Chapter 94. The Wedding.
Chapter 94: 94. The Wedding.
Austin stood at the edge of the pool and looked at it for a long moment.
Then he exhaled slowly.
Looking back at how things had been handled, at how stressful things had been, and at how hardworking the builders had been, always coming to him to ask various questions just to make sure the mansion came out the exact same way he wanted it.
Just looking back on all of this, Austin couldn’t help but grin as he muttered in his thoughts. ’Not bad. Not bad at all.’
But then, behind him, Austin heard footsteps approaching.
Nora was the first to appear by his side with her baby balanced on her hip.
Both of them looked at the pool with wide eyes, but then Nora pointed to the pool whilst talking to Luna.
"Look, baby, it’s a swimming pool."
"Daddy says it’s for us to swim in."
"But mommy finds it a little scary for my baby, so mommy will be waiting till you’re a little older before allowing you to swim in such a big hole filled with water."
Of course, Austin could be seen smiling as he listened to what Nora was saying to their daughter.
Meanwhile, Nora looked around the garden slowly as she took everything in.
Her tail also began wagging behind her the moment she realised that this huge mansion would now be theirs, and she couldn’t help but recall the promise Austin had made to her a few months ago, about having a home, a child, and a wedding.
A smile graced the stunning wolfkin’s lips as she recalled everything in perfect detail.
Meanwhile, Luna was also staring at the water with an intense and curious gaze.
A part of her wanted to check out the water as well, and she tried to reach out to it with one of her chubby little hands.
Noticing this, Nora chuckled and muttered softly. "Don’t even think about it, pupcake."
Luna retracted her hand with an innocent look on her face, and Austin couldn’t help but laugh as he reached over to ruffle Luna’s hair before turning back toward the mansion.
"Alright, my beautiful ladies. Come on. Let me show you the inside."

Days passed and now the wedding was set for three days’ time, now that the mansion was completed.
Of course, it had been Rowena’s suggestion to hold it quickly rather than wait, and Austin hadn’t argued.
Since the invitations had already gone out months ago and the guests had already been confirmed, this only meant that there was no reason to delay the wedding anymore.
And so, on the morning of the wedding, Rowena’s mansion buzzed with an energy it had never quite had before.
Carriages could be seen arriving from different parts of the kingdom since the previous evening, each of them pulling through the gates with their house crests visible on the doors.
Their occupants stepped out in formal attire and were shown to their guest rooms by Cedric’s carefully organised team of staff.
By the time morning came, the grounds were already full of movement and people conversing quietly.
Ophelia had arrived two days early as well.
She was currently stationed outside the door of Rowena’s old room in the main mansion.
This was where both Rowena and Nora were getting ready, and she had been there since sunrise.
Seeing this, everyone agreed in their minds that this was truly both impressive and slightly alarming for a woman who normally didn’t surface until mid-morning for any occasion.
But then again, since this was her niece’s wedding, it perfectly made sense why she had arrived so early to this very special occasion.
"You cannot rush this, ladies. I don’t care how long it takes. My niece is getting married once in her several thousand years of life, and I will not have her walking out of that door in anything less than perfect." Ophelia gave a stern warning to the head seamstress, along with her assistants, through the closed door she was currently standing in front of.
"Aunt Ophelia. We are fine in here." Rowena’s voice came through the door, but Ophelia replied with her arms folded underneath her massive breasts.
"I’ll be the judge of that."
Meanwhile, down the corridor, Tatiana was leaning against the wall with her own arms folded underneath her breasts as she stared at Ophelia with an amused look on her face.
"She’s been standing there for two hours." She said to Elena, Legolas’s girlfriend, who was passing by with a stack of folded table linens.
"Yes, today is a very special day to the countess and her aunt." Elena replied softly.
"Well, they should hurry up because someone is tired of waiting out here." Tatiana muttered as she watched Elena go.
Then she looked back at Ophelia before looking down at herself and the formal attire she had been strongly encouraged to wear for the occasion by approximately four separate people that morning.
Tatiana tugged at the fabric across her shoulder with a dissatisfied expression on her face before muttering to herself.
"I don’t even understand why I can’t just wear my usual clothes."
Although she didn’t really like wearing clothes unlike the humans and elves living in this mansion, Tatiana had slowly grown attached to a specific type of clothing she had recently been wearing a lot whenever she wasn’t in her room.
This was the same set of clothing she had been hoping to wear on this special occasion as well, but to her surprise, she had been given a new type of clothing to wear.
The dragon lady could only sigh softly as she hoped the wedding would swiftly begin and come to an end sooner, so that she could return to her room for a good long nap.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Austin was just getting dressed in one of the rooms in the new mansion’s main wing.
He was currently being assisted by two young attendants who had been sent over from Rowena’s household staff, and both of them were trying very hard not to visibly react to the fact that they were currently dressing the potion lord on his wedding day.
How cool was that?!!!
