Great, It's the Pervy Neighbor. We're Doomed
Chapter 951: Chain Pursuit
This was a young man under twenty years old.
His entire demeanor was impossibly calm.
After appearing in the third-floor hallway, he kept about five meters of distance from Brother Cao and the others, then stopped moving.
At first, Brother Cao and his group didn't pay him any mind, but after a few minutes passed, they noticed he was still standing there. Brother Cao shouted angrily:
"Are you sick in the head? Why are you just standing there?"
The young man tilted his head, staring at Brother Cao and the others, and with a calm expression reached behind him and pulled out a fruit knife.
The fruit knife was very sharp.
Gleaming with a cold light.
He held the fruit knife in his hand and said, word by word:
"Hello, my name is Ling Feng. Someone paid me to take your miserable lives."
"Huh?! What?!"
Brother Cao and the others thought they'd misheard.
But seeing Ling Feng's composed demeanor, it seemed they hadn't.
"Take our lives?"
At this, Brother Cao's eye twitched.
Tonight, everyone in this group had brought a weapon when they came out, either a fruit knife or a kitchen knife.
Now, they all gripped them tightly in their hands.
Of course, they weren't afraid. They had the numbers advantage, and in their eyes, the kid across from them was just a snot-nosed brat who hadn't even grown hair on his lip.
No fear at all.
"Good, good, good. Perfect timing. I've got a big temper today and nowhere to vent it. Go! Just stab him to death!"
Brother Cao had always had a bad temper. Now that someone had jumped out claiming he wanted their lives, he directly ordered his underlings to charge and finish him.
Four underlings, gripping fruit knives or kitchen knives, ran quickly toward Ling Feng.
The first underling to arrive raised his kitchen knife and slashed down at Ling Feng's head.
Ling Feng merely dodged slightly, avoiding the blade, and immediately, the fruit knife in his own hand plunged with perfect accuracy into the kitchen-knife underling's neck.
From his neck, scalding blood sprayed out, splashing all over Ling Feng's head and face in an instant.
Ling Feng's movements were too fast.
So fast that the other three underlings charging forward hadn't even reacted.
Then, seeing their first brother dead, they all froze in shock.
"Ten thousand each. Your lives are actually worth quite a bit."
Pulling the knife out from the kitchen-knife underling's neck, the underling collapsed to the ground with a thud. Ling Feng then gripped his fruit knife and thrust it at the second underling.
The second underling hurriedly swung his blade to block.
But the knife in Ling Feng's hand seemed to curve.
It didn't even clash with the fruit knife in his hand. By the time he reacted, he discovered that Ling Feng's fruit knife had already been buried in his neck.
"Urk, urk, urk"
The fruit knife in his right hand had already dropped to the ground. This underling clutched his neck with both hands, trying to stop the bleeding, while turning around, wanting to beg Brother Cao and the others for help.
But when Brother Cao and the others saw this scene, they all backed away, faces full of terror.
"Run! Run!"
Brother Cao bellowed, and hurriedly fled with the remaining underlings.
Including the other two underlings who had been among the first four to charge but were still unharmed.
"Hey, don't run! If you run, where am I supposed to earn the rest of my money?"
Ling Feng strode after them.
He said this with an expressionless face.
Brother Cao and the others fled in a panic, charging straight down the stairs.
After much effort, they made it to the first floor.
The first-floor lobby, which had been pitch black, was lit up by their thundering footsteps.
Once it was lit, they discovered to their shock that another young man had appeared in the middle of the first-floor lobby at some point.
That young man was dressed in a Japanese and Korean style, with somewhat long hair.
His whole body exuded an air of leisure and laziness.
If Jiang Ran had been here, he would have instantly recognized this as the very person who had knocked on his door not long ago and suddenly given him a Door-opening Kill.
Brother Cao and the others were currently being pursued and didn't give the person before them much thought.
They merely ran toward the glass automatic sensor door while shouting angrily at this young man: "Get out of the way! Kid! What are you doing blocking the path this late at night?!"
The young man lazily turned his head. Brother Cao's group brushed right past him and he didn't even care.
Because of this, they completely failed to notice as the young man produced a knife from his sleeve.
With a single slash, he cut across the face of the last underling.
That underling let out a miserable scream, clutched his face, and collapsed to the ground.
The fleeing Brother Cao and the others looked back, saw this, and flew into a rage.
But then they remembered, the one called Ling Feng from before, they couldn't deal with this. They all ran outside.
"Don't run!"
The young man stood where he was and tossed the knife in his hand forward like a throwing knife.
The blade flew with perfect accuracy into the back of an underling wearing a white short-sleeved shirt.
Instantly, the underling screamed and fell, the white shirt on his back soaked through with blood in an instant.
Seeing this, Brother Cao and the others were even more terrified and ran outside, not daring to pause for even a moment.
"Twenty thousand. That's enough."
This young man yawned.
Soon, a hurried set of footsteps sounded from behind him.
The young man turned and saw Ling Feng.
The two didn't know each other.
But Ling Feng saw the two people lying on the ground on the first floor and his brow furrowed slightly: "You did this?"
The young man said: "Manager Wu Meiling told me to do it. Said ten thousand per kill."
Ling Feng's face was expressionless: "Oh, so she found you too."
The young man kept yawning, seemingly very sleepy: "I only killed two. I really don't want to chase anymore. If you want to go, go yourself. I won't compete with you."
Ling Feng glanced outside: "The people have already run off right under our noses. Where are we supposed to chase them? Forget it. I also only killed two, so I'll take twenty thousand and call it done."
"By the way, my name is Ling Feng. What's yours?"
"My name is Wang Ze."
The young man yawned again.
...
"Brother Cao! Don't! Don't run anymore! No one's chasing us!"
Because they didn't dare leave the Alice Apartment complex, they had run toward other areas within the apartment grounds.
They ran to the outer area of the library.
Still, upon hearing that no one was pursuing, they couldn't help but glance back uneasily. In the pitch-black night, relying entirely on the dim yellow streetlights within the Alice Apartment complex, they strained their eyes for quite a while before finally confirming that they really didn't see anyone.
Only then did he relax.
He plopped down on the ground, gasping for breath, still muttering: "Damn, we are so damn unlucky! How did we run into two guys who can fight like that?!"
After catching his breath, Brother Cao immediately looked at the people beside him.
To his shock, he discovered that besides himself, there were only two underlings left!!!!
"Where's everyone else?!"
Brother Cao asked loudly.
The two underlings exchanged glances: "No idea! Either they're dead, or they got lost."
The more they spoke, the guiltier they felt, and the more afraid they became.
They had come tonight with a full eight people. How had it come to this, with only these few left?!
"Damn it! These people! Not a single one of them deserves to live!!!"
Seeing that he only had two underlings left, Brother Cao was so furious he pounded his chest and stamped his feet.
One of the underlings listened to his big brother make threats.
Because when they made threats outside, they really did kill people, so it was nothing. But here, making threats, he had noticed that every time they finished making threats, they suffered misfortune, people always died, the group always shrank.
So he had become afraid.
Turning his back to Brother Cao, hands clutching his head, this underling was in extreme agony.
He was truly afraid that in a moment they would run into some other misfortune.
