Harem System: Spending Money On Women For 100% Rebate!
Chapter 420 - 420: The Night Watch [FIXED!][27/06!]
Kyle's eyes fluttered open to darkness.
Not complete darkness—the kind that came from blackout curtains and a door left slightly ajar. The room was bathed in the soft glow of a bedside lamp he didn't remember turning on. Someone must have come in while he slept.
"Someone took care of me."
He sat up slowly, his body protesting the movement. His muscles ached, but it was a good ache—the kind that came from deep, uninterrupted rest. The sleep had hit all the right spots. His mind felt clear. His limbs felt heavy but functional.
"How long was I out?"
Kyle reached for his phone on the nightstand. The screen glowed to life, illuminating his face in the darkness.
[11:47 PM.]
"Well into the night. Past eleven but not yet midnight."
He had slept through the entire afternoon and evening. The day had slipped away while he was unconscious, and now he was wide awake with nowhere to go and nothing to do. He changed into new clothes, a short and singlet.
"I'm not going to be able to sleep for hours."
Kyle sighed and swung his legs over the edge of the bed. His stomach growled—a deep, insistent hunger that reminded him he hadn't eaten since breakfast with Viktor.
"Food. There has to be food."
He padded out of the bedroom and into the suite's main living area. The lights were dimmed, the kind of ambient glow that signaled bedtime. The kitchen counter caught his attention first.
A plate sat there, covered with a silver cloche. Kyle lifted it and found a meal that looked like it had been prepared hours ago but kept warm—steak, medium rare, with roasted vegetables and a side of what appeared to be truffle mash. The proteins were abundant. The meal was clearly designed to refuel his body.
"They made sure I was well fed."
He smiled. The women in his life—Cassandra, Jane, Ella, even little Jasmine in her own way—had made sure he wouldn't wake up hungry. They had thought of him even while he slept.
Kyle ate standing at the counter, the steak tender and flavorful. The vegetables were perfectly roasted, the mash creamy and decadent. He finished every bite and felt the energy returning to his body.
"Now what?"
He walked through the suite, checking the bedrooms. Cassandra's door was closed. Jane's door was closed. Jasmine's room was quiet, and Junior's portable crib was still. Everyone was asleep.
"I can't blame them. It's almost midnight."
Kyle wandered into the living room. The television was off, but the remote sat on the coffee table. He considered watching something to pass the time—a movie, a show, anything to occupy his mind until sleep returned.
Then he noticed her, it was Ella.
She was curled up on the couch, her body tucked into a small ball, one arm draped over the back of the cushion. She wore a loose t-shirt and shorts, her hair fanned out across a throw pillow. Her face was relaxed in sleep, the sharp edges of her personality softened into something almost peaceful.
"She's asleep."
The first thought that crossed Kyle's mind was revenge. She had tormented him earlier—standing at his bedside like a silent specter, refusing to leave, refusing to speak, just existing in his space until he broke.
"I could wake her up. Make her pay."
But he didn't. She hadn't disturbed him physically. She had just been present. Annoying, yes. Infuriating, yes. But not malicious.
"She wasn't trying to harm me. She was just being annoying as usual."
Kyle sat down on the opposite end of the couch, leaving space between them. He picked up the remote and scrolled through the streaming options, looking for something mindless to watch.
Ella shifted in her sleep.
Her head, which had been resting at an awkward angle against the armrest, slid downward. She adjusted instinctively, her body seeking comfort, and her head landed in Kyle's lap.
He froze for a second because he thought it was intentional, Kyle looked down at her to see if it was but her breathing didn't change. She didn't stir. She just lay there, her cheek pressed against his thigh, her body curled into a loose ball.
"She's still asleep. She has no idea I'm even here."
Kyle exhaled slowly. He could have moved her. Could have gently shifted her back to her original position. But she seemed so comfortable, so peaceful, and the warmth of her head against his leg was oddly soothing.
"Fine. She can stay."
He put on the headphones that were lying on the coffee table—noise-canceling, expensive, the kind that blocked out everything except the content. He selected a documentary about deep-sea exploration and settled back into the couch.
The narrator's voice was calm, measured. The visuals were stunning—bioluminescent creatures drifting through the abyss, ancient shipwrecks encrusted with coral, the vast, silent expanse of the ocean floor.
Kyle let himself get lost in it.
The weight of Ella's head on his lap. The warmth of her body. The soft rhythm of her breathing.
"This is nice."
He didn't know how long he sat there. Minutes. Maybe an hour. The documentary played on, and Kyle felt the tension of the day slowly unwinding from his shoulders.
Little did he know, Ella's eyes were not fully closed.
She had been awake the whole time.
When her head had slid into his lap, she had felt the shift, the hesitation, the moment Kyle decided to let her stay. She had felt his body relax as he settled into the movie, the way his fingers occasionally brushed through her hair without thinking.
She was grinning, hidden in the darkness, her face pressed against his thigh.
"He's so easy."
But she didn't say anything. She didn't move. She just lay there, soaking in the warmth of his presence, the quiet intimacy of a moment that didn't need to be anything more than it was.
Kyle sat perfectly still, his breath hitching as he looked down at Ella. She looked so peaceful, her breathing shallow and rhythmic, her head resting heavily against his thighs. He didn't want to move an inch, terrified that the slightest shift would wake her from her slumber and break the fragile, intimate silence of the room.
Ella, however, was wide awake. She could feel the warmth of his legs beneath her and the slight tremor in his muscles. A mischievous spark lit up her mind, and she decided to play a dangerous game. Keeping her eyes tightly shut and her breathing steady, she shifted her weight almost imperceptibly.
She let her cheek slide just a fraction of an inch across the fabric of his shorts, a slow, grazing movement that felt like a lightning strike to Kyle's nervous system.
Kyle stiffened, his heart hammering against his ribs. "She's just adjusting in her sleep," he told himself, though his pulse quickened. He stared at the ceiling, trying to focus on anything other than the soft pressure of her face against him.
Ella didn't stop. She leaned into him a bit more, letting her nose brush against the sensitive skin of his inner thigh. It was a movement so subtle it could have been an accident, but the timing was surgical. She felt him jump slightly, a sharp intake of breath escaping his lips. She suppressed a smile, savoring the power she held over him while he remained completely oblivious to her consciousness.
She shifted again, this time arching her back slightly, pressing her hip firmly into the junction of his thighs. The friction was minimal, but the effect was immediate. Kyle's breath became ragged. He felt a sudden, violent surge of heat rush downward, centering entirely in his groin. Kyle wanted one normal night but his body was telling him otherwise in this moment.
If he got horny now, there was no one to take care of it as they were all asleep.
Beneath the fabric of his shorts, his cock reacted instantly. It surged with blood, thickening and lengthening until it was rock hard, straining against the material. As Ella let out a soft, fake sigh and nuzzled deeper into his lap, his dick began to throb rhythmically, a heavy, pulsing ache that demanded release.
Kyle gripped the edges of the seat, his knuckles turning white. He squeezed his eyes shut, fighting the urge to react. He was desperate to keep his composure, terrified that if he moved or reacted, he would wake her—or worse, she would wake up and see exactly how much she had affected him, that would boost her ego and he won't hear the end of it.
He tried to think of anything else, but every time Ella shifted—a tiny tilt of her head, a soft brush of her shoulder—his cock throbbed harder, pulsing with a raw, insistent need that made his entire lower body tremble. He remained frozen, a prisoner to his own arousal, while Ella continued to tease him in the blissful silence but for how long?
