched her face, wiping away a streak of dried mud that had been left on her cheek.
"Hello, little Shasa."
Shasa blinked.
Rias smiled.
She genuinely liked this girl.
There was something strangely endearing about her.
Shasa was already eighteen or nineteen. She wasn’t truly a child, and she had experienced more hardship than many adults ever would. She understood what death meant. She understood what it meant to lose the people she loved.
Yet somewhere along the way, she had protected a small, innocent part of herself.
Her mind sometimes wandered in strange directions.
She could speak with complete seriousness one moment and then become fascinated by food or some ridiculous challenge the next.
It wasn’t ignorance.
It was simply the way she had learned to keep herself smiling.
Rias found that especially precious.
At such a young age, after everything she had experienced, Shasa could still remain carefree and laugh so easily.
There was a stubborn brightness in her that refused to disappear.
"Alright, let’s go..." Leon said lightly.
He turned around.
The matter seemed settled.
They had found Shasa.
She had agreed to become his student.
There was no reason to remain in Greyhaven City any longer.
Leon took one step forward.
Then—
Whoosh!
A gust of wind suddenly swept past him from behind.
Leon stopped.
His long black hair fluttered behind his shoulders.
A dark shape shot across the street.
A huge black rat darted between the broken stalls, carrying something in its mouth.
Shasa’s eyes widened.
Her expression changed instantly.
"Little thief, don’t run! If you dare to steal my sunflowers, I will beat you to tears!"
Her voice rang through the street.
Before Leon could even turn around properly, Shasa had already rushed after it.
Her yellow robe fluttered wildly behind her.
Her blonde hair streamed through the air.
Her small figure moved so quickly that she disappeared around the corner in the blink of an eye.
Leon stared at the empty street.
For a moment, he was speechless.
Damn it...
Does she have a dog’s attribute?
She disappeared just like that?
He had barely finished thinking when a commotion erupted farther down the street.
Several local boys were walking together.
The moment they saw Shasa rushing toward them, their faces immediately went pale.
They knew her.
And they knew exactly what happened whenever she started running toward them like that.
"Run!"
One of them shouted.
The group scattered.
But some reacted too slowly.
Shasa caught the nearest boy by the back of his clothes.
With almost no effort, she lifted him from the ground.
"Wait—!"
The boy’s cry had barely escaped his throat when Shasa swung him over her head and tossed him aside.
He landed in a heap of dust.
"Hiss..."
Rias sucked in a breath.
Selena’s eyes widened slightly.
Both women stared at the scene.
That was...
Far too valiant.
Selena’s lips twitched.
She looked toward Leon.
"Teacher, this..."
She gestured helplessly toward Shasa.
There were many things she wanted to say.
But somehow, none of them seemed appropriate.
Leon watched Shasa chase another boy down the street.
A faint smile tugged at his lips.
"Haha, my student has the potential of a Martial Emperor Realm expert."
Even Leon had been caught off guard.
This little student was far too valiant.
He had originally thought that bringing Shasa back to Amethyst Summit Division might make the place livelier.
Now he was beginning to wonder whether he had accidentally brought back a natural disaster.
He looked at the young woman sprinting through the street.
Such a young age.
Such astonishing physical strength.
And that fierce temperament.
She had been born with extraordinary power, yet had never received proper cultivation guidance.
Leon shook his head.
Perhaps calling her Little Shasa would not be appropriate for long.
He almost wanted to rename her—
Martial Emperor Shasa.
The thought made him laugh inwardly.
She really did have the bearing of someone who could one day become terrifyingly powerful.
Leon turned toward his two students.
"Go."
Selena and Rias exchanged a glance.
Then they hurried after Shasa.
They had to stop her before the situation became any more chaotic.
By the time they caught up, Shasa had already cornered the boy she had been chasing.
Her fists were clenched.
She was about to swing.
Selena moved quickly.
Rias caught Shasa from behind while Selena stepped between her and the frightened boy.
"Little Shasa, wait."
Rias gently held her shoulders.
"Little Shasa, it’s wrong to hit someone for no reason."
Shasa immediately planted both hands on her hips.
Her cheeks puffed slightly.
"This brat stole my sunflower. I’ll definitely beat him to tears today."
The boy rubbed his sore shoulder.
He was already close to tears.
But despite being frightened, his pride wouldn’t let him remain silent.
"You’re the brat! Your entire family are brats!"
