Chapter 250: 250. The Bedroom Situation

Maisie

Claws dug into the soft flesh of my ass and spread me open. A hot tongue dragged slowly from my soaked pussy all the way up to my asshole, and a filthy, high-pitched mewl tore from me.

That tongue worked me, over and over, until my thighs shook, every coherent thought in my head burning to cinders.

"Please," I sobbed.

Fangs ran over my clit. "Please what, malyshka?"

The voice vibrated against my folds and a fresh wave of it shot through me.

"Oh... gods..." I gasped, back arching.

His tongue pushed inside me and my head thudded back against the pillows. My fingers fisted in silky black hair and yanked, hard enough that his mouth was forced away from me.

Pitch black eyes caught the light. Silver hair teased his face stuck halfway through a shift. His body was strained with bulging muscles and fur. His lips glistened with my wetness.

"Fuck me," I begged.

Another pair of hands grabbed my thighs, holding them wider for him.

Soren.

Four pairs of black gazes stared at my bared core. Mercer leaned in from the side, mouth closing over one nipple, fangs scraping just enough to make me cry out with pleasure.

Quinlan’s fingers slid between my lips, wetting his fingertips, just so he could sink them into me.

I moaned, raising my hip for more, humping against his fingers helplessly as Mercer sucked hard. "Please. Please. Please."

Jericho’s laugh was cruel. "Greedy."

Quinlan pulled his fingers out of me and Jericho lifted my thighs higher, curving them around his torso. Mercer bit down on the side of my breast. Quinlan used his fingers to spread my wetness on my other nipple so he could suck it off. Soren appeared over my head, his cock pressed against my lips.

I opened for him, moaning around the length of him as Jericho finally sunk into me in one long, hard, thrust–

A hand closed over my shoulders, shaking me hard, and I woke up with a startled scream.

"Shit, Adams," Soren said. "Are you trying to blow out my eardrums?"

"What–what happened?" I panted, glancing around. The room was dimly lit, my surroundings snapping into focus as dreams cleared from reality.

No. Not a dream. A memory.

"You were moaning," Soren said, yanking my attention back to him. "You sounded like you were in pain."

And this was why I now preferred to sleep alone or not at all. I was either being plagued by vivid nightmares or I was being plagued with sex dreams. On some nights, if I was extremely unlucky, I got both.

I choked on my spit and began coughing. "Ah, yes. Well, I... I’m in a lot of pain. Cramping. Lots of... cramping... you know... female stuff," I lied, holding the sheets close to my chest, hoping it didn’t smell like desire in here.

He cocked a brow at me like he could smell my bullcrap, but he only turned around, running a towel through his damp hair.

My senses took leave of me instantly as I ogled him.

Sweet. Moon. Goddess.

He was naked.

Water trickled down his toned torso, the muscles of his arms bunching with every movement. I didn’t think it was possible to find a person’s back attractive, but I was drooling over it. The shape of his ass as he crossed the bedroom and grabbed a robe from his closet. The slight turn he made that showed off how heavily hung he was as he tugged on the robe, tying it loosely around him.

I panted for a whole different reason, my hands curling in the sheets.

And then, he moved towards the bed.

I froze. When his hand reached for the covers, my heart hammered so hard. I scrambled off the bed on instinct and crashed into the ground on my ass, clutching the pillow to my chest like it could protect me from him.

"W-what are you doing?" I stammered.

His eyes ran down my body slowly, tracing my curves lightly. "Usually, when I have women in my bed, they’re more enthusiastic." When I inched back, he sighed. "Enticing as bedding you tonight sounds, if I wanted my dick bitten off, I’d stick it in a kernel."

He laid out against the mattress, his large frame taking up most of the space.

I stared at the shrunken space and swallowed thickly. Even the air had grown thinner in the room. There would be no sleeping if he was spread out beside me looking like that.

I didn’t trust him to keep his hands to himself. Neither did I trust myself–my Lycan–around him. It would be cataclysmic, a recipe for a hot steamy–er... disaster.

Was it too much to hope he would let me take the bed and him the couch? Yes Maisie. Some rom-com bullshit.

I took the pillow and edged towards the door, needing to put some distance between us.

His voice halted me half-way across the bedroom. "Where do you think you’re going?"

"I–I’ll find a different room to sleep in," I threw over my shoulder, my hand closing over the door knob.

"Do I make you feel uncomfortable?"

I paused.Yes. God, yes. "No."

"Is this going become a habit then? Running from me?"

My hand tightened on the knob. Fabric rustled softly behind me and before I could pull the door open, a presence brushed up against my back. Too hot. Far too close.

I went rigid and whirled without thinking, which only brought Soren and I chest to chest. The air in my lungs ceased and I tipped my head all the way back to look at him.

"Do you know what rabbits do when they’re caught in a snare, Adams?"

His voice was flat and bored. But his eyes, goddess, his eyes. They were like oceans of deep blue on fire.

I expelled a rough exhale when his hand landed on my waist.

"They panic," he said, fingers that burned as ior as his gaze sliding around my waist and flattened against my spine. "They struggle. And the harder they fight, the deeper the snare cuts. They tear their own flesh open trying to escape. They mutilate themselves. But all they really manage to do," he leaned closer. "Is bleed out faster."

Sweat broke on my skin as I felt that overwhelming urge I did earlier to kneel, submit, beg, run. He was in front of me, but it felt like he was everywhere.

"Panic," he said. "Dig. Panic. Destroy. Dig. They dig their holes a little deeper, thinking they’ll find a way out if they just keep going. Running." He smiled. "Would you like to know where that gets them, Adams?"

I couldn’t answer.

His lips curved against my skin. "They become dinner."

This definitely wasn’t about rabbits.

My chest rose and fell against his. He smelled like soap and aftershave and something darker. "Soren," I breathed.

My pulse went wild as his mouth inched closer, and my stupid brain screamed, he’s going to kiss me.

But he reached behind me instead and the sound of the door shutting and the lock clicking broke the spell.

He walked away from me. "Take the floor or the couch, Adams. Jump off the balcony if you’re feeling extra melodramatic. But this is where you sleep tonight." A pause. "And as we’ve previously established, I’m too much of a jerk to give you the bed."

Naturally, I chose the couch.
