Great, It's the Pervy Neighbor. We're Doomed

Chapter 934: Tang Jia’s Secret

  • Next Chapter

The second-highest lab rat was Yang Qi, and without a doubt, his strength spoke for itself.

Third and fourth place belonged to the pair of grave-robbing brothers, who, compared to Yang Qi, were only a few million behind.

After all, they were grave robbers, and based on the introduction, they were ruthless killers who had taken lives before.

What mattered even more was that they were brothers. When brothers unite, they can cut through metal!

So many people bet on them.

As for fifth place, that was the lawyer, Chen Sanshui.

Sixth was Wang Daqiang, the one who slept with his sister-in-law.

Finally, and unsurprisingly, was the only female participant this round, Zhang Jing.

In many rounds, the bet amounts placed on female lab rats tended to be low.

There was no helping it.

After the betting session ended.

The long-haired beautiful host announced that Round 34 had begun!

Round 34, Day 1, 7:30 in the morning.

Alice Apartment, inside a bedroom in one of the units.

Wang Daqiang was jolted awake from sheer terror.

Before he woke up, his arms and legs were flailing wildly upward, and his mouth was screaming in fright:

"Bro! I was wrong! Don't hit me! Don't hit me!"

"It was sister-in-law! She seduced me first! It's not my fault! Bro!"

When he finally jolted awake, he sat on the bed in a panic, his forehead covered in a dense layer of fine sweat.

On top of that, he had only been sleeping in his underwear, so his entire body was exposed, and when he casually wiped his hand across his skin, it came back slick with sweat.

After being startled awake, the 22-year-old Wang Daqiang sat there gasping for breath, frozen in shock for a long time. Only when he looked up and glanced around at his unfamiliar surroundings, realizing he was completely alone, did he finally grasp that he had just had a nightmare, and none of it was real.

"Argh! This is so annoying! I never should have filmed those videos in the first place!!!"

Wang Daqiang slammed his fists into the mattress on both sides of him, watching the bed depress and then slowly spring back into shape.

"No, it's all that damn Android phone's fault! If I had used a Fruit Phone, would the videos have leaked?"

Wang Daqiang's phone contained videos of him and his sister-in-law.

And not just one, either.

Of course, he never posted these videos to show off. They just sat in his phone.

As keepsakes he could pull out and look at later.

But somehow, videos that he had stored on his phone and never sent out had ended up in the hands of some strange man, and that stranger was using them to threaten him!

"Damn it! That sick bastard is a total freak! Threatening me is one thing. Other people threaten you for money, but you actually made me stay in this apartment ten thousand miles away for 7 days! What the hell is going on here?!"

If he weren't afraid of being beaten to death by his half-brother, he never would have complied!

But then again, if his brother ever found out about those videos.

His brother, who ran with the wrong crowd, especially since he never had much fondness for his half-brother to begin with.

So he really might end up dead, or at best, crippled for life.

No one could save him! Not even his parents!

"Sister-in-law! Ah, sister-in-law, sigh!!!"

He was 19 when he first got tangled up with his sister-in-law.

Actually, you couldn't really blame him for that.

Even though he thought his sister-in-law was incredibly womanly and alluring.

He had the desire, but not the guts.

It really was his sister-in-law who made the first move, and he just couldn't hold back, so he...

"It's all that damn Android phone's fault!"

After thinking it over, he decided the problem was definitely the Android phone.

He had heard long ago that Android phones were full of secrets that couldn't stay hidden, that any random app could access your photo gallery. And sure enough, it was true.

Speaking of phones.

After Jiang Ran's phone had been smashed to pieces by that gaunt middle-aged man in the village last time.

He hadn't planned on repairing it. There was no point.

These past few days, he had been using his old phone as a backup.

Now, it was a little past 9 in the morning, and he was ready to buy a new phone.

He had already picked out the brand.

He planned to buy that Samsung phone from Korea.

And he was going straight for the latest Ultra model.

Compared to Fruit Phones, he still preferred Android phones, mainly because he had always used Android.

He arrived at the only Samsung store in the entire city.

Back in the day, Samsung's sales in Hua Country were absolutely terrifying.

At their peak, their market share hovered around 20 percent.

For every 5 phones sold, one of them was a Samsung.

At their peak, even Apple couldn't compete with them.

But then, the explosion incidents caused Samsung's sales in Hua Country to plummet overnight.

Now they had fallen to such a pitiful state that he wondered if they would just pull out of the Hua Country market entirely, just like they had already done with their home appliances and such.

Since his goal was clear, once he arrived at the phone store and tested out the device, Jiang Ran placed his order without hesitation.

He directly bought the S26 Ultra, 16+1TB version.

It cost him 13,000.

Thirteen thousand was absolutely top-tier pricing for a phone.

But to Jiang Ran at this point, it was nothing.

He got his phone, and he got his receipt.

Looking at the receipt, his 13,000 yuan phone had over 1,600 yuan in taxes.

So he never felt that buying a foreign brand made him unpatriotic.

After all, this was real tax money being paid, a genuine contribution.

With his new phone in hand, he transferred data from his old backup phone right there in the store.

Of course, it couldn't compare to the data on his previous phone.

Once he had the new phone, Jiang Ran would also have to rely on memory to manually download and restore everything from his last phone.

Since the data transfer was taking a while, he decided to take a stroll around the phone store.

After looking around for a bit and getting bored, he stood by the entrance, gazing out at the street.

Whether it was a coincidence or not.

He actually spotted Yang Qi delivering packages!

Yang Qi spotted him too, stopping his three-wheeled cart and asking with a smile: "Hey, Jiang Ran, what are you doing here?"

Jiang Ran replied: "My phone broke. I came to buy a new one."

Yang Qi looked up at the phone store, his expression pausing for a moment, then he teased: "You're not afraid it might explode?"

Jiang Ran chuckled: "No worries. I've got luck protecting me."

Yang Qi had only been joking, but then his expression shifted. He got off the cart, walked over to Jiang Ran, and lowered his voice:

"Jiang Ran, do you still remember Tang Jia?"

Jiang Ran nodded: "Your friend? What about him?"

Yang Qi said mysteriously: "Remember how I told you I planned to investigate him?"

"I snuck into his house."

Jiang Ran's eyes widened, and he whispered in surprise: "You broke into someone's home? Be careful he doesn't sue you!"

Yang Qi smiled faintly: "He won't. I was very careful."

Looking up, he continued in a hushed tone: "After I got into his house, I did a quick search. Nothing out of the ordinary."

"I only found a diary."

"I knew he had a habit of keeping a diary. He's had it since he was a kid."

"And in that diary, I discovered some incredible secrets."
