Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1989: Darkwood City

Chapter 1989: Darkwood City

Border

The Raven aircraft was going toward the border. On the way, I came across many flying vehicles. Many of them were leaving the city.

Seeing that, I raised my eyebrows. I didn’t know why so many vehicles were leaving the city. Were they from the wizard families?

Several questions appeared in my mind. So far, no one had spotted the aircraft. It was in transparent mode.

A few hours later,

The aircraft got closer to the border. I decided not to stop it. The Raven aircraft flew over the border. The system started giving me notifications.

[Ding! A Forbidden Wizard is chasing the host.]

Hearing that system voice in my mind, I was not surprised. Forbidden Wizards are placed in all the border towns.

After covering some distance, I appeared inside the system space. The Raven aircraft landed inside the blue-colored system space.

I told the members not to exit the aircraft. The members were taken aback. They didn’t know what was going on, but they obeyed the words of the Master.

Outside,

A middle-aged man dressed in a wizard robe appeared in mid-air. He scanned the surroundings. He didn’t find a trace of anything.

But he was sure that something was moving in mid-air. He knew what it could be. He thought the object could be an aircraft in transparent mode.

It was only owned by powerful wizards. He didn’t want to stay here any longer. He could offend those powerful wizards.

There were many wizards from the Magic Tower leaving the place. It could be anyone among them.

Swoosh!

He left the place. He needed to guard the border town.

Not long after, the Raven aircraft appeared outside. The members inside the cabin heaved a sigh of relief. The members looked at each other.

They understood that it must be the work of their Master. It was his ability. They had witnessed it before, so they knew when to remain quiet and when to speak.

The Zero puppet, in its red smoke form, was near the Master. It was paying attention to everything. I started operating the aircraft.

Swoosh!

The Raven aircraft once again flew smoothly over the clouds. It didn’t take long for the aircraft to reach the neutral city.

I stopped the aircraft and asked the members to exit one by one. The red smoke exited through the window. Then, I turned off the stealth mode and the aircraft before exiting it.

I put away the aircraft inside the system space. I turned toward the members.

"Let’s go inside. But I’m not taking the monsters with me." After saying that, I put the Vine Monster and Croc Monster inside the system space.

Patrick, Otto, Hank, and old man Rock followed behind me. The red smoke moved forward along with me, but no one could see it.

[Darkwood City]

We soon reached the entrance of the neutral city. The city was covered in concrete walls. It was a well-built city with a small population.

I saw one or two people coming in and going out of the city. I frowned. I had thought a neutral city would be the best place to start from.

But the city appeared to be deserted.

"Master, the city is quiet for a neutral city," Otto said from the side.

"Yeah, I doubt anyone would be here," Patrick said from the side.

Old man Rock was observing the situation. He didn’t know what to say. Hank was quiet, listening to the others.

"We should not leak any information. Just tell them we are here to do business in one of the satellite cities under the Magic City," I explained to them.

Hearing that, the others understood. They agreed with the plan. Next, we approached the main gate.

The guards standing at the gate were taken aback.

Because they found that the people who were coming were stronger than them. The guards were only Level-9 Wizards.

When we got closer, the guards stopped us. One inquired of us,

"We are here looking for a place to stay," I said to the guard.

The guard heard that. He saw the masked man. He noticed that the masked man must be the leader. There were four people standing behind the masked man.

The guard felt an unknown pressure from the old man. He then agreed to let them inside. The gate was opened. The group entered the city.

Another guard rushed to his side and asked, "Why didn’t you check their IDs?"

"Don’t you know the Mage Union is facing a threat from an unknown power? It could be them," he said.

Hearing that, the other guard’s face changed drastically. Clearly, he was not ready for that.

He then said, "Then let’s just inform the Captain. He will inform the City Lord."

Hearing that, the first guard nodded his head. Then, the two of them informed the Captain.

Meanwhile,

We began looking for a hotel to stay at.

10 minutes later,

A cab dropped us in front of the main hotel here. We entered the hotel and booked a premium suite. Then, the manager of the hotel took us to the room.

From beginning to end, they didn’t ask for our background information. But they were all clearly nervous.

A few minutes later,

We reached the room. The manager opened the door and walked in. He then began to show us around.

After having done that, he left the place. Everyone picked a room. I entered my room and shut the door. The red smoke appeared through the small gap that existed between the door and the floor.

Next, it reverted back to its original form.

"Master, what to do next?" the Zero puppet asked.

"Find the City Lord’s office. Then check whether he is on our side," I ordered the Zero puppet.

"Yes, Master," the Zero puppet agreed. Next, the Zero puppet turned into red smoke.

Swoosh!

In a flash, the red smoke exited through the window.

Seeing that, I raised my eyebrows in expectation. If the enemy side had infiltrated the place, then I was sure they would have done something to the City Lord.

So, it was necessary to check whether he had changed sides or not.
